07/04/2026: Lunch with friends on a cold February Sunday. The place is lovely, traditional, and welcoming. Plenty of staff, but the service isn't very attentive. As for wine, there are few, cumbersome menus, huge and cumbersome to navigate. We started lunch without even choosing a wine...we asked at least three times. The food was average; we chose the classic Arnaldo menu. We had high hopes for the boiled meats, but when they were served, they were lukewarm, and to top it off, we all felt sick the next day. We had high hopes, but unfortunately, they weren't met. What a shame.

06/04/2026: A fabulous and varied menu of haute cuisine, from appetizers to desserts. Excellent wines and impeccable service. I highly recommend it.

29/03/2026: Very nice place, with a true trattoria feel. The staff is very kind, helpful, and very friendly. The tortelli are delicious, as are the gnocco fritto and desserts. The prices are very reasonable. Ample parking and outdoor seating. Reservations recommended.

15/03/2026: For our first dinner at this restaurant, we were thrilled! Reggio's culinary tradition is a shining example here, leaving you speechless, but only briefly, given the excellent menu options. The fried gnocco (in Reggio they say "il" gnocco, not "lo" gnocco) is amazing, as are the cured meats. I then literally savoured the pork cheek on a bed of vegetables, so much so that, at the end, the plate was so clean it didn't even need washing. I finished with a generous slice of zuppa inglese, which moved me because its flavour reminded me of when my mother used to make it and I would steal the cocoa cream... So many slaps! In short, everything was perfect! We'll definitely be back, especially because the service is truly excellent and the price is more than fair.

13/04/2026: Everything was perfect, no doubt about it. I'd been wanting to dine at this restaurant for a while, and it exceeded my expectations. From the food, the welcome, and the location. We tried both the starters and the dessert trolley, everything was perfect.

04/04/2026: Excellent customer service, impeccable food quality, clean environment (impeccable bathrooms, to name the most "sensitive" example), the 5 stars are more than deserved. Honorable mention goes to the selection of boiled and roasted meats, a Reggio Emilia tradition now (unfortunately) rare in local restaurants, but respected to the highest standards, accompanied by typical sauces. What else? Professionalism, courtesy, customer service, absolutely reasonable prices. Spotlessly clean, well-spaced tables, a well-renovated, typical local building.

08/03/2026: Ristorante Cattini is located in a hidden green area in the hamlet of l'Orologia in Quattro Castella. The interior dining room is medium-sized and very quaint. The staff is professional and friendly. The menu features a few traditional dishes at reasonable prices for the quantity/quality offered, and there's a wide selection of wines. Their strong point is the variety of boiled and roast meats from the cart, served freshly to each diner. The zuppa inglese is truly delicious. The bathrooms are clean, despite the squat toilet in the women's room, which isn't ideal for everyone. Outside, there's a small play area and a patio with some seating.

27/02/2026: A place that's one of my favorites, where time has stood still for a few years in favor of substance. The first courses are good, and the roasts and boiled meats are expertly cooked. If I ever come back to the area, I'll definitely return.

07/02/2026: A welcoming location, friendly and fast service, and above all, truly exquisite dishes. Home-style cooking with a varied and appetizing menu. Reasonable prices and generous portions... What more could you ask for? Oh right... there's even a shop inside where you can purchase their dishes. This time, we stocked up on the leek tortelli. Bravo!

22/03/2026: We had a good time, the food was excellent and of good quality, with a wide choice from fried dumplings to hamburgers, fantastic rice bombs, the onion soup, cured meats and meats, the owner was very attentive to the service, along with his staff. I returned the next day for lunch. Hi to all the staff, Catia and Marco.

06/03/2026: We had dinner on a Wednesday with chizze and gnocco fritto. The prosciutto and salami were under-aged. The cheese chizze was good, but the erbazzone one tasted of fresh grass. The IPA beer on tap was good. The staff was friendly and helpful.

18/03/2026: Our experience at Bosco was memorable. We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch with the family in a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The service was excellent, not to mention the quality of the food... everything was delicious! We'll definitely be back!

01/03/2026: Four of us went for lunch on a Saturday: the dining room was full and the waiter was alone. He was very good, helpful, and professional, which was surprising considering his young age. As for the food, Il Bosco has always been a reliable choice, and this time it proved to be just that.

12/02/2026: Stopped by with a friend on a Saturday for lunch. The owner was incredibly helpful in finding us a table even though we hadn't booked. The place immediately evokes the feel of a 1970s club. Despite everything, the tables are set with impeccable professionalism. The cuisine is the same as it used to be, as we used to eat at our grandparents' house on holidays. The dishes are tasty but well-proportioned, neither minute nor overdone. A must-try is the cart of fantastic boiled meats; watching them arrive reveals the quality of the ingredients, accompanied by succulent sauces and pickled vegetables, also reminiscent of past flavors. The Lambrusco is one of those dark ones that stain the glass. The price is standard for Reggio Emilia, but it's not cheap. The service is attentive and meticulous.

07/02/2026: Title: EMBARRASSMENT AND CRAZY PRICES. RUN AWAY. Review: I strongly advise against this place to anyone who doesn't want to be ripped off. There were eight of us here and we paid €43 each, an outrageous sum for the service we received. The lack of transparency was total: we weren't given a menu, a tactic clearly designed to hide the prices before the bill. The appetizer was an insult: €20 per person for a ridiculous little plate with three slices of prosciutto, two of salami, and two of coppa, plus some mortadella and parmesan in the center of the table. Paying €160 for appetizers alone for such a paltry amount is madness that can't be justified in any restaurant in the area. The wine management was also terrible: two bottles of Lambrusco were served already opened (a totally unfair practice) and had an undrinkable iron-like taste. The worst moment was at the register: after we complained about the price of our appetizer, the manager tried to give us €40 back in cash to settle the matter. A pitiful gesture that confirms their bad faith: they knew full well they'd inflated the bill, hoping we wouldn't say anything.

23/03/2026: The restaurant is traditional. Attentive and courteous service. Tortelli average for the area. A note on the rabbit. Excellent cooking, but poor. Ordered three portions, and received five. Another point about the cover charge: for a trattoria, €3.50 per person seems excessive. But I'm also against cover charges in general.

12/03/2026: A trattoria offering a traditional Reggio Emilia menu. We ordered tortelli with walnut filling and cappelletti with porcini mushrooms. Both were very good, exceeding our expectations. It's rare to find cappelletti other than the classic ones, and when you do find them, it's always a lottery win. These guys, however, are truly excellent. The service is a bit sluggish, and there's room for improvement, but overall it's adequate. The price is average; I recommend trying it.
