30/11/2025: Passing through Macomer, I was curious to try this renowned gelato with three Gambero Rosso cones. Unfortunately, I found it closed at 2:30 PM on Saturday because it didn't reopen until 4:00 PM. I could understand weekdays, but a gelato shop of this renown can't afford to have such hours on weekends, even in late autumn.

04/11/2025: La Piazzetta – Quality Takeout, Too! I stopped by La Piazzetta for a takeout order and was truly satisfied. I ordered three buns and two sides of fries: simply spectacular! The buns were soft, flavorful, and packed with fresh ingredients, while the fries were crispy and delicious, just like freshly fried. Everything was impeccably packaged: still hot and perfect for eating at home. Fast service and friendly staff. A place that demonstrates attention to detail and quality even in takeout—highly recommended! 👌🍔🍟

07/01/2026: Il Melograno farmhouse restaurant and pizzeria: a traditional and welcoming place where you can rediscover the true flavors of home. 🍝❤️ High-quality products and authentic dishes like peppers and potatoes, rice and meat chops, parmigiana, and homemade pasta with authentic flavors. The pizza is also excellent, with a light dough and perfect cooking in a wood-fired oven. A true culinary experience, absolutely worth repeating. Ottaviano and Mrs. Graziella are wonderful people who welcome you not as customers but as family. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

01/04/2026: Exceptional place to relax with friends. Quiet, sea-view room with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available. The seafront bar and restaurant are adjacent to the hotel rooms. The resort is truly huge!! They picked us up every morning from the Lido by car to take us to the breakfast room. Fantastic location!!

18/01/2026: The view is beautiful but very poor service. The woman receptionist and one woman member of the restaurant staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional. It’s clear they do not enjoy working with people. For frequent travelers like us, this was a shocking experience.

25/03/2026: I reviewed this place 7 years ago, but in the meantime, the management has changed. One of these evenings I ordered a pulled pork sandwich; it looked nice, but after just the second bite, I felt like the meat had been forgotten in the sandwich 🙈 In fact, the small amount of meat had been spread on the sandwich! The place was cold, people were eating in their jackets. In the bathroom, the water was stagnant in the sink, making it impossible to wash your hands.

01/04/2026: Stayed here in 2006. We walked all the way to Tropea from the hotel. I'm still traumatised by the big snakes on the road and the thirst and the cars whizzing by.

The beach is really excellent and equipped with all beach services... I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic and family-friendly experience. We were guests of this family-run hotel and I must say it was a truly pleasant experience. The food was very good, with carefully prepared dishes and fresh ingredients. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was impeccable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Really kind, dear friends, I recommend it because you will not be disappointed, on the contrary, you will be satisfied, you will find new rooms, new bathrooms and more, go there friends, to Hotel La Praia, you will eat well and sleep well, see you soon, Hotel La Praia ❤️😁😀😀

07/12/2025: I was there with my family, unfortunately it was all negative. We had 3 grilled fish and a mixed fried fish, the grilled fish was burnt and the fried fish was soft and greasy, the hot house white wine was served in a carafe placed inside the ice bucket and to finish it off, lemon sorbet made up of 3 scoops of ice cream with a little vodka, all this with a truly excessive price both for the place that needs renovating and for the quality of food and service.

19/11/2025: The location is stunning, on the Pizzo marina. You can see the sea, but not the food! It's still worth going. Perfect for a gala evening or a ceremony, celebration, or occasion. Very large, with a spacious interior. Overlooking the sea. Very good!

15/05/2025: Incredible!!! We've enjoyed an excellent aperitivo here twice now. The reasonable price doesn't reflect the outstanding quality of the authentic food. The ambiance and the very friendly staff made the evening a highlight. Thank you!

11/05/2025: This restaurant is not worth visiting. Food is overpriced and simply not good (served on plastic (!) plates )- same goes for the service - waiters are buzzing around you constantly, talking on their walkie-talkies like they are in a swat team (mind that at the time only 3 tables were taken) making it impossible to enjoy the meal (not that there is much to enjoy). Stay away for your own good.

23/10/2025: Our stay was simply impeccable. The property stands out for its elegance, attention to detail, and welcoming atmosphere. A heartfelt thank you to Alessia at the front desk for her courtesy, helpfulness, and professionalism, and to Mimma and Grazia, the housekeeping ladies, for their excellent daily work and the care they take to maintain the perfect environment. The breakfast service was nothing short of exceptional: a wide variety of sweet and savory options, all fresh and of excellent quality, capable of satisfying every taste. A truly pleasant experience, one I highly recommend and will definitely repeat.

28/12/2025: I was there hours ago, poor service, staff (it was just one girl) a bit incompetent. The bathroom was in the kitchen🫣 the pizza arrived raw, we asked if they could push the tables together since we were a group of people and we were told they couldn't. Hygiene 0 the bathroom was in the kitchen and it was dirty, I didn't take photos. High prices for what you get, I don't recommend it.
