07/09/2025: La Baita was a pleasant confirmation, the owner was extremely kind, and the staff was knowledgeable. They immediately set up a table inside because it was a bit chilly in the evening... but let's talk about the food! Excellent! The Aieta ham is always a guarantee of delicacy, the ricotta is top-notch, the pasta is all homemade, the tomato ravioli are delicate and delicious, as is the lagane (tagliolini) with local chickpeas... It's definitely worth the drive up to this village... a restaurant open all year round that "consoles" you with its food culture. P.S. Sorry for the photos... we dusted everything...

20/08/2025: Beautiful restaurant with amazing food, I brought my mom here and she speaks no Italian and I am still learning. I thought there would be a physical menu, so I had trouble keeping up with the Italian of the waitress and owner but she was incredibly nice and understanding and even used Google translate on her phone to help us order our first course which was very kind and thoughtful of her. We were unfortunately too full to order second courses but the desert was also amazing. Service and food were all fantastic! I'd love to come back again with a bigger group, and when my Italian is improved!

24/08/2025: The bistro is a tranquil escape from the chaos of city life, embodying the essence of a truly slow-paced lifestyle. If you're in the area, it's the perfect place to savor traditional Calabrian cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients. The hostess, La Signora, the waitress was incredibly kind to us. After seating us at the table, she promptly offered some delightful bread, including a spicy bread with peperoncino. The restaurant has only five tables, so it's advisable to make a reservation in advance. The antipasto is a must-try, featuring a selection of typical dishes that allow you to enjoy a variety of delicious flavors. We decided to go straight to the second course, but the pasta and first course options looked so tempting that we couldn't resist ordering a bowl of pasta and fagioli. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely be back. Bravi!

23/08/2025: We ate well, although some dishes seemed bland (but perhaps that's part of Calabrian culinary culture). The welcome was warm, although the chef's (he prefers to be called that) temper tantrum over an incident that occurred shortly before our order meant that the gnocchi ordered for my son left a lot to be desired... 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

The menu, though fixed, offers a choice of four first courses and/or three second courses. The appetizers are a sensory journey through the streets of Rocca Imperiale, with every bite expressing this place. Silvana is also an attentive and thoughtful restaurateur, approaching you with discretion and kindness, never presumptuous. She helps you choose dishes based on your tastes and makes sure you don't waste money on something you won't eat, perhaps because you're full. The bill is commensurate with the quality of the ingredients; if you'd like to learn more, mop up each appetizer dish...you'll understand the quality of the products served. 01/09/2025: Enchanting place and wonderful staff! Mrs. Silvana knows her stuff! Despite what some reviews label her as unfriendly, I can say she's not! Silvana is proud of what she's created, and rightly so! The restaurant is small inside but meticulously maintained, while outside you eat in a beautiful open space. The set menu is a gastronomic journey through the history of the area. The appetizer is a selection of well-chosen and delicious dishes, followed by a choice of four first courses or three second courses. We ordered the first courses, hoping to have room for a second course as well, but we didn't manage it! For €33 per person, you get a fabulous appetizer, a sublime first course, water, and house wine. A great price for excellent food.

13/07/2025: We had a wonderful time 🤙🤙🤙 the Byzantine appetizer, besides being something spectacular, was also super abundant and for the first course we had scialatielli with buffalo mozzarella, nduja and taralli and another first course with aubergines and pizzas, all delicious

08/07/2025: A really nice atmosphere. We arrived three minutes before and were told to wait, so I recommend arriving a few minutes after opening. The food was delicious. Communication in English is spotty, but you can manage that with a translator on your phone.

The rooms tell stories of times gone by, with authentic details that lend a warm and familiar atmosphere. Making everything even more special is Laura, the owner: a wonderful person, attentive, helpful, and truly passionate about her work. She made us feel at home from the first moment, with small gestures and a rare kindness. Recommended for those seeking a place with soul, far from the coldness of modern hotels.

25/08/2025: A wonderful experience. The restaurant is surrounded by greenery, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The cured meats were truly delicious, but the meat was: 🔝Quality. I've never had red chili peppers this good, and the desserts were also very good. Highly recommended.
