The staff is extremely kind and helpful, the food is locally sourced and authentic, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Laura, with her unbiased but spot-on advice on places to visit, made our holiday even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for those seeking a relaxing and authentic stay.

31/08/2025: Welcoming and tasty, if you're tired of the dozens of anonymous pizzerias and restaurants in Diamante and Scalea, this restaurant is for you. Typical Calabrian products and dishes, in a village with a magnificent view. The entire town is a hamlet of steps and narrow streets; don't use GPS to get here. Call the restaurant for parking advice; we went to Piazza XVII Settembre.

30/08/2025: I visited this restaurant serving traditional Calabrian cuisine, and I must say it was a true culinary delight! The food was incredible; every dish we ordered was prepared with care and love for Calabrian tradition. The waiter Francesco recommended the best dishes; his kindness and professionalism were truly appreciated. Excellent value for money. If you love Calabrian cuisine, you can't miss this place.

06/09/2025: We were there three years ago and returned this year. It's a very pleasant little place with a beautiful view of Lake Arvo. The dishes are generous and flavorful, and the ingredients are excellent! The service was quick and courteous. I highly recommend this little gem in Lorica.

12/10/2025: Terrible. We waited over half an hour just to get our order, which they didn't even know how to take... after a two-hour wait, we ate a few appetizers, which were also very salty, and in the end we left without lunch. It was a huge disappointment. Highly not recommended.

12/10/2025: It was supposed to be a Sunday at the end of summer. We chose to go to this restaurant where I had eaten a few years ago and was satisfied. We arrived at 1:30 PM as per our reservation. We sat down, and around 2:00 PM a waiter arrived and we ordered our entire lunch. Around 2:45 PM, we were served our appetizers, with some dishes that hadn't been listed on our order at all. Around 3:30 PM, after several requests, we asked how much longer we had for the entrees and were told at least half an hour. At this point, I asked for the bill and left. I understand that the restaurant was fully booked, but if you can serve 50 people, you also have to have enough staff in the kitchen. You can't just charge people and make them wait 3-4 hours at their table. It was an experience to forget, and I'll never go back. I'd suggest that the owners, since they're on social media, read the reviews every now and then to improve. P.s. Many people were complaining about the long wait times.

25/07/2025: Frequento questa pizzeria da molti anni e ogni volta è una garanzia. Anche durante l’ultima cena in due, con la sala interna quasi al completo e il caldo estivo all’esterno, l’ambiente è rimasto piacevolmente fresco grazie a un’ottima climatizzazione. Le porzioni sono abbondanti: una porzione di patatine dippers è più che sufficiente per due persone. Un dettaglio da non sottovalutare è la generosa quantità di salse, spesso proporzionata al numero di porzioni ordinate in altri locali. Le pizze, come sempre, deliziose: ben condite, cotte alla perfezione nel forno a legna e davvero saporite. Il servizio è stato impeccabile: personale cordiale, attento e rapidissimo, nonostante l’elevato numero di clienti. Tempi d’attesa praticamente nulli. Il conto? Assolutamente onesto: con una dippers, due pizze ben farcite, un’acqua, una Coca Cola (da 33 in vetro) e un caffè abbiamo speso solo 30€. Davvero raro trovare un simile equilibrio tra qualità, quantità e prezzo. Consigliatissima!

29/09/2025: The "Vecchia Guardia" restaurant clearly aspires to a luxury category, but it is light years away from understanding the fundamental needs of its guests. Our dinner experience for four on August 21, 2025, was a complete failure, especially regarding food allergies. Lack of Seriousness about "Gluten Free" We booked specifically because the website guaranteed availability for allergens, including gluten-free. Once seated, the unpleasant surprise: my wife, a celiac, was categorically denied any dish, including a simple slice of grilled meat. The only option was bottled water! This isn't "willingness to accommodate any need," but a clear example of misleading advertising aimed solely at attracting customers. Small Portions and Mediocre Quality The dishes were somewhere between meager and mediocre, with a presentation that was meant to mimic that of a "starred chef," but I'll leave you to imagine... with a quality that was, let's say, mediocre. The small quantity is unacceptable unless supported by an excellence that was totally absent here. The Bill: The Height of Negligence The highlight was the bill. Not only did they add a cover charge to my wife, who, through their negligence, was unable to eat anything, but, even more seriously, they included two dishes that were never served due to a clear oversight in the service. We had to point out the error to the waiter (who crossed out the amounts) and then again to the cashier, where the person in charge had not yet crossed out the missing side dishes, leaving the restaurant at 10:33 PM after the complaint. Disconcerting Service Finally, the service was disconcerting to say the least. The waiters and the lady kept bringing bread and other gluten-containing dishes right in front of my celiac wife. This is a total lack of care and professionalism, especially after being informed of her celiac disease. To describe the experience as "disappointing" is an understatement. It was unacceptable. I hope anyone reading this review will appreciate how carelessly this restaurant handles its promises and the basic needs of its customers.

The value for money was excellent. We absolutely recommend it! If we ever find ourselves here on vacation, we'll be back! Thank you for the quality of the food and your professionalism!

28/03/2025: I would recommend this place if you ever visit Filadelfia. It has tasty ice cream and a very friendly owner. He doesn’t speak English, but you kinda get used to it if you are in Filadelfia a bit longer. The prices were good.
