01/04/2026: Exceptional place to relax with friends. Quiet, sea-view room with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available. The seafront bar and restaurant are adjacent to the hotel rooms. The resort is truly huge!! They picked us up every morning from the Lido by car to take us to the breakfast room. Fantastic location!!

05/07/2026: I returned after a long time, and unfortunately they change locations in the summer, but the food is always good. The service is fast but a little chaotic, but that's okay. Prices are normal. I'll have to return in the winter.

08/06/2026: It is a very well-kept place but the whole city is very beautiful and very particular as it is made up of a very large square and many other small squares which are beautiful to visit in the evening.

08/06/2026: We just finished our vacation at Hotel La Praia. We had a great time. The service was exceptional. Carlo is helpful and very professional. The room staff is incredibly friendly, and the reception staff is incredibly helpful and kind. A great place, it's a shame that vacations are always short.

01/05/2026: What a stroke of luck! We were standing in front of a closed restaurant on May 1st, hungry and thirsty. Antonio stopped and asked if we wanted something to eat. "Yes, please!" We got into his car and he drove us here!!! To paradise! This is the taste of Calabria! Freshly prepared with so much love by Graziella and served with warm discretion by Ottaviano. 07/06/2026: Terrible experience... gluten free (I entered this place attracted by the sign) it only has low quality and very expensive frozen meatballs. A sandwich shop/cookery should offer much more... the gem is the very expensive discount spritz (for the quality).. to avoid.. classic place for tourists.. but being in the area I definitely won't return... ps I'm responding here to your answer... true the prices are displayed.. but the quality of the meatballs is terrible.. also the spritz is from discount.. the sign of the place talks about aperitifs.. you can't serve a discount spritz.. also I add the most serious thing is that they did not guarantee contamination in the kitchen for celiac disease because when we specifically asked for a gluten-free sandwich we were given this answer... there are 2 cases either there is a sign that is misleading or there is a kitchen that does not comply with the standards for celiac disease. I advise you to be careful because someone could end up in hospital.. having said that, I greet you

05/05/2026: Fantastic stay. The facility is fantastic, large warm pool, sipping your favorite aperitivo while watching the sunset behind Stromboli is a unique experience. Restaurants are all good quality, the breakfast as well with large choice, and our junior we loved our junior suite. As often in Italy, most staff members are local and proud of their land !

07/12/2025: I was there with my family, unfortunately it was all negative. We had 3 grilled fish and a mixed fried fish, the grilled fish was burnt and the fried fish was soft and greasy, the hot house white wine was served in a carafe placed inside the ice bucket and to finish it off, lemon sorbet made up of 3 scoops of ice cream with a little vodka, all this with a truly excessive price both for the place that needs renovating and for the quality of food and service.

17/05/2026: We made a special detour to the ice cream parlor... And it was worth it. Super delicious homemade ice cream... delicious...

15/05/2025: Incredible!!! We've enjoyed an excellent aperitivo here twice now. The reasonable price doesn't reflect the outstanding quality of the authentic food. The ambiance and the very friendly staff made the evening a highlight. Thank you!

11/05/2025: This restaurant is not worth visiting. Food is overpriced and simply not good (served on plastic (!) plates )- same goes for the service - waiters are buzzing around you constantly, talking on their walkie-talkies like they are in a swat team (mind that at the time only 3 tables were taken) making it impossible to enjoy the meal (not that there is much to enjoy). Stay away for your own good.

13/07/2026: Total disappointment with the welcome, no friendliness, but the worst part was that my husband and I were sick for two days, vomiting and other things. We went for breakfast, and the cappuccino wasn't creamy; they made a latte and coffee, and a fried cannoli with cream that I've never had, so it tasted only of sugar, and the pastry seemed to have been fried days before. My husband had a cannoli that was terrible. Definitely disappointing, especially considering the high price. If I had read the reviews beforehand, I wouldn't have suffered or bought medication.

20/07/2026: The atmosphere outside is lovely, with tables in a small courtyard in central Tropea. The quality of the food doesn't match the atmosphere, and table service is a bit slow. We ordered a rare fillet; it was cooked well, but the meat was decidedly tough and stringy, and not worth the price. The fried onions were very good!

04/11/2025: La Piazzetta – Quality Takeout, Too! I stopped by La Piazzetta for a takeout order and was truly satisfied. I ordered three buns and two sides of fries: simply spectacular! The buns were soft, flavorful, and packed with fresh ingredients, while the fries were crispy and delicious, just like freshly fried. Everything was impeccably packaged: still hot and perfect for eating at home. Fast service and friendly staff. A place that demonstrates attention to detail and quality even in takeout—highly recommended! 👌🍔🍟
