25/11/2024: I pass by by chance for coffee after lunch with my colleague, we were there for work... unfortunately I didn't have cash and I had to pay 2.90 with the card. The owner makes me pay and as I'm leaving I hear "this one pays 2.90 euros with the card", annoyed. I would like to specify a couple of things: first of all, paying with the POS is a RIGHT of every citizen, however much it may annoy the merchant. Secondly, I am a paid worker and every penny of mine ends up straight in the current account and I don't always have the possibility of withdrawing cash. Rude like few others, but I pretended nothing happened when I left because I am more polite than this man. Plus, the coffee also sucked.

21/02/2025: Aspetti di Canegrate is a place that I have held in my heart since I was a child. Every visit with my grandmother was a special occasion, made unforgettable by their fabulous pastries. Among the delicacies offered, "La Meneghina" and the traditional panettone stand out, authentic delicacies that I highly recommend savoring.

07/04/2025: The gentleman at the checkout is unprofessional and disrespectful towards the customers. I don't think I'll ever go back there again. Lodi is packed with bars, perhaps it would be better for you to have a more appropriate and kinder attitude given that the products sold are below average. Their products are absolutely poor quality, one of the worst brioches I've ever tasted (since I couldn't finish it). Their advantage is certainly not working well, having quality products or being kind to customers but rather the location which is close to the hospital. For intellectual honesty I would like to point out that the girl who served was efficient regarding the speed of the service but this, together with the position, will be enough for us if everything else is inadequate.

27/05/2025: Sono un’accompagnatrice turistica tesserata della città di Bergamo per turisti russofoni provenienti da tutti i paesi del mondo. Il mio compito è quello di accompagnarli nel percorso della città, consigliandoli i diversi posti dove recarsi secondo le loro necessità, posti che includono ristoranti e bar dove li accompagno facendo anche da traduttrice e facilitando il loro rapporto con i diversi fornitori di servizi per il turista. Fino al giorno 25 maggio di quest’anno, trovandomi a far conoscere a loro il “Sentierone” di Bergamo, è stata sempre la mia consuetudine portarli al bar Balzer e, sottolineo “fino al giorno 25 maggio di quest’anno” perché dopo quello che mi è successo con un loro barista, un fatto MOLTO grave e increscioso che a continuazione racconterò, non solo non porterò i miei turisti mai più a questo bar ma, io stessa con mio marito non mi recherò mai più neanche a prendere un semplice caffè. Ero al bar con i miei turisti, due nella fattispecie, madre e figlia. La madre di 84 anni aveva problemi di udibilità tali per i quali, pur indossando un apposito apparecchio acustico, era necessario alzare la voce al di sopra di una certa soglia per poter comunicare con lei. La figlia era in grado di capire anche la lingua italiana. Trovandomi nella cassa per pagare la mia consumazione, la signora maggiore si accingeva a ordinare un caffè corretto ma, ancora non aveva deciso la bibita alcolica con la quale avrebbe voluto il caffè. Il barista decise di preparare il caffè aggiungendo la grappa ma, la signora non gradiva questo tipo di bibita. Io, trovandomi a distanza del barista, alzai la voce per dire al barista di aspettare che la signora avrebbe scelto a continuazione. Il barista mi rispose con degli insulti pesanti "****,cosa ti credi di essere” ad altri più pesanti ancora che preferirei non riferire per evitare la possibilità che la mia recensione possa incidentalmente essere letta da minori ma, che potrete ben immaginare. Io, di fronte a questo trattamento del tutto irrispettoso, cafone e sgarbato da parte del barista, rimase interdetta ed impietrita giacché mai e poi mai mi sarei aspettato un simile trattamento dal servitore di un bar, soprattutto quando il motivo per il quale ho alzato la voce per comunicare con il barista è stato perché mi trovavo a distanza di esso e anche per far sì che la signora di 84 anni mi potesse ascoltare, vista la sua ipoacusia. La figlia che capì perfettamente gli insulti che stavo ricevendo, mi propose di fare immediatamente una denuncia alla polizia e si offrì di farmi da testimone insieme a sua mamma, proposta che NON accettai per due ragioni: prima perché, conoscendo che fine fanno le denunce di questo tipo in Italia, considerai che sarebbe stato una perdita di tempo. Secondo perché non potevo utilizzare il tempo prezioso di visita di queste turiste alla città di Bergamo per una procedura di questo tipo. Immagino che al menzionato bar non nuocerà minimamente che io abbia deciso di non portare più turiste a loro ma, per quanto detto, mi sento nel dovere di riferire l’accaduto a chi stia valutando la qualità del servizio per avvertire che ciò che è successo a me, e che è accaduto nel modo che io l’ho raccontato, non dovesse succedere a nessun altro. _____________________________________________________ I am a licensed tour leader of the city of Bergamo for Russian-speaking tourists from all over the world. My job is to accompany them on their tour of the city, advising them on the different places to go according to their needs, places that include restaurants and bars where I accompany them, also acting as a translator and facilitating their relationship with the different suppliers of tourist services. Until May 25th of this year, when I found myself introducing them to the “Sentierone” of Bergamo, it was always my habit to take them to the Balzer bar and, I emphasize “until May 25th of this year” because after what happened to me with one of their bartenders, a VERY serious and unfortunate event that I will tell you about below, not only will I never take my tourists to this bar again but, I myself and my husband will never go there again, not even for a simple coffee. I was at the bar with my tourists, two in this case, a mother and daughter. The 84-year-old mother had hearing problems such that, even though she wore a hearing aid, it was necessary to raise her voice above a certain threshold to be able to communicate with her. The daughter was also able to understand Italian. As I was at the cash register to pay for my drink, the older lady was about to order a caffè corretto but she still hadn't decided what alcoholic drink she wanted with her coffee. The bartender decided to prepare the coffee by adding grappa but the lady didn't like this type of drink. As I was standing at a distance from the bartender, I raised my voice to tell the bartender to wait while the lady would choose next. The bartender responded to me with heavy insults that ranged from “*****, what do you think you are” to even heavier ones that I would prefer not to report to avoid the possibility that my review could accidentally be read by minors but, you can well imagine. I, faced with this completely disrespectful, rude and impolite treatment from the bartender, remained speechless and petrified because I would never have expected such treatment from a bar server, especially when the reason why I raised my voice to communicate with the bartender was because I was at a distance from him and also to ensure that the 84-year-old lady could hear me, given her hearing loss. The daughter, who understood perfectly the insults I was receiving, suggested that I immediately file a complaint with the police and offered to be my witness together with her mother, a proposal that I DID NOT accept for two reasons: first because, knowing what happens to complaints of this type in Italy, I considered that it would be a waste of time. Second because I could not use the precious time of visiting these tourists in the city of Bergamo for a procedure of this type. I imagine that the aforementioned bar will not be harmed in the slightest that I have decided not to bring tourists to them anymore but, for what has been said, I feel obliged to report the incident to those who are evaluating the quality of the service to warn that what happened to me, and that it happened in the way that I have described it, should not happen to anyone else.

