13/01/2026: True gastronomical experience with tradition at the root, and it’s refreshing and comforting. No clue why they took away the star from them at Michelin, but this is a highly recommended venue.
08/01/2026: After a couple of years, I'm returning to a restaurant I loved...unfortunately, I find the prices not in line with the quality, and the service, while professional, is rather slow and sterile.
The passatelli is tasteless, the boiled meat is decent but not as exceptional as it once was. The cutlet Bolognese is nothing exciting, everything is passable but nothing enchanting. In some trattorias, you can eat better or the same but for at least half the price.
The wine list is nice, but with few accessible labels.
What a shame!

03/02/2026: A classic restaurant serving traditional Emilian cuisine. Their homemade tortelli are delicious, and the selection of boiled and roasted meats, with side dishes and sauces to match, is amazing. I really appreciated the staff's courtesy, and the prices are in line with other restaurants in the city. It's also suitable for groups, as, in addition to the classic dishes on the menu, they also serve excellent gnocco fritto (fried gnocchi) with cured meats and cheeses...highly recommended...👍

05/01/2026: Still fresh in the memory of today's group lunch at Quinta Terra in Rio Saliceto with friends, I want to tell you I'd go back tomorrow!!! Let's start with the reservation and agreement on the group menu. The management was very kind and helpful, with WhatsApp service. The menu is rich in Emilian tradition, from which I only had to choose a few dishes. It was hard because just reading it makes you like everything! Now I'll do something different. I don't have photos because we forgot to take them, but if you go to their pages you'll find them, and I guarantee they are exactly like that. I'm offering you the menu I put together. Go there and try it.
EVERYTHING SUPERLATIVE and the price very competitive.
My menu suggestion
Appetizers
- Scamorza cheese rolled on a bed of radicchio and balsamic vinegar cream
- Pumpkin flan on Taleggio cheese fondue
Two first courses:
- Potato and speck tortelli with walnut sauce
- Egg tagliolini with mushroom and sausage ragù
Main course:
- Roast pork cheek served with sautéed vegetables and potatoes
With excellent, well-known wine for every three people. Then, off-menu, we ordered homemade desserts (zuppa inglese, torta tenerina, mascarpone with berries and chocolate shavings, and cheesecake), generous portions, a lemon and ginger sorbet that tasted like ice cream, and coffee.
Fast and courteous service.
They also offer the option of taking home in a well-protected tray the leftovers, which are not much... if you don't finish it all, there were more women than men, and we know we eat less.
I am proud to say that in the lower Reggio Emilia area, there is such an excellent restaurant that retains the warmth and authenticity of the trattorias of the past. Unfortunately, it is always full and you have to book a month in advance if you are in a group.
02/01/2026: I've been wanting to go for a long time but never got around to it. Now that I've been there, I have to say it's absolutely worth it. Kudos to all of you. Keep up the good work.

Excellent both times, I couldn't find a single flaw!
The menu ranges from ultra-traditional to much more elaborate dishes. The combinations are well thought out, and from what we tried, they were even very successful.
The friendly and knowledgeable staff pampers you from the moment you sit down to the moment you leave, with an entrée and bread tasting at the beginning and a small pastry at the end.
For the price of the dinner, you wouldn't expect such treatment. You get the attention of a high-end restaurant at the price of a proper osteria.
My compliments, you've become a guarantee for me!

07/02/2026: A welcoming location, friendly and fast service, and above all, truly exquisite dishes. Home-style cooking with a varied and appetizing menu. Reasonable prices and generous portions... What more could you ask for? Oh right... there's even a shop inside where you can purchase their dishes. This time, we stocked up on the leek tortelli. Bravo!

05/02/2026: Trattoria with excellent homemade pasta dishes. The staff is a bit exuberant.
03/02/2026: This place has a mix of ups and downs, and I had high expectations based on the reviews and what I'd heard.
Let's start with the parking lot, which isn't very large; there's a valet who can even park your car on the driveway.
This time of year, however, it gets crowded, and after dinner, it's a real hassle.
The place is nice, even if crowded, with very competent and friendly staff and quick service.
The appetizer of fried gnocco and cured meats was not bad.
The fillet steak wasn't up to par, especially considering the price.
The total cost was quite high compared to what we ate and drank, and compared to other places of the same type.

10/12/2025: The place is beautiful, but the food wasn't up to par. We chose the surprise menu... and yes, it was a surprise, but unfortunately in a negative way. The dishes were disappointing and tasteless.
Furthermore, the wait times were incredibly long, truly beyond bearable.
A real shame, because with a location like this, you'd expect a completely different experience.
26/11/2025: Wonderful evening! I found the homemade green ravioli pasta excellent, perfectly cooked. The service was very friendly and professional, in a welcoming and refined atmosphere. The value for money was excellent, considering the high quality of the food and the attention to detail. I will definitely be back!

16/01/2026: The restaurant is practically on the street, and the interior decor could be improved. Calling it welcoming is an understatement, as it feels bare and lacks a clear identity. The concept is dated. The appetizers are pre-cooked, except for the cured meats, of course. The quality of the dishes is balanced for the moderate prices. Friendly staff and adequate service. I wouldn't return.

12/02/2026: Stopped by with a friend on a Saturday for lunch. The owner was incredibly helpful in finding us a table even though we hadn't booked. The place immediately evokes the feel of a 1970s club. Despite everything, the tables are set with impeccable professionalism. The cuisine is the same as it used to be, as we used to eat at our grandparents' house on holidays. The dishes are tasty but well-proportioned, neither minute nor overdone. A must-try is the cart of fantastic boiled meats; watching them arrive reveals the quality of the ingredients, accompanied by succulent sauces and pickled vegetables, also reminiscent of past flavors. The Lambrusco is one of those dark ones that stain the glass. The price is standard for Reggio Emilia, but it's not cheap. The service is attentive and meticulous.
07/02/2026: Title: EMBARRASSMENT AND CRAZY PRICES. RUN AWAY.
Review:
I strongly advise against this place to anyone who doesn't want to be ripped off. There were eight of us here and we paid €43 each, an outrageous sum for the service we received.
The lack of transparency was total: we weren't given a menu, a tactic clearly designed to hide the prices before the bill. The appetizer was an insult: €20 per person for a ridiculous little plate with three slices of prosciutto, two of salami, and two of coppa, plus some mortadella and parmesan in the center of the table. Paying €160 for appetizers alone for such a paltry amount is madness that can't be justified in any restaurant in the area.
The wine management was also terrible: two bottles of Lambrusco were served already opened (a totally unfair practice) and had an undrinkable iron-like taste.
The worst moment was at the register: after we complained about the price of our appetizer, the manager tried to give us €40 back in cash to settle the matter. A pitiful gesture that confirms their bad faith: they knew full well they'd inflated the bill, hoping we wouldn't say anything.

11/01/2026: I'm forced to write a review due to the way we were treated on Thursday, January 8th. At 1:30 PM, my partner called the restaurant to see if there was a table for two at 2:00/2:15 PM (since it says in front of the restaurant and here on Google that the restaurant serves lunch until 3:30 PM), but she was told the restaurant was full. Honestly, we found it strange that it was full at that time, so on a Thursday, since we're local, we stopped by to check. As expected, there were only four cars parked outside in the parking lot, and there were three tables inside. A young man greeted us and asked if we had a reservation. When we said no, he told us the restaurant was full and the kitchen was closing. We were incredulous because half the place was empty and because closing time was supposed to be 3:30 PM, not 2:15 PM when we arrived. That said, I understand the desire to go home, but I advise the owner to find collaborators who are also willing to work providing decent customer service.
