In fact, they were enraptured by the deliciousness and beauty of the place. Not to mention the kindness. We recommend taking your time to enjoy this timeless place. The quality of the food and cuisine is more than double the price elsewhere.

08/03/2026: Stayed local and decided to go check the local food establishment. I walked in as a solo and was greeted with smiles. The menu was easy to understand even with it in Italian and me being English. I ordered a bresaola pizza and a milanese de cortaleta. The pizza was exceptional and the veil was cooked perfectly. For €30 two courses of this quality and a beer was fantastic value. I enjoyed it so much i went back the next evening. This time I had a carbonara with local lake fish which was creamy and delicious and a different pizza this time with sausages and prosciutto. Both stunning again and this time €28. The staff were friendly and helpful. Each night someone spoke enough English and me pointing to get by. I would travel a decent way to eat here again. One of my highlights of my Italian trip

08/03/2026: I recently visited Taberna Calabiana in Milan, and the experience was a mixed bag. The food was good quality and the flavors were well-balanced, but unfortunately the service was quite slow. Furthermore, the prices are relatively high for the level of service offered. Overall, it's worth it for the food, but there's room for improvement in the service and pace.

04/03/2026: Dinner for the first time, a pleasant surprise. Beautiful location, top-notch service, excellent food, and I'm not sure what the bill is. I think it should cost at least €80-100. Well spent, I must say.

28/02/2026: Well-prepared dishes. Service inadequate for the restaurant's level. Excessively long waits. Little attention paid to tables. The wine list, mostly French, is excellent, and obviously very extensive. A place for those who don't care about prices. Not for everyone. The clientele is very particular. Unfortunately, we've had to deal with some unpleasant comments due to excessive wine and a certain provincialism. Not exactly a place to return to, despite the high prices. Not recommended.

22/02/2026: Visited Milan from the UK and was on the hunt for good shisha, found this spot and was very impressed with it, just 20 minutes walking distance from Milan Duomo. Shisha was perfectly made, ordered our shisha and it was on our table within 10 seconds, strong and sapid. Music and interior was lovely. The lady at the counter was the only one who could speak English and she was amazing, very attentive and made our shisha experience 10/10, spent about £15-20 for shisha and Moroccan tea, very affordable! Returning to Milan again this year and will definitely be coming back to this spot.

26/12/2025: Very good kebab menu, the best in Voghera by now. Too bad about the parcels; when placed in the Styrofoam chip container, they melted with the plastic. Unfortunately, I didn't eat them because they tasted like non-organic polymers. This is disgusting. I recommend using aluminum foil so you don't risk the heat!

08/03/2026: The food is very good, but it's a shame they literally take your dishes away before you've finished. It wasn't a mistake with a single dish, but rather their standard practice, as it happened with both appetizers and pizzas. Furthermore, when we booked the first sitting at 7:30 PM, we were well aware that we would have to vacate the table for the second sitting. The waiter arrived at 8:50 PM asking if we wanted dessert. We asked to wait 5 minutes, having just finished our pizza, and he rudely told us that he had to prepare the table for 9:15 PM, so we should get a move on. Obviously, dessert wasn't served. The waiters seem very anxious about managing the two sittings. I recommend postponing the second sitting because it was truly unpleasant.

08/03/2026: The pizzas and fried foods were very good. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was overall pleasant. The only major negative was the rather expensive bill for four pizzas and three mixed fried foods.

18/03/2026: Now my sole wine supplier (if I'm going to drink well!)! They're very knowledgeable and friendly, and have a selection of natural wines that aren't extreme, with some truly remarkable gems. They're small wineries with strictly artisanal production, but without exaggerating what's now much more of a fad than a skill, and they have that skill. I really like their ability to rotate through different wineries quickly, so I always have a diverse selection. I personally find the selection of unique native grape varieties, especially from Emilia Romagna, very enjoyable.

10/02/2026: Super place, not only well-explained wines but also delicious food (even vegetarian), with both classic and original recipes... finally, truly excellent value for money!
