21/01/2025: Un gioiello da scoprire. Una traversa della strada detta SS18 detta "variante" che attraversa Scalea in pieno centro (tradotto..comodo sia di passaggio sia che ci si trovi in zona al mare). Personale confidenziale (quasi venerabile timidezza), decidi dove sederti in un clima rustico ma con dettagli da non sottovalutare (pareti con molti quadri di opere di Bansky: uao siamo a Milano?). Ma andiamo al sodo: ho preso il burgher classico ed era davvero buono e ben fatto, il pane era davvero buono e fragrante. Vasta scelta di birra. A seguire ho voluto strafare e successivamente ordinato le patate arrosto con buccia (finalmente...un posto dove puoi decidere di ordinarle dopo aver finito il panino così le mangi appena sfornate). Il tutto sempre con bustine di cuckup e maionese (ma non servivano), ma soprattutto comodamente seduti davanti ad una maxi TV che trasmette la partita di Sky. Nessuno che vine a rompere chiedendo se vuoi altro ecc. Riassumendo, abbiamo scelto i posti, il cibo come e quando, le birre come e quando. Una serata di relax.

17/02/2025: The pastry department pleasantly surprised me: there is a nice choice and I found everything I got good. However, I didn't particularly like the place: the rest area for the pastry shop is very small and I had the impression that the staff doesn't have enough space to pack the various trays, which slows down the time it takes to be served a bit. Despite these details I recommend it; As soon as possible I will try the puff pastries, which were highly recommended to me

28/03/2025: we come from Erasmus and our group was warmly welcomed, you can see the commitment and heart put into this place, and the pizza is the best in the whole area, the staff is always smiling and hospitable, they greet everyone with a smile on their lips and passion, I recommend this place to everyone ☺️

13/04/2025: Abbiamo chiesto 2 tagliate di picanha con cottura media accompagnato da patate al forno, la cameriera mi ha detto che non poteva farla media ma solo al sangue, dopo più di 30 minuti è arrivato il tutto completamente freddo chiediamo di rifarla, dopo altri 10 minuti è tornato tutto indietro senza sapere quale delle 2 era la mia figurate che hanno messo tutto in forno con tutto il piatto. Morale della favola? Da chiesta cottura media portata al sangue dopo riscaldata era completamente bruciata. Forse era meglio fredda 😂

Cura nella scelte delle materie prime, pomodoro e mozzarella super sulla pizza, ( ho preso una semplice margherita , ma i miei accompagnatori hanno consumato pizze diverse e farcite e la qualità ha superato le nostre aspettative) impasto leggero e ben lievitato, menù variegato con ampia scelta di piatto e di bevuta. qualità nel servizio competente e cordiale. Locale top, nonostante i cambiamenti non ha snaturato la sua identità . Locale consigliato .

Added value is the continuous opening hours, even after 2:30 pm at the counter there is a good choice. 28/02/2025: We had a visit to Pizzo and found this fish restaurant by the sea. Low season so not many customers but the food was fantastic. Very well presented food with lots of flavour. Lovely selection of fish on the antipasti and the grilled fish selection was amazing… so filling as so much variety with great portions. If you like fish then you can’t go wrong visiting La Ruota!

25/01/2025: Ho scoperto Brasserie 3.14 quasi per caso, e posso dire che è stata una delle migliori esperienze culinarie degli ultimi tempi! La qualità della carne è semplicemente eccellente. Ho avuto il piacere di assaggiare una scottona polacca frollata per circa 60 giorni: un’esplosione di gusto indescrivibile, tenerissima e saporita, davvero la fine del mondo. Il personale è stato estremamente gentile e disponibile, sempre pronto a soddisfare ogni esigenza con un sorriso. Il proprietario, poi, è una persona simpaticissima e accogliente, ti fa sentire subito a casa. L’atmosfera è perfetta, ideale per una serata in compagnia. Non vedo l’ora di tornarci per provare altre prelibatezze! Super consigliato!
