22/10/2025: Disappointing experience. Unfortunately, my stay at Agriturismo Il Borgo sul Lago was very disappointing. The pool was dirty and poorly maintained, the mosquito nets were broken, and the air conditioning filters were completely dusty. Overall, the entire property lacked maintenance: old furnishings, poorly maintained spaces, and poor housekeeping. I also found animals in the rooms, which gave me a strong sense of neglect. The location and potential of the place are good, but it needs more careful and professional management: as it is, I would not recommend it.

23/09/2025: My experience was, unfortunately, terrible. Room cleaning was nonexistent: hygiene didn't seem to be a priority at all. I found hair stuck to the shower stall, yellowed fixtures, limescale buildup, and obvious mold. Comfort was zero. The mattress absolutely needed replacing: visibly decades old, stained, and completely sagging. It was impossible to even think of sleeping on it without wondering how much bacteria it might contain. Furthermore, the bed frame itself was literally collapsing: unstable and tilted to one side. Security also left much to be desired. The electrical outlets were exposed, unprotected: a moment could be enough to risk an electric shock. Finally, breakfast was truly poor and of questionable quality, with products that seemed substandard. In short, one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. It's absolutely not worth the money and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

02/09/2025: We weren't at the Gran Hotel, but we can confidently say that this hotel provided us with a delightful stay: The staff at this hotel is simply sublime. We publicly thank all the staff at this tourist facility, starting with those at the front desk, who are always attentive to guests' needs. A particularly warm tribute goes to Cristina for her priceless courtesy, without forgetting the talented room service staff and the delightful Giada and Francesca, who, despite the early morning rush of infamous guests, transform the breakfast corner into a relaxing and delightful start to the day. 👏👏👏👏🙏 . We will definitely be back.

02/09/2025: I recently stayed at this hotel with my friends due to an unexpected event during a vacation, and I must say we were all very satisfied. We booked a room for three people and paid relatively little considering we stayed there on September 1st (€75 total, including breakfast, which is very good considering the hotel is located near the train station and not too far from the airport). The breakfast was simple but very good, the staff was polite and friendly, and the room was clean and tidy. There are also a number of shops nearby, including Chinese restaurants, a grocery store, bars, and a tobacconist. Highly recommended.

22/11/2025: I hate to say it, but I'm Neapolitan. I ate a pizza Lucicefero thinking it would be spicy, but besides not being spicy, the pizza leaves a lot to be desired. A place called Napul'e that claims to serve Neapolitan cuisine is a far cry.

16/11/2025: Simply the best restaurant on the Ionian coast near Cosenza. Super fresh fish, refined and generous dishes, exceptional execution, and a professional and friendly staff. The best!

10/09/2025: Excellent bar, I go there every day, the best value for money

11/05/2025: Saturday morning we decide to go for breakfast on the Corso and we sit in this bar. The waitress comes to take the order and quickly returns with what was ordered. We immediately noticed that the croissants and drinks we requested were not served on individual plates, but placed on a single tray, so much so that we had to request them. And from a bar located on the Corso it is not acceptable. As for the drinks, they brought us the glass without a saucer and full of limescale. We had to pour the drink ourselves from the bottle. The croissant looked like the frozen ones bought at the supermarket. I'm sorry, but there are many aspects to improve.

26/08/2025: The pizzas are excellent, although we ordered a carbonara that could be improved due to the use of pancetta instead of guanciale, and the cheese wasn't pure pecorino. I highly recommend it as a pizzeria. The service is moderately fast, but the atmosphere needs updating, although it's fairly clean.

03/11/2025: A necessary premise: - I've stayed four times over the years, the last one on the weekend of November 1-2, and three more in recent years, with my Lecce Motorcycle Club, friends, and my girlfriend, this time with my girlfriend, a couple of friends, and a daughter; - This review applies to four people, so it's four reviews in one; - Calabria region, Lake Ampollino area, Villaggio Palumbo, and the Ice Rink, simply my heart! Having said this, I'd like to add that Alessandro and Claudio are extraordinary people, excellent entrepreneurs—workers like few I've met, extremely kind, helpful, and capable both as entrepreneurs and as workers, truly exemplary. We've ALWAYS had a wonderful stay and even better dinners: authentic Calabrian cuisine and authentic wood-fired pizza. The family cares deeply about the local area, the authentic and profound Sila identity, and they demonstrate it from dawn to dusk, they never stop! This time they've outdone themselves: the accommodation (a cabin, previously known) is a truly intimate and welcoming gem, the restaurant, as always, offers unique flavors, and the Sila products, both home-grown and locally produced, are as surprising as they are. The warmth of the facility blends with the quality of the 'GUSTO SILA' products. This was the pleasant discovery of this last visit. A REAL amaro made ONLY with local herbs, with no sugar... wonderful, and the best part? The bottle for sale, a must-buy. Congratulations, guys! Your management is serious and exemplary, you bring wealth to the region and beyond. You are a point of reference for thousands of Apulians and Salento residents who now know you, and for half of Italy. And then... wonderful excursions on quads and horses, a shop where you can buy excellent products, both their own and local... there's so much more to say! Everyone was very satisfied, even the little one! See you next time.

06/09/2025: We had cocktails: very low-quality liquor and bad flavor. Undrinkable. As a reward, they offered us a coffee, which we declined. No, don't order cocktails here. And don't even order the platter they offer with them: everything was straight from the freezer. Terrible.

30/08/2025: We discovered this restaurant and pizzeria by chance and it was fantastic, great prices, delicious pizza, it felt like being in Naples, literally on the beach with a spectacular sea view, super friendly staff, minimal wait time for 7 pizzas (we waited about 15 minutes), impeccable cleanliness even in terms of service, needless to say we returned and will definitely return next summer because they are worth it. I recommend the "La Sila" pizza with Calabrian nduja to those who like spicy food; trust me, you will not be disappointed. For those who like delicate flavors and fish, I recommend the zucchini and shrimp one because the arugula and salmon one was too creamy but still delicious. Everything fresh. Everything excellent. These are the places worth spending money on and I hope you continue to work in this impeccable manner. Well done.

30/08/2025: We had dinner at this quaint place and, of course, ordered the house appetizer for six people, hoping they'd bring us all typical Calabrian dishes. They brought us five measly dishes for €12 per person, which was very disappointing. Peppers and potatoes (more potatoes than peppers), amberjack with cherry tomatoes, anchovies, and stuffed peppers, green beans and potatoes (which I eat when I'm on a diet), if this is typical, I'm holding my hands up. To recap, €72 for six people.

15/11/2025: A lovely place inside the Due Mari shopping center: welcoming and very helpful staff, especially Francesca, who took the time to explain the differences between the various types of meat and their cooking methods and gave us the best advice. Very good appetizers and excellent meats...we'll be back soon.

06/09/2025: I stayed at this hotel for two nights and I have to say the cleanliness of the rooms is excellent. The only flaw, if any, would be that there's not even a tiny piece of soap in the room, so no shower gel or shampoo. For a 3-star hotel and the price they charge, this seems like a serious shortcoming. Furthermore, there's the significant disturbance to guests' sleep, both in the evening and early in the morning due to the closing of the metal shutters and the noise made by the staff tidying up the dining room below the bedrooms. Finally, the quality of the breakfast, which consists of just one croissant per person and a hot or cold drink, so don't expect bread, cakes, butter, jams, toast, cold cuts, or cheese...nothing at all.
