31/03/2024: I went in to get an ice cream with 2 flavors and whipped cream. Apart from the exaggerated price (3.50+0.50) the portions were small and the cream fell off shortly after I was given the cone because it was put together badly (there wasn't much), and the sales assistant, annoyed, she cleaned it up and told me that I had to eat it immediately and that it was due to the fresh cream. Strange, yet I should have time to leave the restaurant to eat it calmly and then it's the first time this has happened to me. The two flavors I got tasted the same.

24/03/2024: Saro's cannoli are a guarantee. Never tasted such a good cannoli, not even in Sicily 🥲

22/12/2023: Tonight we tried one of the oldest places in Lucca, LA CANTINA DI CARIGNANO. The place appears warm and welcoming the furnishings such as the piano, the beamed ceiling and the chandeliers made from wagon wheels create a style that blends between old style and country. The staff is quick but a bit resolute. Good food with traditional cuisine and home-made dishes. The mise en place is good.

30/11/2023: In a good environment, good food, apart from a few small flaws, but we will return.

30/12/2023: Bar classico retrò, mobili in legno e pelle. Pulito e con buoni prodotti sia dolce che salato. Tavoli all'aperto. Personale gentile e cordiale. Prezzi buoni. Non in pieno centro ma in una traversa, tranquilla.

03/12/2023: Servizio 0. Ci siamo fermate in questo bar per prendere una cioccolata calda, ho chiesto gentilmente dove mi potevo sedere e la cameriera ha risposto dove vuoi visto che i tavoli intorno erano vuoti. Dopo poco i tavoli si sono riempiti, è tornata la cameriera, ha iniziato a prendere gli ordini a tutti tranne che a noi....ci siamo alzate senza prendere niente. Complimenti!

20/02/2024: Not a bad pastry shop, but what is truly unspeakable is that they don't allow customers to use the bathroom, behavior that is not in keeping with standards of civility and respect for customers. Never again.

04/11/2023: Nice pastry shop we had 2 really dense hot chocolates excellent and fast the service the only thing missing is the toilets which unfortunately are not reported missing. Only when asked are they told that they don't have them but normally you order first then go to the bathroom, so from now on in any environment I will first ask if they have a bathroom then I will order the drink.

29/03/2024: Breakfast for two: cappuccinos and cream croissants. The not very crumbly cream croissants 'without infamy and without praise'. Disappointing.

22/12/2023: It's a shame because it's always been a very good pastry shop, but lately it's very poor. Dry cream puffs with little cream, poor quality cream, pistachio, it doesn't taste like pistachio, it looks like a flavored cream. They look like pasta that is days old, not fresh.

11/02/2024: Una bella sorpresa, non mi aspettavo davvero mangiare un bel piatto di pasta ad un prezzo buono!!! Cibo buono e gente molto simpatica!!! Complimenti!!!

04/09/2023: The bathroom is very beautiful, in an excellent position, with truly spectacular swimming pools (including sea water) but currently, having recently reopened, it is still being renovated and therefore I believe that next year it will be decidedly better and with more more services than it currently offers

09/05/2024: Never again!!! Fruit juice, 3.50 euros, organic for goodness sake but perhaps a little exaggerated?! Cappuccino 1.60 euros... but this was a normal coffee and a little bit of milk... Half a liter of water 1.20 euros, total €6.30... a bit too much don't you think?

30/09/2023: I don't go there often but I've always found everything good enough for breakfast but last time I said enough, it's not possible for a pastry bar to serve you a croissant with cream from the day before! it was really disgusting, dry and hard and the cream tasted like nothing, I will never go for breakfast with it again, I'll start by saying that it's the first time this has happened to me.....

13/03/2024: Vengo per lavoro tutti i santi mesi, anche in bassissima stagione, qui stanno veramente diventando folli..... Per gusto prendo sempre le.solite cose, ebbene non ci credete, sono stati capaci di aumentare tutti i mesi da 26 poi 28 poi 30 ebbene oggi 35,00 euro per il solito piatto. Alle mie esternazioni alla proprietà mi hanno detto che è giusto che sia così..... Evitate gente, mangiare buono ma furto legalizzato non ho chiamato la GDF solo perché non voglio fare discussioni con altre persone, ma lo sconsiglio vivamente..... Ps durante il Covid servivano anche negli alberghi che non avevano ristorazione, volevano far pagare anche gli imballi....vergognosi...

05/02/2024: Dopo tanti anni che veniamo in questo ristorante questa volta siamo rimasti abbastanza delusi. Porzioni piccole, spaghetti allo scoglio e risotto ai frutti di mare assolutamente sconditi, sostanzialmente dei crostacei e del pesce c'era l'odore e poco di più. La storica insalata di mare sembrava preparata diversi giorni prima ed i prezzi sono aumentati troppo in relazione al cibo proposto. Un vero peccato, proveremo a dare un'altra possibilità al ristorante, dato che in qualche modo ci siamo affezionati, ma la situzione dovrà cambiare radicalmente.
