31/05/2026: I had ordered a veal cutlet with arugula and parmesan, but when it arrived, it was something completely different from what I ordered. I had received a pork rib, without arugula or parmesan, and that slice of meat could have weighed a maximum of 150g, or 200g with the bone. Let's not even talk about the pizza because it was oval. Literally, the pizza was very good, and we can't call it a round pizza, but a very oval pizza. I had ordered a cutlet, and what I received was a cutlet, not like the ones they make at regular restaurants or trattorias. It came with a cutlet that we find in supermarkets, but let's say the flavor was a bit on the low side. We can't say it was bad because it was, let's say, good. Let's get back to the meat: the meat was very, very tender, and a bit juicy. I had also asked for regular potatoes on the plate with the cutlet, and chips with the skin on the plate with the meat. Except they did the opposite: they served me the potatoes with their skins on with the cutlet and the regular potatoes with the meat. I can't say I paid cheaply because I know that slice of meat cost me a kidney. Let's not exaggerate like that, but I don't know how to define the price. I apologize to the employees who work there, the chef, and the manager, but I want to give you a personal comment because I've seen many reviews, and they were positive, but mine isn't negative. I just want to share my experience at this restaurant. I will return, yes. But next time I'll just order a few different things.

16/09/2025: I've been from Catanzaro since I was born, and since I love the sea so much, I should know every place, but I assure you, that's not the case 🤣🤣🤣. I discovered this place purely by chance, and among the many beaches lined up, my "snack buddy" Nilde asked me which one inspires you? And I replied: "This one, definitely this one, because it has these elegant umbrellas, this tidy beach, and then I don't know, but this spot inspires me 🤣🤣." And so it was, 9 days of pure relaxation, thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend it, also for the kindness of Maria, her sister, and everyone else who helped make these days of vacation truly unforgettable. 07/09/2025: Very beautiful beach, well-maintained lido, excellent restaurant. Everyone is very kind and friendly, except for the guy (maybe the son?) who accompanies you to your umbrella. Prices are medium to high, but from my experience, it seems like even in Calabria they're overdoing it, thus hindering tourism growth.

21/09/2025: High-quality food, a wide selection, and great flavor! Comfortable atmosphere, wonderful outdoor tables overlooking the sea. The garden is beautiful. The presentation is beautiful, and the flavor is also evident! The only downside is the somewhat slow service.

22/08/2025: A truly attractive location; eating overlooking the sea is always a wonderful experience. The dishes are traditional and well-prepared, and the spaghetti with anchovies are delicious. The road signs could be improved.

28/06/2026: Total rip-off and lack of transparency. We had breakfast included with our stay, but nobody warned us that by ordering an iced coffee we would lose our right to a croissant. They only served us coffee, and when my husband went to buy something extra, they charged us 12 euros for 4 tiny cannoli and added another 3 euros for service (coperto)! Highly unfair and overpriced. Avoid this place.

30/09/2025: As a location, it's not bad: you're right by the sea, and there are games for children. As for the food, the pizzas are good, but the first courses, at least in our case, were disappointing. The service is slow, but the staff is friendly. I recommend it for pizza, especially on Saturdays, as there's often a wonderful singing voice.

27/08/2025: ⸻ Disappointing: high-end restaurant prices but osteria-quality food I recently visited Locanda degli Antichi Sapori in Filadelfia, and unfortunately, I have to describe the experience as extremely negative. The place advertises itself as a high-end restaurant, but in reality, it turns out to be a simple osteria without the quality to justify the exorbitant prices. We ate outside, at tables positioned directly on the street, and even on a slope, with no provision for comfortable seating: an unacceptable detail for someone who charges like a high-end restaurant. The appetizers were the most disappointing: €16 for a dish made up of clearly supermarket-quality products, without any special preparation. The presentation was embarrassing, and the portions were meager. In short: nonexistent value for money, and the food offered was completely inadequate for the image the place wants to project. An experience not to be repeated, and not recommended to anyone seeking a modicum of consistency between price, service, and food quality.

18/08/2025: Tried this small and perhaps unique restaurant in Philadelphia for the first time. Cute and welcoming... The menu is short but carefully chosen, especially the first courses... Generous and delicious... Scialatielli with porcini mushrooms and pancetta, and Filejia with tomato, soppressata, and eggplant. 🔝 Recommended!

07/08/2026: We returned after two years today, 2026, and the beach was clean and quiet, the umbrella cost €20, the staff were kind and welcoming, but the food prices have gone up a lot. We had spaghetti with mussels and clams, but the small plate cost €15, which was spaghetti with garlic and oil, mussels and clams, and fried calamari for a whopping €16, and a cover charge of €2 per person. And you can't charge €4 per person for a sorbet, absurd... In Puglia, we pay €4 for Pizzo Calabro ice cream... Come on, that's indecent... 👎

19/06/2026: Disappointing fried food at high prices The place is very nice, and the waiters were friendly. The only real positive is the sea view, which is stunning and worth it. The downside, however, was the food: for the decidedly high prices, serving a mixed fried fish dish that was obviously frozen is unacceptable. You'd expect much more from a restaurant like this. I wouldn't recommend it for fish.

20/08/2025: I had the opportunity to try the sandwich at The Burger Bros at the Scalea amusement park, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional: the meat was fantastic, the cheddar was real cheese sliced ​​on the spot, and the bacon was high-quality, not the usual processed product. The owner and his wife were extremely kind and made sure we were satisfied. I will definitely be back; it's undoubtedly the best sandwich in Scalea.

20/08/2025: I had to wait an hour for a damn lower than average burger. Even Mcdonald's can do better than that.

08/12/2025: We ate well, all seafood-based, the stew was excellent, I found a splinter of the shell in the peppered mussels, the price of 36 euros per person for an appetizer, first course, and second course was very good, it's a shame you can't choose à la carte; if you want just a second course or a first course you pay the same amount, the staff were friendly, the bathrooms were very large, and the nice thing was, there were fresh flowers. It's a shame there isn't a very visible sign outside.

26/10/2025: This restaurant is a bit unremarkable, both in terms of location and menu. It offers seafood dishes with a €29 fixed-price menu featuring a choice of three from nine options. The dishes are well-prepared, but there's no hint of traditional ingredients, and the menu is a bit out of place.

23/09/2025: We had dinner two days ago while we were in Cerchiara for the spa. What can I say? The owner was very friendly and helpful, he fulfilled all our requests. The local food was very good, from the appetizer to the main course. We were truly satisfied. I recommend it if you are in the area. :)
