The restaurant's aesthetic is simply delightful: wood, stone, and soft lighting create a rustic yet extremely refined atmosphere. It's the place you want to retreat to after a day spent among the peaks, where every detail of the decor seems to tell a story. Excellent service The real added value is the staff. It's rare to be welcomed with such a combination of kindness and expertise. You can sense their meticulous care for the guest, never intrusive but always present. They expertly advised us, making us feel like the stars of the evening. In particular, a young man named Vincenzo, who goes by Donato...He was extremely knowledgeable about every dish. It's as if he looks you in the face and knows what you want to eat. Gastronomic Experience Dishes that are like an embrace: the freshest local ingredients transformed into recipes that taste like home. Every bite confirms the passion they put into cooking. 08/02/2026: One should avoid cream tarts on Sundays. They tasted sour, not fresh. If you're selling defrosted pastries or leftovers from the day before, you should inform the customer. What a shame! Unfortunately, this isn't the first time it's happened.

All the children's special requests were handled with ease, and everyone was very friendly – ​​even though they were extremely busy because it was really crowded.

However, after consulting the price list/menu, they brought us "omelets" that had very little to do with eggs, but rather a very sweet, almost unsavory pastry disc. 05/03/2026: We were at the church for a funeral when my daughter suddenly had to use the restroom urgently. Unfortunately, the public restroom was out of order, and the two other bars nearby were closed. So we quickly went into this bar, and I immediately gave the waitress €4 and politely asked if my daughter could use the restroom for a moment. The waitress said I had to ask the manager first. So I went to the manager, handed him the €4 as well, and explained the situation. His reply was very curt: No, we should use the public restroom. I explained again that it was out of order and that we didn't want to drink anything because we were at the church for a funeral—and that I was happy to give him the €4 (which is actually more than a glass of mineral water would cost). His only response was: "Well, then you'll have to do without it." I was so ashamed of myself, especially in these times, to treat people like that, especially in such a situation!! I hope Stefan, you never find yourself in a situation like that again!

16/10/2025: We had a buckwheat cake that was very moist and flavorful. The apple strudel made with shortcrust pastry was good, but could have used a bit more apple (in my opinion). The coffee was good. The service was friendly and quick. There's nice seating outside, as well as inside.

14/10/2025: Lovely terrace in the heart of Algund. Friendly service. Sun and shade. Restrooms available. Small parking lot around the corner. Bike stand right outside.

23/05/2026: I was absolutely thrilled! The cake and cappuccino were incredibly delicious, the service was top-notch, and the location in Kaltern is simply unbeatable. A very special shout-out goes to the waitress. I felt instantly welcome. If I'm ever in Kaltern again, I'll definitely visit the Laubencafé again. ♡ PS: Even the ice cream tastes amazing... and (shhh)... worlds better than the hyped-up ice cream across the street, which unfortunately turned out to be a disappointment in my opinion!
