16/05/2026: Tourist trap. A disgrace. We ordered a salad for €13 and received bagged leaves with mozzarella and no dressing. The pizza was frozen with canned mushrooms... in short, we should have read the reviews beforehand... right near the market, they know they're busy. Shameful.

01/05/2026: I stopped by for a quiet coffee... Questionable welcome, dirty table, slow service... coffee that wasn't really coffee. I was hoping for better!

03/01/2026: The staff were rude, especially at the cash register, and the pastries were lacking. It's a real shame, because I'd been there as a child with my grandfather (I lived in Pavia at the time), and it was a whole different story. I still remember the waitress's kindness and the cream canoncino I ate!

14/12/2025: December 8th. We decide to stop for an aperitivo at what's described as one of the most renowned and elegant venues in the city. The place is packed, but despite not having booked, we're kindly shown to the upstairs dining room, which is currently empty. A great start. Too bad that from there begins a sort of sociological experiment on how long a customer can be ignored. We sit for at least twenty minutes without anyone noticing us, while other customers arrive. At a certain point, the waiter in charge of the dining room appears and distributes menus... to all the tables except ours, leaving without even looking at us. Apparently, being the first to arrive didn't even warrant a greeting. After a few more minutes and the intervention of a second waiter, we finally manage to intercept the first and politely ask for the menus. We're asked if we want the herbal tea or cocktail menu. I reply "both," since I want a herbal tea and my partner a cocktail. All hell breaks loose. The waiter snorts dramatically, flares his nostrils, purses his lips, and sighs in annoyance, as if I'd insulted him or as if he were facing someone incapable of understanding, repeating the same question in a rude tone. I calmly repeat that we want both menus. He disappears. He returns after several minutes and, with the grace of an Olympic thrower, tosses us a menu of herbal teas and a dessert menu, before disappearing again. At that point, we both order a cocktail and also ask for two chips, enunciating carefully; perhaps a refresher course was needed. Chaos ensues. Tables receive random appetizers, incomplete orders, customers wait. We see our chips and olives arrive at another table, where a woman, appropriately surprised, asks for an explanation. She's told that "they're included in the aperitif." Too bad nothing else arrives for half an hour, with an increasingly nervous child. The ensuing discussion culminates in a very elegant "go fuck yourself..." from a waiter who evidently thought no one was looking. Pure class. Our cocktails arrive without appetizers, which arrive only halfway through after repeated reminders. Excellent chips and olives, it must be said: probably the only thing that worked. At the cashier, we're asked if everything went well. I try to explain my disagreement, but he arrives: the waiter in question (brown hair shaved at the sides with an upward fade, a perpetually sullen and annoyed expression). He interrupts, draws attention to himself, and effectively ends the conversation. The end. Such behavior is unacceptable in a venue open to the public, regardless of the quality of the food or the location. The disrespect, arrogance, and nervousness of just one person caused inconvenience to customers and colleagues all evening. We have no reason to advise against it. We'll probably return, hoping that the owners will pay more attention to staff training and, perhaps, take responsibility for what happened. Apologies, every now and then, are still in fashion.

29/04/2026: The drinks were good. Good price. The service was not very pleasant.

16/03/2026: I didn’t like the food at all though it’s not super cheap, they just reheat pre-cooked dishes. My bf said it was ok for him, that’s why I give 3 stars, not 2. Aperol was big and good.

13/07/2026: July 13 I arrive and ask for a Spritz inside, and they tell me to go to my table to ask for my order. I sit at the table, and at least ten minutes pass, watching the waitresses go back and forth between the tables, and in the meantime, I see a table that had arrived after me being served. I don't know if they skipped me on purpose, probably because of my un-tourist look. But whatever. I mention this, and shortly thereafter, my order arrives. I'll just say this. It was the most watered-down, tasteless, and, I'm sorry to say, most disgusting Spritz I've ever had. It tasted of nothing except tonic water; none of the sweetness of the usual Aperol Spritz, or even wine. All this for the modest sum of €12. The worst money I've ever spent on a Spritz. The only positive note was the view (+1), and that alone.

