25/07/2025: An enchanting experience This evening, Thursday, July 24th, my family and I had the pleasure of discovering Antica Trattoria Iannarone for the first time and were truly enchanted! As soon as we arrived, even from the reserved parking lot, a magical atmosphere reigned: the interior rooms are carefully furnished and rich in detail, and the exterior is a truly enchanted garden. The presence of animals in the garden, such as cats, ducks, and birds, along with the charming parrot that greets guests entering and leaving the restaurant with a "ciao!" and the carousels, create a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, especially for children. The family that runs the restaurant is extremely friendly and approachable, making you feel right at home. The food is excellent, with the freshest ingredients and flavorful dressings. You can also taste the excellent extra virgin olive oil used for the salad, perfect for mopping up the bread! We really appreciated the French fries, which were freshly cut and not frozen. To finish on a sweet note, the desserts are all homemade, a true delight. To my surprise, we were the only guests at the trattoria this evening, but we were told that the place is quieter on weekdays in the summer. We didn't mind, however, as it made our dinner more intimate. The only small point is that pizza isn't on the menu: a shame, the photos looked promising! The value for money is exceptional; we spent less than we expected. I highly recommend Antica Trattoria Iannarone to any family looking for an authentic (and different from the more commercial) experience that's tasty and relaxing. We'll definitely be back!

28/06/2025: Today after a day of historical documentation of the territory we stopped at this location. Apart from the quality of the food, especially the first courses, we must add the kindness, availability and familiarity of the owner that make the stay pleasant and welcoming. Definitely recommended.

05/11/2025: The place is quite nice, the food is delicious. If I had to say a flaw, it would be the somewhat slow service, but overall, it's very nice. I recommend it.

16/09/2025: Since we were half an hour early, we were told to wait outside. We weren't even offered an aperitif. The location was okay. The staff were unfriendly. I have no sympathy for this kind of thing.

04/10/2025: Pizzas ordered on Jast Eat with a delivery date of 7:50 PM arrived at 9:15 PM, but Jast Eat showed them as being delivered on time. I want to stop by because it's Saturday night and the delay could be expected. But the pizzas that arrived had been prepared much earlier, were cold and rubbery. The kids ate a piece and didn't want any more. I honestly won't buy from you again! I'll report this to Jast Eat.

08/09/2025: Coffee shop run by Chinese staff I ordered a coffee at an outside table, and when I asked for a glass of water, he invited me to get up and go get one at the counter... Crazy!

13/09/2025: So…let’s start. First thing first, theу knew that we are in organised tourists group and we don’t have the unlimited time to spend there. The menu they brought us was a flying piece of thin paper, full of wrinkles and wholes here and there (the restaurant known to be fancy and stuff), second of all, when we just asked what the “catch of the day” fish is, the only thing the waiter said was “it’s a seabass, perfect for two”, he did not explain to us that it takes so mich time to prepare the fish, or saying how big exactly the fish was(because of that it depends how much you are gonna pay, and maybe it’s easy money from tourists). We’ve waited a long time, all of the others from our group had their dishes finished, when we were still waiting. Anyway, here comes the fish(5 mins past the time of meeting with our tour guide, of course) great presentation, huge fish, still don’t have a clue how big it is actually, the waiter “clean” and serve the fish in our plates but left so many of the meat and the skin(we love the skin) on the main plate and took it away without asking if we wanted it or not, they took our bread as well(we haven’t had finished it) and for a dessert i found few big fish bones in my mouth while i was chewing. To sum up, we ate around 300g of meat from a 1.1kg fish and payed 95€. One of the most stressful and unpleasant experiences we had here. Also the toilets-trashy af. Ask for everything you want to order at least TWICE, because ause otherwise they’ll give you the most expensive options.

08/05/2025: Central location in Varcaturo on Via Ripuaria, good food done well. Even the fried fish is worth it! The owner is very kind and welcoming. Also good for a quick lunch.

12/03/2025: High-quality products that are always fresh, dishes always with delicate flavors, prepared with care and attention to detail, I recommend it to everyone for lunch or dinner, in a quiet and pleasant place, the owners are friendly and helpful.

16/09/2025: It's my first time here and I had a great time. The food is excellent, the service and the atmosphere are also excellent.

19/08/2025: I went to this pizzeria with my boyfriend and we ordered a Margherita and a Capricciosa. The pizzas were crooked, with a very generous crust, so much so that we wondered if the pizza chef actually knew how to roll out a pizza properly. The result was far from satisfactory. Furthermore, the prices have increased significantly, and considering the quality of the experience, the value for money is completely unjustified. We won't be returning, especially since there are much better pizzerias in the city.

26/09/2025: Excellent coffee During the summer months, you can enjoy both lunch and dinner outdoors on the seafront square, enjoying excellent seafood dishes. The staff is friendly. I recommend it.

12/09/2025: I had an ice cream. I wanted a good one, but I didn't ask for much! A superlative ice cream, licked on the terrace overlooking the sea.

31/10/2025: A crazy bar, impeccable staff, last night I went for breakfast before work, they made me happy and have a unique education!

14/10/2025: I stopped for a croissant with apricot jam, which was good, and a coffee, which I wanted in a small glass cup: served in a large glass cup, so the coffee, just the coffee, which I don't add anything else, not even sugar, was less than half a centimeter, a little burnt, I won't go back. Anyway, I'll say that I wasn't "sent" by anyone, I needed a croissant, I just wanted to enjoy the coffee, always without sugar. I've been enjoying coffee for over 60 years, I don't need any teachings except from those who produce it: Partenope, Salimbene, Aloja, Cafè do Brasile, etc., etc. Don't be disappointed by a bad coffee, it can happen, enjoy life.

30/08/2025: It's a welcoming place, the food is excellent and plentiful, the service is fast. I was there the other night with friends, I ate incredibly fresh raw fish, a very tender roast 🍖 and the pizza 🍕 c'è posto per te was truly delicious. I'll definitely be back.

19/10/2025: 1 star only because there's no 0 1 PENNETTA WITH FRESH TOMATO SAUCE 2 appetizers 2 seafood first courses SERVED WITH BURNED SEAFOOD JUST THE THOUGHT OF SERVING A DISH LIKE THAT AT THE TABLE IS ABSURD, LET ALONE EATING IT WE TOLD THE WAITER ALL ABOUT THIS AND HE SAID THEY WOULD RE-MAKE THEM. AFTER A 45-MINUTE WAIT, THE DISHES DID NOT ARRIVE. WE DECIDED TO LEAVE. WE ASKED FOR THE BILL AND HERE WAS THE SURPRISE ALLY FOR THE MODEST PRICE OF 102 EUROS OBVIOUSLY PAID WITHOUT ISSUING A RECEIPT CALLING IT A BAD EXPERIENCE IS AN UNDERSTANDING

30/09/2025: I don't usually share experiences, whether negative or positive, but now I have to! I stayed one night on September 29, 2020, and chose the Black Relax Suite. We entered, the room was beautiful, nothing to complain about... well-stocked mini-bar, etc., etc. But boy, the cleanliness!!! And first and foremost, the cleanliness!! Cobwebs everywhere, under the fridge, under the TV, near the windows, sawdust on the floor behind the mini-bar, things that have been neglected for years, and it's a huge shame, because for one night we paid €115, not even a little!!! It was truly horrifying to see all that obscenity. Otherwise, nothing to complain about: nice hotel, welcoming staff, but the cleanliness needs attention!
