10/07/2026: I went with a friend for an aperitif and it was very nice as it was surrounded by greenery with outdoor tables and deckchairs where you can stop and sunbathe.

24/05/2026: You arrive on the lakefront of Lake Lugano on the Italian side and can be reached from Como or Switzerland. I recommend going through the Ponte Tresa customs checkpoint from Italy (set your GPS for Ponte Tresa and then for Crotto to avoid a detour). If you're arriving from Switzerland, you'll arrive before Porlezza; from Italy, after Porlezza and the tunnel. The restaurant has two internal parking spaces, going down a short private road towards the lake and also above the road. The lake view from a seat is priceless, and the food is divine. Perch ravioli number one, pike number two, but everything was delicious, even the pistachio cream. Boat access is also available! With a private dock, divine desserts made by Pasticceria Italia in Porlezza. (go here too) We will DEFINITELY be back.

22/07/2026: Historic and dated restaurant, excellent fish, high prices, it would be nice if they offered fresh bread and not the day before, by the way, it would be good if you learned to use real puff pastry for the tarte tatin, a dinner to forget. The waitress was very kind and helpful.

11/07/2026: A well-maintained restaurant with an interesting menu. Excellent quality ingredients. A well-stocked wine list. The owner is an excellent host. Attentive and professional service. Definitely worth a try.

30/07/2026: We've been there twice for lunch and have always had a great experience. We had a problem with the payment because the transaction was recorded twice. Even though we realized it 20 days later, they resolved the issue immediately and without any issues; they were truly kind.

09/07/2026: By far the best drinks in all of Italy! I have been traveling around for two weeks and having an apertivo every night and this is the best by far! The bartender is super professional, and makes the tasty drinks! I highly recommend this place!

11/07/2026: We came in for a wine aperitivo, found a quiet, cozy place, with people who know their wine, care about their customers and carry an interesting conversation.

07/07/2026: Stopped in during aperitivo hour, close to the touristic area but felt genuinely local, with mostly Italian speakers around me and the place quiet without being empty. The prosecco was between €5 and €8 a glass, high quality and fresh, obviously a step up from anything you get in a supermarket, and it came with small aperitivo bites included, which is how it should be done in Italy. Sat inside and enjoyed the air conditioning, which alone is worth it in Milan in summer. The owner was very friendly and clearly knew the wines well, happy to give recommendations if you wanted them. The display of bottles along the walls is nicely done too.

06/08/2026: Traditional, homey flavors, typically Italian, Roman, Tuscan, Milanese, and beyond. Medium-large portions, average prices. Courteous and efficient service. We tried the tonnarelli cacio e pepe and penne alla Chiarugi, both excellent dishes. Excellent desserts. I can't judge the wines, as I never drink wine. UPDATE AUGUST 2020. A welcome addition to the menu is a list of traditional Roman pinsa. The one alla gricia is delicious, richly seasoned and very flavorful. A truly Italian, mainly Roman/Milan traditional restaurant. They have 100 years of experience in Rome and about 30 in Milan. Very good selection of main courses with pasta and rice, fish, and meat. If you are in Milan for holidays or work, you have to try this! Try, for example, the Cacio e Pepe...you won't forget this experience. Update August 2026. I confirm what I said above after 6 years and several dinners here. The quality of the dishes is always excellent, the wait staff is courteous and naturally friendly. I tried the cacio e fave pasta, which was truly excellent. This place is now a sure thing.

25/06/2026: Delicious pizza at an unbeatable price. Highly recommended. Unfortunately, there's no seating available, but we got our pizzas to go and ate them in the nearby park. Takeaway drinks were also very reasonably priced, and the owner was incredibly friendly! We had a great chat, and he was very kind and welcoming.

22/07/2026: Charming Irish pub in the unesco heritage site! Small but perfectly formed. As. We're from Ireland we couldn't resist. Like a Disney version of an Irish pub, or as we call them in Ireland, a pub.

21/07/2026: Excellent menu with traditional Irish dishes, burgers, and a variety of snacks. Great selection of beers, and a professional, friendly owner and staff.

19/07/2026: One of the best seafood restaurants in Milan. An excellent choice, popular especially with Milanese residents, with top-quality dishes and a consistently top-notch experience.

08/03/2026: Very small, but extremely good. Because of its small size, you'll have to wait in line for quite a while, but if you have the extra time, it's worth it.

08/03/2026: Good pastries, but the service is poor and the space is disorganized. I waited 15 minutes for a cappuccino, and even though it was busy, the place didn't warrant that long a wait (out of four people behind the counter, only one was actively working).
