20/07/2026: In a beautiful villa with a well-kept garden and veranda overlooking it, we had lunch at this restaurant for the first time... impeccable and efficient service in describing the day's off-menu items... professional but also friendly... excellent entree with creamed cod, first courses really well executed and plated as well as tasty including those with summer truffle... as a second course, masterfully cooked duck breast with fantastic pumpkin ice cream!! Very fresh and delicious homemade ice creams and sorbets preceded by an excellent pre-dessert!! What can I say... I can't wait to go back!!

11/07/2026: We discovered this restaurant almost by chance and called at the last minute to reserve a table for two. Despite the sudden request, we were greeted with great warmth. Our dog was also welcomed and immediately brought a bowl of fresh water, a gesture we truly appreciated. The wine list is extensive and well-stocked. Since it was difficult to navigate the many labels, a local wine was recommended. It was a perfect choice, perfectly in line with our tastes. The dishes were excellent, carefully prepared and rich in flavor. One of the dishes, however, wasn't what we expected. Without further ado, the staff immediately offered to replace it with another dish. Truly professional and customer-focused service. We also loved the atmosphere: elegant, welcoming, and relaxing. We also appreciated the little touches: a welcome amuse-bouche, a small cake offered while we waited for dessert, and, finally, delicious cookies served with coffee. These are the details that make the difference and demonstrate the passion with which this restaurant welcomes its guests. The restaurant is a bit hidden, but it's definitely worth seeking out. Impeccable service, excellent cuisine, excellent wine recommendations, and sincere hospitality: we recommend it without reservation and will gladly return.

01/08/2026: We ate here because it was on our route and we were blown away. We ordered the Scamorza and Sformatino as starters, which were very good. For our main courses, the Tortelli with Cipolla di Tropea and the Tagliatelle with Ragu di Antra were amazing, some of the best pasta we've ever had, a 10 out of 10. For dessert, the Mascarpone was absolutely delicious. The service was also excellent, very friendly and welcoming. Without a doubt, this is a restaurant you should visit if it's nearby—authentic Italian and delicious.

04/06/2026: We didn't stay at the hotel, but we had lunch at the historic restaurant. The menu offers a variety of fish and meat dishes, and you can choose from several tasting menus. An interesting summer menu is also available.

03/06/2026: Wonderful restaurant inside, excellent, professional service. Excellent ingredients, meticulously prepared dishes. Divinely delicious boiled meat served with their mixed saline. Delicious first courses. Ditto the desserts. The meticulously maintained restaurant begs to be photographed, it's wonderful. The price is certainly not cheap...but it's worth it. The boiled meat cost €29. But the price is absolutely justified. We'll definitely be back.

01/08/2026: Excellent food, authentic and well-priced! Appetizer, two homemade fresh pasta dishes, wine and water, €44 including cover charge. For what we ate, the price was absolutely fair. Very friendly service.

25/05/2026: The best restaurant in Reggio Emilia, with traditional seafood and freshly prepared dishes. The cheeseboard is a must, with meticulous attention to detail for every course, and even the coffee is the best in the world. A gem in Reggio Emilia, only for true connoisseurs.

08/03/2026: Ristorante Cattini is located in a hidden green area in the hamlet of l'Orologia in Quattro Castella. The interior dining room is medium-sized and very quaint. The staff is professional and friendly. The menu features a few traditional dishes at reasonable prices for the quantity/quality offered, and there's a wide selection of wines. Their strong point is the variety of boiled and roast meats from the cart, served freshly to each diner. The zuppa inglese is truly delicious. The bathrooms are clean, despite the squat toilet in the women's room, which isn't ideal for everyone. Outside, there's a small play area and a patio with some seating.

27/02/2026: A place that's one of my favorites, where time has stood still for a few years in favor of substance. The first courses are good, and the roasts and boiled meats are expertly cooked. If I ever come back to the area, I'll definitely return.

10/08/2026: We've been there several times, and it has never disappointed us, right up until the last time. The food here is truly excellent; the kitchen is careful to use quality, locally sourced ingredients. Unfortunately, we were disappointed on the barbecue night. I think the meat preparation could be improved; not all cuts are suitable for grilling, and in our case, the meat was really tough. This won't stop us from returning, but we'll stick to what they do best: traditional Emilian first courses. In my opinion, prices have risen significantly; this is well known and should be taken into account.

01/08/2026: Osteria serving typical local dishes. We had two appetizers, the erbazzone and the cooked shoulder. For the first course, the passatelli with porcini mushrooms and truffles, all delicious, and the Lambrusco wine. Everything was excellent, the prices were in line with the quality offered, the service was also excellent, and there was ample parking.

03/07/2026: A truly special evening at this Scandiano restaurant. The atmosphere is meticulously crafted, and a welcoming atmosphere reigns from the moment you enter. We truly appreciated the quality of the ingredients. In particular, the tartare with shaved truffles was excellent and presented with great care. The meat with roasted potatoes was also flavorful and perfectly cooked. The meal ended on a sweet note with some truly delicious little heart-shaped chocolates. We will definitely be back to try other options.

27/06/2026: Returning from a trip with my son, I suggested we stop in Reggio Emilia for dinner. I was sure I wouldn't make a mistake, and the place was, as I remembered, quiet and welcoming. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful, as always. As for the food, what can I say? Simply excellent, with a varied selection, including desserts. Quality wines and an uncommon selection of liqueurs and digestifs. If you're passing through Reggio Emilia, it's worth a stop. Giuseppe.

23/05/2026: A historic restaurant on the number one boiled meat platter. Unfortunately, when you leave, you see the decay of a city like Reggio Emilia. Returning to the car late at night is definitely a total nightmare. And to think it's just a few meters from the police station.

18/04/2026: Without any pretensions to refinement, it's a lovely place to meet, sit at the village tables, enjoy company, and savor excellent local gastronomic specialties. A warm welcome, a smile, and Emilian courtesy are guaranteed!

26/08/2026: Unfortunately, it was a very poor experience in terms of value for money. €160 for two trays of tortelli (it was supposed to be a portion of four, but it was only for two), three coffees, and three bottles of water is truly exorbitant, especially considering the quantity and quality. One of the two trays was quite generous, while the other was significantly smaller, but in any case, the overall price seemed completely disproportionate. The staff was friendly, but the prices are way too high. Given what I received, I don't think the price is justified, and I personally don't recommend it.

26/08/2026: A decidedly disappointing experience. The place looks nice and the staff is friendly enough, but the quality-price ratio is unacceptable. For four people, they brought us a first tray of ravioli that contained literally too few ravioli each, not even enough for an appetizer. We were forced to order a second tray to eat something: this one was a bit more generous. When it came to paying, we had a nasty surprise: €160 total (€40 each, with only three bottles of water and three coffees). They basically charged us €60 for one tray and €80 for the other (€140 for two trays), an outrageous amount that doesn't make sense considering the quantities served. They clearly took advantage of the fact that we were out-of-towners.
