25/04/2026: I have to start by praising the kindness and hospitality of the staff. This is a very well-kept place, you really feel pampered. The dishes are beautiful. Between the first and second courses, I preferred the second course because it's a bit more flavorful. If they'd added a little more salt to the first courses, they would have been much better, but still delicious. The bread, homemade, is exceptional!!! I could have eaten so much, but I had to hold back 😅. The cocoa bread is the one that surprised me because I'd never tried it before, and it's truly unique. Congratulations, we'll definitely be back with friends and family because it's truly worth it.

28/05/2026: Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, helpful and fast waiter... the owner, however, was inhospitable and excessively insistent in informing us that the kitchen closed at 10:30 PM... information we certainly understood well after he told us five times. It should be noted that we had booked for 11 people, and five of them arrived around 10 PM due to a delay in transportation. I advise the owner to be more courteous with customers and, if necessary, pay the cooks overtime if it were necessary to go past the kitchen closing time... especially for a group of 11 people who left €627 there.

I write these words with a hint of melancholy, after returning to what for me, since time immemorial, has been not just a restaurant, but a true refuge. I've been coming to Rucola since I was a boy; it saw me become a man, a husband, and a father. It's where I've celebrated the most important milestones in my family, from my children's first communion, with the certainty that we would be welcomed not as customers, but as longtime friends. Yesterday, sadly, I strongly felt the absence of what made this place special: Biagio's warm and ever-present welcome. The memories of Maurizio's Inter Milan that colored the shelves. That historic cuisine, made of unchanging flavors that tasted of home and security. Food is important, but the owners' smile was the secret ingredient that completed every dish. Entering La Rucola meant disconnecting from everything and feeling protected by a management team that put their heart and soul into it. ​I want to send a heartfelt greeting to all the people who have shaped the history of this restaurant and to all the customers who, like me, shared a part of their journey at those tables. 24/05/2026: You arrive on the lakefront of Lake Lugano on the Italian side and can be reached from Como or Switzerland. I recommend going through the Ponte Tresa customs checkpoint from Italy (set your GPS for Ponte Tresa and then for Crotto to avoid a detour). If you're arriving from Switzerland, you'll arrive before Porlezza; from Italy, after Porlezza and the tunnel. The restaurant has two internal parking spaces, going down a short private road towards the lake and also above the road. The lake view from a seat is priceless, and the food is divine. Perch ravioli number one, pike number two, but everything was delicious, even the pistachio cream. Boat access is also available! With a private dock, divine desserts made by Pasticceria Italia in Porlezza. (go here too) We will DEFINITELY be back.

22/05/2026: After several attempts, we finally managed to book a table at Trippa. We arrived at 9:45 pm, full of anticipation, knowing that we might not find all the dishes available. The dining room staff welcomed us with great kindness and enthusiasm; the table was set like a trattoria, with paper placemats. Vitello tonnato was available, but the pasta al burro was sold out; they smiled at us when it arrived at all the tables around us. We ordered the Trippa Fritta (fried tripe), the Vitello tonnato (veal with tuna), then pasta with clams and a cockerel with asparagus. Everything was good, with quality ingredients. The service was a bit distracted. We finished with a tiramisu to share; it was frothy, but not satisfying. A good dinner, not unforgettable, probably marred by the effort it took to book a table. We left with a bill of €65 each. Definitely not a trattoria. I'm happy I tried it, but I don't know if I'd go back.

19/05/2026: The dishes are authentic, carefully prepared using high-quality ingredients (5 stars). The wine list is good, but the markups are a bit high. The owners and staff are friendly, kind, and welcoming. The prices are fair and in line with the quality offered. Unfortunately, we've only been able to dine here twice in the last six years: for a birthday and once because we were lucky enough to find availability, perhaps due to an unexpected cancellation. The restaurant has limited seating, and reservations are only possible through the website's booking platform. And finding a seat is really difficult, despite the reservation system having changed. Unfortunately, I can't give more stars for this reason.

28/05/2026: After visiting the stadium, I went to this restaurant where I ate some very good penne. The portion was generous and the service was quick. I even left a tip for the waiter who was very friendly!

14/05/2026: I wouldn't want this historic institution and icon to be swept away with the construction of the new stadium. Personally, we've been stocking up on coffee and various food before Inter matches since '83. Inside, you can breathe in the atmosphere of the various championships and tournaments, with photos and trophies that have lived in symbiosis with the San Siro Stadium. Like two great, inseparable friends who have been hanging out and sharing historic football moments since 1957. 🖤💙🖤💙
