After a long search and many disappointments with restaurants in Tropea, this was definitely our favorite. The food was really worth the money. The pizzas here are absolutely amazing, and the steak was also very good. A bit more expensive, but definitely worth it, with great portion sizes too. Beautiful atmosphere and super friendly staff.

The service was fantastic, the setting of the restaurant just lovely and the local white wine was by far the best we've had in tropea , the pizza amazing quality and flavors. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Porta Vaticana is the best restaurant in Tropea! Friendly, very friendly service, plenty of space... The food is wonderful! The local wine is the best! We regret that we came here at the very end of our stay! Come here to all those craving good local food... The waiters are very nice! Quick service, great atmosphere! We love you ❤️ We'll be back if we're in Tropea! You have nice, large portions! Keep up the good standards!!! Cool place, we'll be back tomorrow! 🫶🥰♥️🇮🇹 P.S. Don't look far... Porta Vaticano is just around the corner!

This restaurant is fantastic - the inner courtyard is absolutely beautiful, and the service is excellent. A bottle of wine for €15–20, especially a good Sicilian one, is incredible value. The food was very tasty overall, I especially enjoyed the squid. I’d definitely recommend ordering seafood if you visit. Located right in the center of Tropea, it’s one of the best and most atmospheric restaurants in the area.

24/08/2025: If you want to be pampered, this is the place to be. Pleasant atmosphere, excellent cuisine, top-notch service, both competent and discreet. Balanced quality/price ratio. We will definitely be back.

27/09/2025: It's like walking into a boutique rather than a Chinese store (no offense, it's just a figure of speech), in that quality makes a huge difference. The color of the chicken on display at the counter is certainly not what you'd see in any supermarket. And then there's the experience, professionalism, and good taste of the owners, who select not only the meat, but also the preparation that makes it unique. Try it and believe it. The bill? The difference certainly justifies the quality.
