We were walking around the Corso and this place caught our attention and met our expectations. Excellent dinner, exceptional welcome and service (especially Caterina with whom we also shared a few laughs) I highly recommend it!

We stayed a couple of days in Tropea. Last night we had dinner in this restaurant, the staff were friendly and always attentive, excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Cena de 9 settembre 2023. Abbiamo preso un'impepata di cozze, fileja alle cipolle di Tropea, scialatielli al porticciolo ed in conclusione una pizza ortolana, acqua e vino frizzantino locale. Tutto buono ed abbondante quindi, con prezzi nella media della stagione. Il personale accogliente, a partire dalla signora che ha preso le ordinazioni ai ragazzi che ci hanno servito. Ve lo consigliamo!

Tagsüber macht der Wirtsgarten vor dem Don Rocco keinen Eindruck. Am Abend, wenn der allgemeine Abzock-Betrieb in den Altstadtgassen in vollem Schwung ist, ist es eine dezent beleuchtete Oase vor der Mauer der Cattedrale di Maria Santissima di Romania. Das junge hochmotivierte Personal sorgt for schnellen und effizienten Service. Wir bekamen 2 sehr gute Pizze: eine 'Don Rocco' und eine 'Napoletana', die auch in Neapel nicht besser schmecken könnte. Eine sehr gute Wahl ist der moussierende Weißwein mit 12€ der Liter. Einzig die angeblich hausgemachten Amari für 4€ das Glas kamen mir ein bisschen teuer vor.

22/03/2024: Excellent place to enjoy a fantastic pizza....well structured and with quality ingredients. Little waiting and very friendly staff. The dessert also delighted the palate. Highly recommended for a nice evening
18/03/2024: Leaving aside the review of the food which has a very subjective evaluation, what really struck me was the service. In fact he was quick, precise and above all friendly. The waitress who looked after us was very kind, smiling and very precise, congratulations! I'm sorry I didn't know the name otherwise I would have definitely written it. The pizza is very good with excellent ingredients. In particular, I ate a pizza with gluten-free dough (difficult to find in other pizzerias). If I have to nitpick, the prices are above average.

30/08/2023: In August I had dinner with friends at this place on 2 different evenings. I tasted the pizza on the first evening and found it to be excellent in terms of the quality of the ingredients and the cooking done in the wood-fired oven, considering it perhaps too crunchy in my opinion (even though many people like it). On the second evening, however, I identified the perfect menu for the place: starter of cheeses and cured meats (quality and generous), a pork rib with potatoes and fried peppers as a side dish and a good bottle of wine. What can I say: we spent very little and had a divine dinner.
17/08/2023: I'm sorry to repeat the review... But for some time now the terrible service and little attention to the customer... Perhaps there is more attention to the family.... Than to the customer 🥺
