31/03/2024: During a recent visit to the Betti pastry shop in Cremona, I was curious to discover their confectionery offerings, in particular an attempt to reinterpret the famous cubic brioche. My attention was captured by the innovative idea, although I noticed that the brioches, despite being presented as cubic, had irregular shapes and were not uniform with each other. This is a departure from the original cubic brioche concept, which is famous for its geometric precision and uniform texture. Our experience, however, took an unexpected turn even before we could place an order. Despite it being 2024, a year in which we would expect greater openness and inclusiveness, we were asked to leave the venue because we were in the company of a Golden Retriever. This episode underlines a clear need for evolution in the welcome and openness towards pets, values ​​that are increasingly appreciated in society today. We recognize the effort towards innovation in the menu of the Betti pastry shop, but we believe that there is ample space to improve both the accuracy of the products and the welcome of customers, including their four-legged friends. We invite the bakery to consider this feedback as an opportunity to align itself more closely with modern expectations of inclusiveness and hospitality.

09/12/2023: Chen number one, stop if you pass by here. Top aperitifs, excellent value for money. Fabulous nettle grappa. Highly recommended.
