17/03/2024: My wife and I slept for 2 nights at this farmhouse located in Nimis. My wife and I had a great time. The rooms are very clean, spacious and equipped with every kind of comfort, very warm, and faithful in my opinion to the Friulian territory. Very nice even from the outside with a covered veranda and a closed one where you can eat or drink a glass of wine. Own production wines, both white and red are good. In my opinion, the furnishings are typical and well structured, with the central Fogolar, always on, creating something familiar. Very kind staff and very willing to meet customer needs. Typical Friulian cuisine also always very good in my opinion.

27/03/2024: We had dinner here for our anniversary. Stunning venue, impeccable service and exquisite food with generous portions, which more than justify the price range. We had the pleasure of being served by a truly kind and competent waiter. We will definitely return, especially in summer to enjoy the outside. Even with the rain, however, the windows create a beautiful atmosphere, very romantic and welcoming. Highly recommended!

11/03/2024: Non siamo andati via alla sola portata della bibite solo perché eravamo ospiti di un compleanno. Servizio che più pessimo di così non l’abbiamo mai visto. Clima di tensione pazzesco, in 3 minuti che ci siamo seduti al tavolo già non ne potevamo più di stare lì. Cameriere di un’arroganza allucinante, ragazza con il muso lungo fin per terra ancora peggio. Siamo stati trattati malissimo e come degli stupidi, alle normali richieste ci è stato risposto con toni arroganti e maleducati, atteggiamenti come se ci stessero facendo un favore (ci è stata anche sbattuta la porta in faccia uscendo). Peccato perché il cibo è molto buono. Non ci torneremo MAI più. Servizio 0, cafonaggine 10.

16/03/2024: You won't find an infinite choice of dishes on the menu but the few offered are made with genuine local dishes. In the appetizer we can taste the giardiniera prepared with vegetables grown in the field outside, with an excellent flavour. The first courses are also good, for example the beetroot gnocchi. In the seconds we have excellent shin. Prices are competitive. Very kind staff. If you like, you can also go and say hello to a beautiful pair of donkeys in the enclosure at the end of the property.

31/03/2024: The Friulian cuisine is good but the owner plays a clownish character who confuses authenticity with rudeness, acting as if he had invented this cuisine, and takes confidences without anyone granting them to him. If you want to eat here, order your dishes without giving pretexts for conversation to the clown to avoid the annoying and miserable spectacle of how a complex person imagines himself to be an innkeeper.

18/03/2024: Ate well, stay well. Very nice and easy-going host, one of those with whom you would happily spend an evening but who if you say something he doesn't like will mock you for life. Nice like that, it's part of the game. Authentic Friulian environment. He offers us a complete tasting menu from appetizer to dessert without giving us too many details on what we would have eaten unless after our explicit and repeated request. No menu is brought and the cost of the "trip" is not mentioned. In the end: we ate well, we drank well, we felt good but already towards the middle of dinner our bets on the "price of the trip" had started. When we arrived at the checkout it was 50 euros each (whack), especially because even though we ate well, the portions were decidedly small. Excellent for company dinners or when the customer (or mum and dad) pays. We will avoid going back out of our own pocket.

14/12/2023: Come promesso siamo ripassati nella locanda anche in inverno e non ci ha delusi. Il proprietario ci ha accontentati sebbene il locale fosse al completo ci ha trovato un posto per cenare. Menú vasto e tutto di ottima qualitá servito sempre con un tocco di simpatia che non guasta mai. Il goulash era fantastico e anche la grigliata mista.Locale da provare assolutamente.Isabella .

13/03/2024: It was already 2pm and we were still looking for a restaurant. Finally an entrance, near the almost hidden cathedral. The menu included almost exclusively 'frico' (processed cheese). We chose the one with potatoes. Never found one so good!!! I was worried about my digestion: no problem! Modest prices.

06/04/2024: When they poured me the wine in a small quantity I thought it was for tasting, but instead it was a "glass" (excessive even at double the price on the menu). In the end a mark-up on the wine and a feeling of being treated like tourists to be fleeced. It's a shame, because we didn't have a bad meal and the place is nice, even if not as authentic as it used to be.
