The Gattanos, owners of the café, personally took care of everything and did it impeccably. Both the service and the quality of the catering were excellent, so much so that we received many compliments for our choice. We will certainly rely on Caffè Battiati again. We sincerely thank the Gattanos for the success of our inaugural event.

The warm and welcoming greeting, the ambiance, and of course, the food, which couldn't have been fresher or more Sicilian. So delicious!! We enjoyed it immensely and can honestly say it was the highlight of our trip to Sicily. Thank you both for such a special experience!!

10/06/2026: The food was good (we tried the mixed cooked antipasto) and two types of pasta of the day. The only thing we didn't like was the octopus salad. The problem with the place, in my opinion, is the location, which could be improved both aesthetically and, especially, in terms of soundproofing. Having gone on a very busy day, I can understand the stress of the waiters, but having to wait 30 minutes and asking for the bill four times at the table is simply out of the question. Unfortunately, the bathroom only had one working sink, and there was a line to wash our hands.

24/05/2026: The food is good, I have to admit! The fish is fresh and delicious. It's a shame, however, that they don't offer a good alternative for those with specific allergies, gluten intolerance, or lactose intolerance. At a banquet where the daily menu is the same for everyone, you're forced to eat less than those who don't have these conditions. You stand there waiting for something you can eat while everyone else has devoured undoubtedly delicious dishes, because their answer is... this is what comes out of the kitchen and it's the same for everyone! So, my poor unfortunate soul, if you want to eat at this place, bring your own food because you won't eat it all! Not even dessert! Because they can't help you with that. Unfortunately, it was a banquet, and I couldn't help myself and choose another place more suited to my needs, but I think it's not a bad idea to try to adapt to what is increasingly common. It wasn't nice to see others eating and feeling inadequate! In the end, I got a risotto when everyone else had already finished dinner, and I was just getting started... But at least it was good!

18/07/2026: Macchia di Giarre, CT. Via San Matteo, 2. A good café with a wide selection of artisanal dishes. The hot dishes are especially noteworthy, always fresh and well-seasoned. The place is clean, welcoming, and well-organized, even in terms of space. Friendly staff, and overall quick service.
