🦑🐙🍾 On a Thursday for lunch we chose this small restaurant in Darsena to avoid the crowds of business lunches and we found tranquility, quality for the price and a special offer. Cacciucco x2 with bottle of wine included! Abundant portions and a special note for a very soft octopus!!!!
The owner is a knowledgeable and really kind girl! Excellent location on the main road, varied choice of wines and captivating seafood dishes. We will definitely return on other occasions too. WE RECOMMEND!

The restaurant was not as good as the past. New ownership or new chef.

02/04/2024: Restaurant located a few steps from the seafront, the internal environment is on two floors, well furnished with toilets in good condition. The menu offers fish and meat dishes and also pizzas. I had a grilled fish which however was poor, the waiting times are fair, the staff was a little nervous, the food is good but the portions are a little small compared to the price, the wine is still good. For payment they also make separate accounts and also accept credit cards.

30/03/2024: Pay attention to the time! Over the years it has always gotten worse, especially due to the (non-existent) customer care. At 4.50pm we sit down and order 4 Aperol spritz which we are served with two small bowls with some chips and a handful of peanuts by which time 5pm had struck. Shortly afterwards we see that the other tables are also served a platter. When asked for explanations we are told that the chopping board is given starting from 5pm! There is no warning sign and the waiter was careful to inform us. We paid the same price as other customers! You made a poor impression!!
30/03/2024: 4 of us sat down for an aperitif with an Aperol spritz and we were only brought a small bowl with chips and one with peanuts. After a while at the other tables they started bringing platters along with the aperitif. I ask at the checkout if the cost (not previously stated) was different but I am told that the cost was the same except that we had ordered at 4.50pm and the cutting boards left at 5pm.
I would like to say that you look like you are starving, at least warn the customer that by waiting 10 minutes he would also have a cutting board or charge less for just the spritz.
Very nice place but it should be managed with more attention to the customer. Unfortunately they don't care because they have a constant recycling of people anyway.

30/03/2024: I went for lunch with my wife and a friend of ours, we had a great time, courtesy, timing, and truly excellent dishes, excellent value for money.
I really feel like recommending this place.

10/03/2024: The seafood appetizer was very badly eaten and looked like a pre-packaged dish.
Seafood rice and spaghetti with seafood prepared with definitely frozen fish, non-existent flavour.
Experience not to be repeated.

06/04/2024: Nice place for a quick lunch, with quiet terrace. Food is nice, we had a risotto and fish, and everything was tasty. Staff is very friendly and the service is fast. Only objection is to the limited vine chart, as only house vine is available (white / red / sparkling).
03/04/2024: The food is very good, from the appetizer to the side dish. Unfortunately we weren't able to taste the dessert because the dishes had more than enough portions.
The restaurant, despite being located in the center, enjoys a good price list.
The staff are also really friendly and welcoming.

01/04/2024: The review, I state, only concerns the hospitality aspect given that our drink was only two glasses.
We enter at around 7.30pm, on the counter there are many aperitif pieces, pizzas, scones, sandwiches, etc. We ask for two glasses of red after it has been clarified to us that there is no table service and we are given two saucers if we want eat something.
I grab two small pieces of pizza and we head to the table.
The shop assistants who bustle around our table don't tell us anything about the closure, only to then, around 8pm, comment loudly from the counter about who goes to eat at that time who definitely doesn't work in a bar!
Since we hear, we understand that we have to get up and, at the same moment, one of the girls tells us with a brush in her hand that the place is closing.
Well, let's pay. There is a rather annoyed tone. Among other things, a customer was still at the counter eating.
Now, I understand well the tiredness and the desire to end the shift, however it was enough to simply tell us how long we could stay in the room without talking behind our backs.
I don't think we will return to try other specialties.
When you are in contact with the public, the way you communicate is fundamental

04/04/2024: Charming ambience in colonial style. Very authentic, friendly and courteous service. Excellent food, special requests were catered for. Regional and homemade specialties. We can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and thank you for a lovely evening!
02/04/2024: On the advice of a local person we came to eat in this place last Boxing Day and we fell in love with it. The cuisine is really good, each dish is artfully made, rich in flavor and well presented. The staff and owner are all very courteous and approachable. At Easter we decided to always go back for a family lunch, there was a very abundant fixed menu (even too much!!!), we ate very well, also for the children at the table they had eggs to color and drawings and markers, which they greatly appreciated. It's now our favorite restaurant in the area, we're not local but we always go there when we can!!

01/04/2024: Easter Monday with the family unfortunately in the rain but thanks to lunch at the Clara restaurant everything went well thanks to the exceptional fish dishes. The wines and especially the desserts are excellent.
11/03/2024: Il personale veramente gentile ma…MAI MANGIATO COSÌ MALE IN TUTTA LA MIA VITA! Una pepata di cozze secche e asciutte con 20 cozze contate 16 euro! Una Catalana con 4/5 gamberi e 3/4 scampi 35 euro e una “linguina alla versiliese” 16 euro con del pesce tritato non meglio identificato, anzi con un odore sgradevole che ricorda le vongole in barattolo del supermercato…
Quindi evitatelo che è meglio

06/04/2024: Very nice restaurant, typical in a small street in Lucca and rather pleasant service but I must admit that it was a disappointment when we received the dishes. If we put the size of the dishes in relation to the price.
We had several pasta dishes for €15 and the quantity is not very respectful of Italian generosity. We left with a half-filled stomach… and therefore a mezzo mezzo effect. Too bad because adding 50g more spaghetti to the plate won't ruin the business :)
04/04/2024: I had lunch with two colleagues in this little restaurant hidden in an alley in the center.
We found fresh pasta, tasty dishes, delicious and refined desserts.
Friendly and welcoming owner and staff. A real treat for mouth and spirit!
I hope to return to Lucca to eat here again.
