08/03/2026: We dined and slept in this historic hotel. The kitchen serves traditional Emilian dishes, very good and authentic, and their Lambrusco wine is also delicious! The waiters are very kind and professional, although there were some imperfections in the dishes: we all ordered two courses, but we weren't able to eat together due to the lack of coordination between appetizers, first courses, and second courses. The rooms are very basic; those on the top floor are quite noisy due to a nightclub next door.

Their homemade tortelli are delicious, and the selection of boiled and roasted meats, with side dishes and sauces to match, is amazing. I really appreciated the staff's courtesy, and the prices are in line with other restaurants in the city. It's also suitable for groups, as, in addition to the classic dishes on the menu, they also serve excellent gnocco fritto (fried gnocchi) with cured meats and cheeses...highly recommended...👍

03/03/2026: Accessibility 3/5: The parking lot isn't very large, and is mostly a dirt lot. There are no handicapped ramps or reserved parking spaces. Ambience 3/5: The interior is also nice, welcoming, and has lots of exposed wood (which I find pleasant). I dropped from 4/5 to 3/5 because the bathrooms are terrible: old, dirty, poorly lit, with peeling doors. Menu 4/5: Good selection, mostly typical and traditional dishes. I would have appreciated a slightly wider selection of drinks and wines. Quality 5/5: The place's strong point. The dishes are truly high-quality; being "simple," you can taste the quality of the ingredients. They're certainly not diet-friendly, but that's to be expected with tasty dishes 😆 Service/Staff 4/5: Nothing to complain about; the staff are helpful and friendly. Price 4/5: This is the price you'd expect for this type of food and this type of quality. It's not cheap, but then again, quality isn't free.

18/01/2026: Second time trying the restaurant. Excellent both times, I couldn't find a single flaw! The menu ranges from ultra-traditional to much more elaborate dishes. The combinations are well thought out, and from what we tried, they were even very successful. The friendly and knowledgeable staff pampers you from the moment you sit down to the moment you leave, with an entrée and bread tasting at the beginning and a small pastry at the end. For the price of the dinner, you wouldn't expect such treatment. You get the attention of a high-end restaurant at the price of a proper osteria. My compliments, you've become a guarantee for me!

What more could you ask for? Oh right... there's even a shop inside where you can purchase their dishes. This time, we stocked up on the leek tortelli. Bravo!

10/12/2025: The place is beautiful, but the food wasn't up to par. We chose the surprise menu... and yes, it was a surprise, but unfortunately in a negative way. The dishes were disappointing and tasteless. Furthermore, the wait times were incredibly long, truly beyond bearable. A real shame, because with a location like this, you'd expect a completely different experience.

26/11/2025: Wonderful evening! I found the homemade green ravioli pasta excellent, perfectly cooked. The service was very friendly and professional, in a welcoming and refined atmosphere. 16/02/2026: Classic traditional Reggio Emilia place with a good variety of first and second courses, including vegetarian ones. The service girls are very good and fast. Everything is fine, I would say, apart from the background noise. We were in a small room with about fifteen people and it was difficult to talk to the person next door.

15/02/2026: The food was okay, no complaints. Definitely avoid the gnocco and tigelle. The four of us ordered 15 tigelle, five pieces of gnocco and cured meats, a bottle of wine, two appetizers, and two chizze, for a total of over €100. The problem was the cured meats. For 20 pieces of gnocco and tigelle, they charged us €48 for a cured meat platter, which was absolutely out of line, and the quality was also very poor. Really bad.

12/02/2026: Stopped by with a friend on a Saturday for lunch. The owner was incredibly helpful in finding us a table even though we hadn't booked. The place immediately evokes the feel of a 1970s club. Despite everything, the tables are set with impeccable professionalism. The cuisine is the same as it used to be, as we used to eat at our grandparents' house on holidays. The dishes are tasty but well-proportioned, neither minute nor overdone. A must-try is the cart of fantastic boiled meats; watching them arrive reveals the quality of the ingredients, accompanied by succulent sauces and pickled vegetables, also reminiscent of past flavors. The Lambrusco is one of those dark ones that stain the glass. The price is standard for Reggio Emilia, but it's not cheap. The service is attentive and meticulous.

07/02/2026: Title: EMBARRASSMENT AND CRAZY PRICES. RUN AWAY. Review: I strongly advise against this place to anyone who doesn't want to be ripped off. There were eight of us here and we paid €43 each, an outrageous sum for the service we received. The lack of transparency was total: we weren't given a menu, a tactic clearly designed to hide the prices before the bill. The appetizer was an insult: €20 per person for a ridiculous little plate with three slices of prosciutto, two of salami, and two of coppa, plus some mortadella and parmesan in the center of the table. Paying €160 for appetizers alone for such a paltry amount is madness that can't be justified in any restaurant in the area. The wine management was also terrible: two bottles of Lambrusco were served already opened (a totally unfair practice) and had an undrinkable iron-like taste. The worst moment was at the register: after we complained about the price of our appetizer, the manager tried to give us €40 back in cash to settle the matter. A pitiful gesture that confirms their bad faith: they knew full well they'd inflated the bill, hoping we wouldn't say anything.

21/02/2026: Welcoming, very well-maintained, and comfortable location. The menu features typical local products. We enjoyed the cured meats appetizer with good bread, fried gnocco (on the side), and breadsticks. We had a first course with wild boar ragù, and I must say it was magnificent, delicious, and generously seasoned. The second course was a shin of pork with potatoes, cooked very well and accompanied by delicious baked potatoes. We shared a small bottle of Lambrusco red wine (€7). The price wasn't exactly cheap, but it was fair for the service and quality. We appreciated the owner's friendliness and hospitality. Convenient parking.

24/12/2025: A pleasant discovery in the center of Bresciello. A small deli with a kitchen, the fried gnocco is delicious. The stew is also worth a visit. The atmosphere and service are informal and welcoming. Excellent value for money. If you're passing by, stop by; it's worth it.

19/11/2025: Arriving from Padua we stopped for lunch, everything was good and the girl was very kind, the place was a little small but welcoming, we will return