10/05/2026: Prices are insane, to say the least. I've never paid so much for pastries (basically €2 each), and the selection is limited. I'll never go back, it's incredibly expensive.

04/06/2025: 2 flavors of ice cream for €3.50!!! You'd practically need a microscope to find the ice cream!!! I asked for the meringue (he didn't have time to make it)!!! It was 4 PM!!! When do you think you'll make it? Tonight???? Never again...

26/07/2026: Absolutely horrible. Scrambled eggs were swimming in oil, half of our order didn’t even make it to our table. One of the two waitresses was extremely rude. Highly don’t recommend.

25/07/2026: I ordered an Americano on Friday...what can I say? The taste was anything but what I expected. I took a sip and put it on the table. Undrinkable. I still paid for it only because I left early and my friends stayed at the table.

14/07/2026: Beautiful place, very kind and always available staff! Fantastic, especially considering we're in the center of one of the most beautiful squares in Italy! Highly recommended!

14/06/2026: Beautiful location overlooking the lake. The large salad was very small for €10, really disappointing. Elsewhere, that would pass as a side salad. The pizza was okay, though a bit bland. The staff was friendly. All in all, average.

04/06/2026: What a shame! Wonderful location, but the service is awful. After 1.5 hours, we still hadn't received our food, and the waiter didn't even come to ask if everything was okay or if we wanted to order more drinks. The table next to us and the table behind us were also complaining about things. After 1.5 hours, we left without eating. There are so many other good restaurants along the promenade; please, people, go to one of the other places!

23/03/2026: I chose this property through a booking portal where I had a fixed price. I decided to contact the property privately to find out the price. Saving about €40, I decided to book directly over the phone, mentioning the price quoted on the portal several times. When I paid, the lady informed me that the price was per night and not for the entire stay. In the end, I ended up paying €240 in cash, from the €150 quoted on the portal. Not to mention the lack of an extra blanket in the room and adequate radiators, the off-flavor yogurt served for breakfast, the distance from all the city's attractions, and the obvious lack of professionalism. Asking €120 per night in Capronno is bordering on insanity. Look around for better properties or get everything agreed upon in writing.

They were quite rude, and the waiters behaved as if they were the owners. Basic courtesy like "welcome," "thank you," or "enjoy your meal" was completely missing. 11/09/2025: Unfortunately, this place suddenly closed its doors after Easter and never reopened. I don't understand why it's still listed as open, with opening hours included. I even asked the shop next door if they knew what had happened, since I used to go there occasionally until the sudden closure, but they couldn't tell me anything.

10/04/2026: A disappointing experience at the Lloa store located inside the Il Centro shopping center in Arese. Given that the author also works in the food service industry, we visited the store at 9:30 PM, still significantly ahead of the advertised closing time (10:00 PM), confident that the service would be fully operational. However, we were turned away on two separate occasions: initially, my wife, when requesting a juice, was told that the machine had already been cleaned; then, about ten minutes later, my children and I attempted to order frozen yogurt, only to receive the same explanation. This situation raises a rather obvious point: if products are no longer available half an hour before closing, it would be far more appropriate and transparent to indicate an actual end-of-service time, thus avoiding creating unmet customer expectations. Adding to the unpleasantness of the experience was the attitude of the counter staff, who seemed visibly annoyed by the time and reluctant to listen, revealing a sense of impatience with customers. In conclusion, we visited another store (Cioccolati Italiani), which, despite it being close to closing time, served and welcomed us with warmth and kindness, and to whom I offer my sincerest compliments.

21/02/2026: My husband and I stopped in with our 9-month-old baby. We ordered poke, which we said was excellent and fresh, but while we were eating, the owner noticed the baby was sleeping and turned off the music, something he's never done at other places. We thank him from the bottom of our hearts.
