05/05/2024: I came back after a year and I have to make more than one criticism, the portions are no longer as generous as there used to be, there were 18 of us. The octopus from the appetizer didn't touch a single piece. They filled us up with mussels and that's it, like the first and second courses. the portions were small for the sacrificed desserts, the waitress informed us about the sorbets, failing to also indicate the cakes which we then saw being served to other diners, I repeat our waitress was rude and we are talking about a significant increase in the price

28/03/2024: An amazing sandwich with fresh cuts and fresh bread. Great flavors from start to finish, there’s no dine in area. All the sandwiches are for take away which isn’t bad at all. This is a must go for everyone! 100% you need to stop here

30/03/2024: Pay attention to the time! Over the years it has always gotten worse, especially due to the (non-existent) customer care. At 4.50pm we sit down and order 4 Aperol spritz which we are served with two small bowls with some chips and a handful of peanuts by which time 5pm had struck. Shortly afterwards we see that the other tables are also served a platter. When asked for explanations we are told that the chopping board is given starting from 5pm! There is no warning sign and the waiter was careful to inform us. We paid the same price as other customers! You made a poor impression!!
30/03/2024: 4 of us sat down for an aperitif with an Aperol spritz and we were only brought a small bowl with chips and one with peanuts. After a while at the other tables they started bringing platters along with the aperitif. I ask at the checkout if the cost (not previously stated) was different but I am told that the cost was the same except that we had ordered at 4.50pm and the cutting boards left at 5pm.
I would like to say that you look like you are starving, at least warn the customer that by waiting 10 minutes he would also have a cutting board or charge less for just the spritz.
Very nice place but it should be managed with more attention to the customer. Unfortunately they don't care because they have a constant recycling of people anyway.

30/03/2024: I was there for the first time celebrating a birthday, there were 13 of us, we ate the fish cooked in a superlative way at a more than fair price, I ate the real cacciucco from Livorno, the staff were very kind, we will definitely return, highly recommended (5 stars)

04/04/2024: After many years I returned to this seaside restaurant, excellent quality food, good service, only one flaw, you can't bring the salad and then leave the place to chat, we had to ask for the dressing, for this reason I only give 4 stars for the service, 3 stars for the environment because I believe that a restaurant like this deserves more space.
01/04/2024: We went for Easter lunch.
Very kind staff. The waitresses are a little "immature" but always very kind and helpful.
What is not acceptable is the lack of cleanliness. We had lunch with wine glasses that were visibly not very clean but given the glasses of the other tables and since we are decidedly rustic, we did not ask for replacements.
Personally and from experience when I ran a restaurant, the fault lies first and foremost with poor maintenance of the glasswasher and then with those who put the glasses on the table without looking at them.
Good quality food with normal plating. The only suggestion is to avoid decorations with ground pepper on a flat edge. Personally I love pepper but there are people who don't like it.
Would I go back?
YES for cooking No for cleaning.
I'm sure that with little effort they will improve the aim to deserve 5 stars.

10/03/2024: The seafood appetizer was very badly eaten and looked like a pre-packaged dish.
Seafood rice and spaghetti with seafood prepared with definitely frozen fish, non-existent flavour.
Experience not to be repeated.

Good food with a selection of 600 wine labels available. Best ricotta flan ever had. Great staff, the sommelier has a solid knowledge not only on Tuscan wines but as well he knows to compare with world wines.
Stunning location as well.
29/04/2024: Finalmente dopo diversi tentativi siamo riusciti a cenare in questo bellissimo ristorante proprio all'ingresso di Montichiello, borgo meraviglioso!. Accoglienza perfetta e cibo oltre ogni aspettativa in quanto si ha la possibilità di mangiare cibo della tradizione con qualche nota di modernità. Servizio eccellente e ambiente confortevole. Complimenti!

06/04/2024: I went to the restaurant for a family dinner. The first time for me to eat seafood specialties, especially raw, in Florence. We ordered a small tasting of raw seafood. The prawns were very good, in all their variations, but the tartare had no flavour. I understand blast chilling, but it didn't have that typical sea scent that, at least I'm used to having. Furthermore, when the fried food arrives, I notice that there are more artichokes and chips than fish.
Regarding the service, I understand it was a Friday evening, but I expected the courses to arrive all together, and not when the other diners at my table had finished
