23/04/2026: We got married at this venue on June 20, 2025. It was a stunning location, and everything was perfectly organized. Highly recommended! The only advice I'd give to the Baia dell'Est organization is not to recommend photographer Melina Saveria.

17/10/2025: Saturday night, reservation at 9pm, after about 10 minutes we sit down, it's Saturday night. The sandwich is average, nothing exceptional, the problem is the guy who does everything: CASH REGISTER, ORDERS, WAITER, CLEANING TABLES🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ so everything is slow and it's crazy confusing.

14/10/2025: Everything was very good, it's hard to find such good flavors in meat, highly recommended.

10/05/2026: We chose this restaurant for our wedding, and we couldn't have made a better choice. Everything was wonderful: from the elegant and welcoming location to the exquisite food, with attention to every detail. The owners are wonderful people. The staff made us feel pampered from start to finish, always with a smile and so much attention to us and our guests. They made our day even more special, providing us with unforgettable experiences. We will always hold this place in our hearts. ❤️

10/05/2026: I tried this restaurant and overall the experience was very pleasant. The appetizers were good and beautifully presented, the risotto was truly tasty, and the scilatelli with mushrooms and sausage were also very flavorful and well-made. The only negative was the meat: the fillet wrapped in lard was a bit too tough for my taste. It would have been much better if it had been softer and more tender. Otherwise, the service was courteous and attentive, and the location was truly beautiful and welcoming. Recommended, especially for the first courses and the atmosphere.

Important note: one of the few affordable places left while maintaining the quality of its offerings, which is no small feat. Nearby, you can also admire a charming niche dedicated to the Blessed Virgin!

08/04/2026: Burnt pizzas, unsalted, flavorless dough, flavorless pitted Saclá olives, mushrooms that smell of bleach, artichokes that taste like water. The mozzarella on the Margherita was charred, one of the worst pizzas I've ever eaten in my life.

09/03/2026: I've never had a worse meal. An endless wait from the door to the end of the meal. A good two hours to get something to eat, and I don't know how to describe it, what adjective to use to describe it all. From the appetizer to the main course, including a first course (fileja with swordfish sauce) with no seasoning and with the sauce remaining the intention of the person in charge of cooking: cold dishes of truly poor quality. Courtesy is not lacking, but you enter the restaurant not only for the manners... I read the other reviews and wonder if they've changed the chef in the meantime, because today's chef, I believe, is his first experience in the kitchen. What I couldn't have known yesterday is that today I had gastrointestinal problems, resulting in diarrhea. Many thanks to the owner.

02/02/2026: December 31, 2025, passing through Tropea. Last dinner of the year, unpretentious, and before midnight. The owner tells us she also brought her dogs to the restaurant so they wouldn't be scared by the fireworks, and we had ours. During dinner, two explosions were very annoying for us, let alone the dogs. I wanted to go out and protest. At the third, we realized it was the owner's fault, and we ran away. Just one piece of advice, Mr. Owner: commit and invest money and time in quality and speed of service, not in scaring customers away.

09/09/2025: Delicious local food, a family-run atmosphere with very friendly staff ready to accommodate every need. Compared to all the exorbitant prices you hear about at Lido Gelsomino, the prices are more than affordable. It will be my vacation spot again next year.

03/05/2026: I've been here many times with my family and relatives for parties. It's the perfect place, but I'm giving it four stars instead of five because the food takes a long time to arrive. But that doesn't matter, probably because the food tastes better that way! We use the excuse of waiting for our food to get to us, and we talk and stay late, which is why it's so nice.

29/03/2026: We ordered two pizzas to go last night. I'd seen the reviews, and they were almost all excellent. Quick service, nothing to complain about. The dough disappointed me; it wasn't fragrant at all, was hard at times, and very salty. The toppings were average. I expected much more, especially since the prices are higher than average.

20/12/2025: There's a discrepancy between what's written on the menu and what's on the plate (poor-quality speck/pancetta). Disappointing value for money.

08/06/2026: Authentic Italian – a delight for every palate! If you're looking for genuine Italian cuisine, this is the place to be! The food was simply outstanding – typically Italian, bursting with flavor, and prepared with great care. Every bite was a winner; we were absolutely thrilled! The staff speaks very little English, but that didn't detract from the evening at all – we communicated with gestures, and the team's warmth and genuine friendliness more than made up for it. Sometimes, that's exactly the proof you're in a truly authentic restaurant! What particularly surprised us: the value for money is absolutely fantastic! For the quality and quantity of food, you really pay very little – restaurants like this are rare these days. If you're looking for an authentic taste of Italy without breaking the bank – this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back!
