I just came here for a quick espresso. Obviously this business is closely connected with the personality of the lady at the bar, who looks and behaves her original way :-) The coffee was 2,5 EUR which is a lot in comparison with normal cafes but was good.

If you're in Pistoia, go there. Very cute, and the owner is kind and always smiling. I went on a rainy day, and it was like the sun had come out. The school desk is fantastic.

A small bar, with a family atmosphere where you are welcomed by a sunny and smiling girl, with small typical rice and cream sweets that I would say are excellent, a unique location and worth a visit... if you pass by, a stop is a must.

Caffè Valiani 1831

07/01/2026: Updated January 2026. I absolutely don't want to take anything away from other lovely pastry shops in the city, but in my opinion, Caffè Valiani is a cut above the rest, especially for the atmosphere in this magnificent location. I've had breakfast at this beautiful and historic Pistoia café several times. The cream-filled croissant is very good, and the prices are average—in fact, slightly lower than some of the more well-known cafés in my city. The rice pudding is fantastic.
31/12/2025: The interior is beautiful, the hanging sculptures are beautiful, it's nice to have breakfast in such an environment
