02/08/2025: Nelli is much more than just a tobacconist: it's a go-to place, especially for those looking for a reliable, welcoming place that's always open when everything else is closed. I've been there several times, but the experience that deserves a special mention is the late-night breakfast, a real treat for those who experience the city outside of normal hours.
30/07/2025: A popular meeting place for many Lucca residents before heading out of town or for breakfast on their way home. The staff are friendly and the place is clean, with a lovely veranda inside. It's also a great place for a quiet drink, as the noise level is low.

17/08/2025: Even though I was visibly pregnant, with a now obvious belly, I wasn't given any priority despite the long line. In a restaurant that welcomes the public, I would have expected more sensitivity and respect towards pregnant women. Small gestures of courtesy make a big difference, especially in these situations. A real shame. I won't be returning. I hope the owner reads this and can raise awareness among his staff.
05/08/2025: Excellent pastry shop. I came here for breakfast this morning after years; my grandmother always took me there when I was little. I found the same kindness as before, after all these years, and having breakfast there again brought back so many fond memories. Thank you, I'll be back.
Highly recommended.

11/08/2025: I just went to this bar. I just arrived in Viareggio, and I'm on vacation.
I found the lady at the bar (I don't know if she's the owner or the bartender) very rude, yelling at me that I should turn off the light in the bathroom.
She should be more polite and kind to customers.
09/08/2025: Good pastries, Americano, and cappuccino. Friendly service and the atmosphere of a traditional, non-touristy café. A pleasant atmosphere.

14/07/2025: Bad. The restaurant was empty, but we had to sit outside in the rain if we wanted to eat. We finally ordered, and the burgers were inedible; the pizza dough was very floury.
13/07/2025: The burger is delicious, but I recommend adding pre-ordered fries to go with the burger. And since there are two choices of meat, you should let the customer know that if you choose less meat, the burger will be smaller.

26/07/2025: Cibo nella media, come tante trattorie nei dintorni, ma sicuramente in maleducazione ed antipatia questo posto vince il primo posto.
Eravamo in tre di cui una bambina di 3 anni che non ha letteralmente toccato cibo ma alla richiesta di portare via la palla al pomodoro ancora intonsa ci è stato risposto “il proprietario non vuole che si porti via nulla, se si vuole si mangia qua”.
Mai più.
17/07/2025: Qualità prezzo inaccettabile. Ambiente poco curato, servizio normale, antipasti normali, Fiorentina di bassissima qualità e cucinata in malo modo.
Antipasti e Fiorentina per tre persone, 2 caffè acqua € 200 vino a parte.

29/07/2025: Dopo molto tempo che noto questa trattoria decido finalmente di prenotare e provare questa esperienza, direi che trovo personale molto gentile e mi dico “partiamo bene “ ma purtroppo sul cibo siamo rimasti molto delusi tra il fritto, la grigliata di pesce e il cacciucco non salverei niente.. piatti banali e nemmeno di gran gusto, non tocco il merito della qualità perché è soggettiva ma la ns esperienza non è stata positiva
Non lo consiglierei

It's a shame because the coffee is good.

Ho chiesto un piccolo tagliere e direi che a differenza di altri luoghi dove non ti danno neanche 2 patatine quel "piccolo" " tagliere era veramente ottimo.

18/07/2025: A charming outdoor venue with original furnishings and a Lemon Bar at very reasonable prices.
13/07/2025: We'd been there years ago, a cozy open-air lounge bar, so we cycled back again. We checked Google and thought it was open, but unfortunately, it was closed. Such a shame. It was a nice bike ride, though, with a lovely bike path.

20/07/2025: We came upon this cafe when coming down from the walls at Santa Maria gate. We sat inside as it was air conditioned. My husband had a slice of pizza, which had plenty of topping on it and I had a sfoglia crema which was delicious. We both had a bottle of water and felt it was really good value at less than €7, especially as we had paid €7 for 2 coffees by the cathedral earlier!
24/06/2025: È stato veramente vergognoso, io faccio questo lavoro, di barista, da molti anni....ma mai mi sarei sognata di dover pagare un succo di pompelmo versato da un cartone del supermercato,per giunta a fine,euro 3,50 .

The person who is always at the counter/cash register often lacks attention.
Every time I go he gets lost in chatter with other people, leaving aside the customer who is waiting at the counter to have his piece or to pay.

25/06/2025: We celebrated a birthday for a friend, the room was all to ourselves, quite spacious, there was everything, cold cuts, vegetables, cheeses and pasta, not bad, plenty of wine and prosecco.
14/05/2025: the coffee is not so good, soon the girl at the counter realizes that I am a foreigner, she behaves as if I were a beggar and did not even give me the receipt to save on taxes
