The food was incredibly delicious, especially the ribs. 😌
21/09/2025: Nice restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. Lamb chops and tagliata of black Angus were not delicious. Afogato was more than perfect as well. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food.

03/10/2025: This was our first time staying at a hotel with half board.
We will definitely be back. We even extended our stay spontaneously.
The welcome upon arrival was truly warm, and the entire stay felt very familiar.
The service at breakfast and dinner (5 courses as standard) was unbeatable. Always very warm, friendly, and extremely attentive.
The quality of the food was exceptionally high, always using local products.
Unfortunately, the hotel only has 3 stars, but in my opinion, it deserves a fourth.
The wellness area and the entire spa offering, including massages for every treatment, are also incredibly positive. Simply a wonderful atmosphere throughout the entire hotel.
And I would also like to express my sincere appreciation for the decor throughout the hotel, with so many loving details.
I would also like to extend a huge compliment to the entire staff. Stay the way you are.
26/09/2025: A quiet 3-star hotel with a magnificent view and good food. The bathroom and our room were a bit dated, and the beds creaked—but the mattresses were good! A large balcony invites you to relax.
The indoor pool and whirlpool are clean and at a comfortable temperature. The wellness package we booked at the AlpenSpa was fantastic.

20/06/2025: Too expensive. The ham and cheese platter, especially for €25, is way too expensive, IMHO. Drinks are also at least €1.50 more than usual. The quality is good.
18/04/2025: Such a nice landlady in an absolute dream location in the beautiful city of Bolzano! The wine recommendations are great! Very relaxed landlady with passion for the needs of her customers!

03/10/2025: We got lost in the middle of Route 526 (a loop trail of Sassolungo group mountains), and managed to get to the Hut at about 7:30 pm after struggle. The sky was already dark and the weather was cold then. We were exhausted (after almost 8 hours of walk) without much water left to make the way back to Passo Sella carpark. Upon arriving the entrance of the Hut (already closed for business), we saw someone came out of the Hut and we almost screamed for some assistance. We were grateful we were allowed to get in the Hut and to make use of washroom and the staff also filled up our water bottle. They pointed us the right path to the car park and assured that it was a relatively flat path which took just about 30 mins of walk. Finally we took the path in complete darkness only with the iphone light torch😅 We were really grateful for the help of the Hut staff👍👍

The refuge is certainly well-maintained and maintained.
In September, however, it remains in the shade in the afternoon.
The 5-star view of the Sella massif is unparalleled.

10/08/2025: Bellissimo giardino con tavoli all’aperto. Buon cibo. Convivialità. Personale gentile e attento. Canederli in brodo buoni ma non eccezionali. Il brodo un po’ sciapo. Grigliata per 2 buona e abbondante. Birra di buona qualità. Abbiamo preso 3 birre, grigliata, pretzel e canederli in brodo, speso circa 60€.
04/08/2025: nachdem wir nun schon über 35 Jahre im Pfefferlechner einkehren, wir kennen noch alles vor dem Umbau, sagt dies alles, wie zufrieden wir hier sind. Als deutscher Braumeister noch ein großes Lob für die guten Bierspezialitäten. Macht weiter so. Bis bald.

Die Speisen sind saisonal, frisch und kreativ zubereitet, mit Zutaten aus dem hauseigenen Garten verfeinert. Einfach fantastisch! Sommelier Michael hat uns bei der Auswahl der passenden Weine die richtigen Tipps gegeben. Die persönliche Atmosphäre kreiert von sehr, sehr netten, aufmerksamen und kinderfreundlichen Gastgebern macht den Aufenthalt unvergesslich. Wir freuen uns aufs nächste Mal!
21/04/2025: Sehr gutes Essen, feine und beste Küche auf hohem Niveau. Alles war ausgezeichnet. Service geht nicht besser. Die eigenen Weine sind sehr gut, insbesondere der Pinot Noir und der „Strahler“. Wir kommen gerne wieder. PS: Der Sommelier Michael hat eine sehr hohe Weinkompetenz. Tolle Weinkarte!

09/09/2025: We went here on the recommendation of our hotel (who had given us a top tip the day before: Sal Fëur 👌)… new owner for a year – WHAT A MISTAKE!!
Wretched kitchen, how hard can it be to make Zwiebelrostbraten… worst quality meat ever – too bizarre! My red tuna (€32 without a side) was okay, but the recommended side dishes: Bratkartoffelen (€7) and grilled vegetables (€10), which tasted like they were reheated from a week ago, were served on the same dreary white flatbreads from the 70s. Because they didn't have Prosecco and we thought "champagne" at €12-15 a glass was a bit much, we ordered a Pinot Grigio, which looked like a rosé and tasted like vinegar, and a Lagrein that tasted "dusty." And with those pretenses, they served the food on a broken plate. I ate with my coat on because I thought it was cold. The lady at the table next to us couldn't finish her pizza either and gave up after a third. The table next to us were also constantly chipping away at their pizza. Well, we were screaming outside after 45 minutes. 😝 Never again, and I'd like to spare everyone this mistake!

The steak was so tender. Delicious with grilled vegetables. The pasta was also delicious. Definitely worth coming back for. 😁
