19/07/2025: A very nice place. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

16/07/2025: You might think of a trattoria as a place to eat and feel good, with homemade food and generous portions... This trattoria was supposed to be a 5-star Michelin restaurant, with no menu, just a QR code. The menu was truly meager... Portions small enough for children, everything very salty. Inside, it was incredibly hot. No carafe wines, everything bottled, and everything was overpriced, in my opinion, for a trattoria. The waiter was a bit rude; he seemed to be bothering us, and he complained that we asked for different dishes; he wished we'd all asked for the same thing. In the end, we all left feeling very disappointed. Believe me, in an area like Sotto Ripa, you get the same dishes for half the price.

Finding ourselves in Genoa, Porto Antico area, I see these lights from afar that catch my attention, tables outside and large umbrellas to protect from the humidity. We approach and a boy welcomes us, but also a Lady (I later discover she is the owner), I ask both of them if, in addition to fish, they also did meat for my husband. They answer yes, yes. We sit down...... Friendliness, efficient service, requests fulfilled. WE ORDER...... I decide on a mussel soup and ask if they were fresh, since coming from the wonderful Sicily, I know fresh fish very well, and Mrs. Maria assures me that they are very fresh. I "mussel soup", my husband "trofie with Genoese pesto". What can I say, everything is VERY GOOD and VERY FRESH. Loving fish, I decide to take the "roasted prawns" my husband instead a salad. What can I say, excellent prawns, but the TOP thing was receiving them already shelled and with the signature "MARIA". Truly a beautiful thought, which makes you really love the desire to have lunch in these typical local trattorias, where simplicity, cordiality, availability, reign supreme. What can I say, we had a great dinner, excellent food, the owner very kind, GENOA a discovery, a beautiful discovery. We will return to visit you Mrs. Maria even for a simple plate of pasta, but at the same time, we await you in this wonderful land, called SICILY. ❤️

12/07/2025: Finally, seafood dishes with the aroma of the sea. I really appreciated the freshness of the ingredients, cooked with purity. A casual yet pleasant location with efficient service. We'll be back!!

27/07/2025: One of the best croissants I've ever had. If they really do everything, they deserve congratulations. Everything is fresh and good quality, but they only make the classic flavors. There aren't many seats, so it's a bit cramped. The cashier took the money and then brought out the food, so they could improve hygiene as well.

It offers high quality pastries, a beautiful external display case in wood and marble with a taste of yesteryear. I tried an aperitif: a really well-made Campari Spritz, accompanied by toast split in two and chips, that alone would have been enough. Instead, two types of freshly sliced ​​cheese and cured meats and two slices of a spectacular homemade pizza also arrive. All for 7 euros with outdoor table service included!!! Not bad. Well done. 03/06/2025: Un ambiente molto curato sia l'interno sia l'esterno. Materie prime di alta qualità, piatti per celiaci e consigli per altri tipi di intolleranze. Noi abbiamo preso un tagliere x 2 dello chef, tagliata di manzo con rucola e grana, tagliata scottona con fonduta di pecorino e cipolle caramellate, semifreddo in conclusione. Belle porzioni e tutto divino. Prosecco ed entree, offerto da loro. Qualità, prezzo ottimi. Lo sconto the folk è stato applicato correttamente, ma noi ci ritorneremo a prescindere. Ne vale la pena!!!

06/08/2025: We had a rather disappointing experience at Baciollo Bar Restaurant. The service was quite poor — the waiter was not friendly at all and seemed uninterested in helping. The staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed, even though we only went for a light afternoon snack and drinks. Our order took a surprisingly long time to arrive, considering it was just a few drinks and a snack. One of the drinks was forgotten, and when we politely asked for it, the response was unprofessional and rude — we were told we had to wait longer, with no apology. As for the items we did get: the Spritz Aperol was good, Spritz Campari was okay, and the toast was very average. Overall, definitely not worth the wait or the attitude. Wouldn’t recommend based on our experience.
