10/06/2025: The restaurant is located in front of the port of Catanzaro, not too characteristic considering the area seems more for conventions. In itself elegant and chic the restaurant also maintains a fairly high style in the dishes. We are a group, some take the raw fish, some take the octopus, some take the tuna steak, the cooked appetizer. The fish is fresh, beautiful to look at, good to taste. The parsley potatoes for their apparent simplicity are exquisite. With wine, some fruit and coffee we spend about €40 per person, average prices. Service a bit slow, but the guys are polite and courteous.

20/09/2025: Everything was top notch! I'm giving it 4 stars only because some of the young waitresses were a bit rude, the prices are very high, and they were reluctant to offer bitter coffees or grappas at the end of the meal.

01/09/2025: My partner and I are more than passionate about ice cream. We have tried the best, from the north to the south of this land, even in the most remote areas. Without a doubt, Paradise ice cream is ranked first among the best ice creams in Calabria. There are many reasons to make this choice. The flavors aren't very many. Don't expect to find Kinder Bueno and by-products, which now only taste of sugar, and you can no longer distinguish chocolate from hazelnut. Instead, you will find traditional flavors: exceptional pistachio, chocolate, with an even creamier, nuttier recipe, a mega-delicious black cherry variegated chocolate, coffee, or dark chocolate with an excellent structure, and some new flavors that always draw on the products of the southern lands, or citron, strawberry made with fresh fruit. Add to all this, a fair quality-price ratio, the courtesy of the owners, and last but not least, impeccable cleanliness. It has now become my regular stop, but I would also travel 50 km on the pretext of taking a walk along the Paola seafront, visiting the sanctuary and go and enjoy a "paradisiacal" ice cream

22/09/2025: I spent 5 days in September in a deluxe room. The resort is beautifully situated in the mountains with a stunning view of the sea. The entire complex is very well-maintained, the pool is clean, the rooms are attractively furnished, and the beds are comfortable. Unfortunately, room service wasn't particularly professional; the trash cans in the bathroom and room weren't emptied for 3 days, and I waited 2 days for a dead lizard to be removed from the small terrace right outside my room door. Breakfast wasn't exceptional, but it was okay, and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately, the hard metal chairs throughout the resort have no cushions, whether in the restaurant, breakfast area, or on the private terrace! Is that what you call country chic? When I arrived, the restaurant only offered a mediocre pizza, no salad, and no dessert. The menu for the remaining days seemed suspiciously ambitious (pasta with oysters, etc.), so I preferred to eat out at a family-run, typical Calabrian fish restaurant, which was rather simple but received excellent reviews, and rightly so! Reviews from other guests at the Borgo Rosso di Sera restaurant confirmed my suspicion that the food didn't really live up to the high standards set out on the menu.... The biggest annoyance at this resort came over the weekend (Friday and Saturday), when, in addition to the fully booked restaurant on the terrace, two large private parties were held on the premises—more precisely, right in front of the hotel guests' rooms. More than 100 guests attended, the property was filled with loud music until midnight, and then the hotel was noisily cleaned up until 2 a.m. As an overnight guest, you couldn't use your own terrace for two consecutive days—no privacy at all!—nor open windows and shutters, let alone sleep peacefully! I found this behavior a gross disregard for the hotel guests and completely unacceptable! There was neither advance warning nor an apology from the manager afterwards. I gather from the reviews of previous guests who complained about the same incidents that this behavior is quite common practice at this hotel. The owner of this resort should decide whether they want to offer accommodation or rather an event venue! Under its current management, Borgo Rosso di Sera is definitely not suitable for a quiet, relaxing holiday! What a shame!

27/08/2025: In the countryside, just steps from the sea, excellent service and hospitality. A must-try overnight stay. Ideal for small to medium-sized ceremonies. Good-quality food prepared with quality ingredients.

29/06/2025: Ci siamo fermati per pranzo, eravamo di passaggio. L’oste ci ha accolti in maniera davvero gradevole, il cibo è ottimo, vario e tipico dell zona. Molti prodotti sono a km 0. Tipica osteria, ormai se ne vedono poche così. Da rifare sicuramente

22/06/2025: Piacevole esperienza,ci siamo trovati a Tarsia per visitare il paese di mio nonno,e per il pranzo ci siamo fermati in questa osteria .Subito ci ha accolti una signora molto gentile che ci ha fatto accomodare al tavolo.Il menù era fisso e devo dire che si è mangiato molto bene dall' antipasto al dolce .Il primo piatto maccheroni al sugo con salsiccia ( pasta tipica fatta a mano) a seguire carne ai ferri .Posto consigliatissimo per la cucina ( Prezzo veramente basso ) e la pulizia degli ambienti . Mi sento di ringraziare il titolare e la madre perché mi hanno fatto sentire di appartenere a quei luoghi .Saluti D.B.

The mushroom tasting was superb, all the dishes were delicious. The place is truly well-kept and the atmosphere is extremely welcoming. A truly excellent experience, which I recommend to everyone.
