We went to the inn a little late, late enough that the other customers had left.... But despite everything we were welcomed with courtesy and kindness. We opted for appetizers and a pizza round, as recommended by the beautiful and good girl who served us, with dedication and professionalism. Well, what can I say about the appetizers, first of all they weren't all that "initial". Many dishes of excellent workmanship and authentic flavors from Calabria, with particular attention paid to "the queen, the Tropea onion". The only discordant note was the rice salad 🍚 which for goodness sake I ate but I don't find it native or typical of Calabrian cuisine, a bit like the ugly duckling of dishes (even if the ugly duckling transforms into a splendid swan, the salad mostly left on the plate didn't take on any other shapes........ What is different for beans and onions, which well yes, bless, have taken on other physiological shapes. On pizzas, for goodness sake not bad, but we come from Potenza, where it is almost impossible to eat a pizza third rate..... Well we are not objective about pizza because we are used to the top. Very honest prices considering the quality and quantity of the food, and also a really good wine from the really nice people who run the inn. If I can make some small suggestions, I would remove those plastic tables and chairs, which are more suitable for a picnic with friends in the woods than at the Locandadel Monaco, and I would use wooden tables and benches to sit on, which would go well with the natural context. where the place is located, furthermore in the name there is a reference to the "Monaco", a person who took a vow of poverty, therefore with poor elements the place would be enriched and improved without spending much. I would also remove those gazebos, now worn out by time and bad weather... Well if it is not possible to remove them at the moment, it wouldn't be wrong to give them a good wash, to prevent any cobwebs from falling onto the plate. Don't underestimate the large car park, as I said before we arrived late and we would have had no problems parking, but it is certainly a useful element for making an evaluation on the choice of a place...... There is so much parking that I will recommend it to a dear camper friend of ours, in fact he would have no problems parking his caravan there. It was nice to make a stop on our trip at the Locanda del Monaco

Excellent restaurant, low prices and excellent food which is now rare in Italy!!! The appetizer is certainly one of the best dishes, I recommend everyone to take that one, even if the pizza and everything else are exceptional!!

High quality food and well made pizzas (not burnt as they do in most pizzerias), excellent service just like the staff, the waiters never left anything missing on the table despite the large number of customers. If you want to spend an evening with your family this could be an ideal place. Evening to the rhythm of music, and the singer is very good and knows how to involve all the customers. There is certainly no shortage of fun.
