13/02/2025: READ IT ALL PLEASE: ONE STAR ONLY BECAUSE I CAN'T GIVE ZERO. August evening, we decide to try this restaurant made famous by Alessandro Borghese's series. BAD IDEA. Let's start from the beginning: to get there you have to cross a restricted traffic zone. The restaurant is located on a cliff, prepare your shoes... the restaurant geniuses ask you to communicate your license plate to avoid fines. SORRY THAT, EVEN DESPITE THE LICENSE PLATE WAS NOTICED, THE FINE ARRIVED anyway! Why? Simple: they forgot to record it…Scandalous… And here's the fun part: we write to the restaurant and they reply that they can't do anything. Are we kidding? Why do I have to pay for their mistake? Because their word is worth more than mine, on what logical basis? €150 wasted due to their incompetence. Obviously behind it there is a municipality run by incompetents who are not capable of doing their job, because instead of thanking a consumer who contributes to the economy (since if it wasn't for us they wouldn't even have money for the streets) they give random fines... And the food? Nothing special, very normal dishes that can be found everywhere on the island, but with EXAGGERATED prices Moral of the story? An anonymous dinner, poor service and a €150 fine. SHAMEFUL. AVOID IT.

05/12/2024: the place is located in an area that you have to pass through a restricted traffic zone to access. On 08/27/2024 I received a fine of €98.00 due to the owners of the place who forgot to bring the customers' license plates to the municipal police and like me all the customers of that day were fined. Fine arrived at the end of November so I couldn't even contact the restaurant which was closed.

10/04/2025: The coffee is very bad. I ordered a flat white and a bad cappuccino and the muffins are normal. The boy treated us very poorly, as if he was spending money on us. I told him the table was dirty. He said we don’t have a table cleaning service. Clean it and he sat down. He laughed at me, at what the Gulf people say, let it be vinegar.

07/02/2025: Nice place outside the walls. Discreet, almost shy welcome. The empty pastry sheet is very good. You are good, dare more. Ps: it may be practical and precise, but the automatic checkout takes away all the charm of drinking at the bar

The cuisine is the same as the inn, so you can range from slightly more elaborate dishes to a refreshing soup, or a nice platter of cured meats accompanied by a very good Schiacciata. The cuisine is traditional Tuscan, dishes full of flavours, generous portions. In short, you eat well, the environment is informal, the dogs are well tolerated, the manager is uniquely friendly and puts you in a good mood. It may not be a Michelin star but that's very good

18/12/2024: Genuinely cannot understand how this place gets so many good reviews, because it is absolutely disgusting. It's overgrown and dirty, broken glass around the pool that went uncleaned for days, a room that smelled like something died there, a king bed that was literally two broken singles pushed together, and the most unfriendly and rudest staff we dealt with in 6 months in Italy (the receptionist even flicked her smoke butt onto our patio). Don't ruin your holiday - book somewhere else

01/04/2025: Locale intimo a sapiente conduzione familiare in un borgo medievale dal panorama mozzafiato, con prodotti rigorosamente del territorio, patria di olio, carni e vino di qualità eccezionale. Sono andato a colpo sicuro e mi sono lasciato consigliare dal ruspante e gentilissimo Albo: pici ripassati nel pecorino di Pienza e peposo di secondo, accoppiata spettacolare. Tappa obbligatoria in una scampagnata consigliatissima.

22/03/2025: Das Essen war in Ordnung, der Wirt sehr auf sich selbst bedacht - am Nachbartisch sollte jeder einen Video drehen dass man auch sieht wie gut es ist. Zu uns sehr (!) unhöflich. Das kenne ich von keinem italienischen Restaurant, da ist sonst gelebte Gastfreundschaft. Wir können als Touristen eben nicht fliesend italienisch nur ein paar Worte und wurden zurechtgewiesen. Traurig, man ruht sich auf Lorbeeren aus.
