15/05/2025: Trattoria with abundant and very good home-made dishes. The tagliatelle with wild boar was a really substantial dish to the point that I had to share it with my boyfriend. Superlative gnocchi. On the veranda of the restaurant there is the embers where the meats are roasted.. even the abundant and good ones.. not to mention the mixed salad, it seemed to have just come out of the garden. Low prices for what you eat.

25/05/2025: We were there on a Sunday for lunch, located near an old cloister, nice little place, friendly staff and average food, slightly dated interiors with little design, perhaps you think more about the substance than the visual quality, the dishes were good like the octopus alla Luciana and the linguine allo scoglio, the fried food was a bit miserable but an average lunch can be defined as a normal bill of around 50 per person

27/06/2025: It's sad to see that they don't have alternatives for lactose intolerants... I was looking for a vegan croissant, but they didn't have anything for me. I recommend integrating alternatives for those who are intolerant... we are in 2025!!

10/03/2025: I had heard good things about it, on Saturday in transit through Avellino, given the lunch time, I decide to try, it was busy rush hour, the boy at the bar prepares a table for me that had become free and I make myself comfortable, he brings me the menu, the water is the basket of bread (with bruschetta with butter, breadsticks, taralli and two types of small sandwiches) very good, I order gold series Cantabrian anchovies with croutons of bread and butter, excellent. First, linguine with sea urchin, excellent compliments to the sheff, all accompanied with 2 glasses of Aglianico. Even though rush hour, the service and wait was very good. I recommend it to everyone 🤗 both for an aperitif and for cocktails, and to those who prefer good food. Adequate price quality, see you next time by Cosimo 🤗

12/05/2025: Siamo stati ieri a pranzo in questo posto, ma non ci torneremo mai più. Appena arrivati ci apre la porta un signore (forse il proprietario) in modo non molto cordiale. Ci accomodiamo in questo locale che metteva a dir poco ansia, non c’era una tv e non si sentiva una mosca volare. Ordiniamo come antipasto due “taglieri” che taglieri non erano, arriva al tavolo un misero piatto (di cui allego le foto) con 2 bocconcini, qualche salume e formaggio. Vedendo questo piatto molto povero ordiniamo altri 2 bocconcini perché essendo in 4 di certo non potevamo dividerli. Per primo prendiamo gnocchi ai fiori di zucca e pasta con ragù cilentano ma non sapevano di nulla onestamente, mancava il sale e il ragù era solo pieno di olio ma non c’era nessun sapore di carne. A questo punto decidiamo di farci portare il conto per scappare da questo posto quanto prima…ma ora viene il bello. Il signore alla cassa senza nemmeno uno scontrino dettagliato ci chiede 95,00€, chiediamo il prezzo del tagliere ed era 28,00€ (al menu c’era scritto 14,00€) alchè noi allibiti chiediamo spiegazioni su quel piatto assolutamente misero. Il signore in questione insisteva che quel piatto era per 4 persone e che lui aveva mandato al tavolo altri 2 bocconcini ma quei bocconcini li avevamo chiesti noi 😂. A questo punto abbiamo pagato e siamo andati via, tutto questo per dirvi…NON FIDATEVI DI QUESTE RECENSIONI! Chi dice di aver mangiato bene in questo posto non è assolutamente una buona forchetta.

08/01/2025: Unfortunately we didn't have the chance to try the cuisine, to be honest not even to sit at the table because we were accompanied by a small 4-legged friend. and we were invited, despite having booked, not to enter in a rather unkind manner. If dogs are such a thorny issue, it would be advisable to always inform customers at the time of booking. Sin.

08/05/2025: Central place in Varcaturo on Via Ripuaria, good food done well. Even the fried fish are worth it! The owner is very kind and welcoming. Also good for a quick lunch.

28/06/2025: Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was far from what we had hoped for, and I feel compelled to share the details so others can make an informed decision. 1. Access & Parking – The road leading to the restaurant is a narrow rural path that honestly feels unsafe to drive through, especially at night. Parking is in an open, unpaved field right next to the restaurant – completely unlit, unorganized, and unsecured. To make matters worse, you have to walk past extremely foul-smelling garbage bins to get to the entrance, which is enough to ruin your appetite before even sitting down. 2. Service – At first glance, the staff seemed friendly and welcoming. However, once the restaurant began to fill up, everything descended into chaos. We managed to order and receive only some pasta, and then spent over 30 minutes trying in vain to get anyone’s attention to order more. It was as if we became completely invisible. When we finally asked for the check, for reasons unknown, it took another 15 minutes just to receive it. 3. Ambience – This is probably the one redeeming aspect of the place. The rustic design and the attention to aesthetic detail are quite impressive and show effort. Unfortunately, ambiance alone doesn't make a great dining experience. 4. Food – Here's where things truly fell apart. As someone who appreciates traditional Italian cuisine, I can honestly say the food here felt like an insult to it. The pasta was so undercooked it felt more like eating crunchy chips than a proper dish. Even worse, the amount of salt was absolutely overwhelming. And this comes from someone who normally enjoys well-salted food – it was simply inedible. Yes, we were served a small complimentary appetizer at the start, which was a nice gesture, but sadly, that alone cannot salvage what was otherwise a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience.

26/05/2025: We waited a really long time, we arrived at 12, we left at 16 (I had booked) just for an appetizer and a first course. Tasteless dishes and little quantity. Staff indifferent to the customer, high prices also considering the quality of the food. Parking where there is space, so also outside the street with cars therefore unattended.

20/07/2025: We were served by a completely unsociable person. The two of us had two starters, one meatball, a portion of French fries, a bottle of tap water, and a 25 cc bottle of local wine. All in all, we paid €45, without knowing the price of each course. I'll never go back.

16/05/2025: I was there with a group....quiet place and good food...welcoming owners...classic place for groups...very organized....equipped with parking and very convenient....very close to the caves....

18/06/2025: We had a really good time in this beautiful brewery with a well-studied design full of Neapolitan culture. We had dinner and the food was excellent: a menu full of interesting taste experiments, with an excellent quality-price ratio! The staff was helpful and kind☺️ During the evening we were lucky enough to listen to a very good artist live! 🎤🎸 My partner and I were away for work and we are sorry to have discovered this brewery on the last evening of our stay... But we will be back!