25/05/2025: Ho chiesto un cornetto alla crema, dopo 10 minuti mi comunicano che sono terminate, alla mia richiesta di non portare nulla in cambio mi è stato detto che non potevano togliere il costo dal conto... a questo punto mi è stato proposto un krapfen alla crema, me ne hanno portato uno grande come una ciliegia da non tornarci più

In the outdoor terrace you can enjoy excellent ice creams as well as a variety of semifreddo, granitas and other various sweets. Excellent assortment of flavors with vegan and lactose-free variants, in short, all needs are satisfied.

13/05/2025: It's the kind of place that sells itself as high-end, but then when you go to see the quality is just barely adequate: the pastry shop is perhaps the only decent thing, the ice cream advertised as artisanal is mediocre, the coffee shop is terrible with baristas who don't even run water from the machine before making you an espresso (which is what I would expect from a place like this). If you want to sell yourself as a "cool" place, you have to work hard to prove it!

11/04/2025: Esperienza meravigliosa. Voti da 1 a 10: 10 per il locale. Elegante e antico locale nel centro di Teviglio. Si può chiedere di più? Non direi. Si respira un clima di affabile leggerezza. Stupendo. 10 per il cibo. Cornetto con lo zabaione molto buono. Impasto e farcitura di ottimo livello. 8 per il servizio. Veloce e cortese. Discreto rapporto qualità prezzo. Ci tornerei? Sì. Lo consiglierei? Sì.

06/12/2024: Piccolo locale storico (aperto nel 1959) collocato nel centro della città, poco distante dalla basilica di S. Andrea, dove si può bere il miglior caffè di Mantova. Io ho consumato al bancone il caffè macchiato servito in tazza grande con tanta schiuma di latte …. una vera delizia (1,80 euro). In negozio è possibile acquistare miscele di caffè a marchio Salomoni. Caffè di ottima qualità, servizio abbastanza rapido, personale anonimo e prezzi sopra la media.

22/04/2025: An absolute scam!! We wanted to enjoy the terrace with a cold coke, which cost us 8 euros! The place is located in a relatively ordinary square, without any remarkable viewpoint. The price is absolutely not justified! The appetizer that is served to the other people next to us is not at all appetizing... The service is not pleasant, it's shameful. Run away!

22/04/2025: Nous voulions prendre un verre en terrasse... Et nous nous retrouvons à payer deux coca 16 euros !! Aucune carte nous est fournie au préalable et le service est vraiment mauvais. Nous n'avons pas pensé, juste pour un verre, que nous allions subir une arnaque. L'endroit est quelconque, animé mais sans point de vue remarquable. Rien ne justifie le prix. De plus, les apéritifs servis aux autres convives n'ont vraiment pas l'air appétissants. Un simple conseil, à fuir !

14/04/2025: It was once one of my points of reference. Recently they have increased the prices, decreased the capacity of the cappuccino cups but above all changed the croissants. Now they are soft, half raw and full of fat. It's clear that they don't make them anymore. Sin!
