03/11/2025: I've been coming to this place for years, but recently the pastry business has seen a sharp decline. The morning brioche with berries is always empty and dry. Prices have unfortunately gone up everywhere, but at the same time the quality has declined. New staff, huh?

28/03/2026: I often went to this store with my (young) children because the ice cream was "good." But I found them lacking in friendliness and honesty. It depends on who you're with. I've always ordered a cone or cup, specifying that they're for a 1-year-old child, and therefore asking for a smaller one. Sometimes, someone with common sense and integrity charges me €1.50 (also because the quantity is small!), while often... €3 even if the cup is flat or half-full. The last time I specified a baby size several times, and at the cashier they asked for confirmation of the quantity and even replied, "Yes, I made it smaller for you, but the cost is still €3!"... basically, €12 for a regular two-flavor cone and three half-empty baby cups. Not quite there.

01/03/2026: Yesterday at lunch, we politely asked if they had a table for three. We were invited to sit inside, and they very calmly took our order. After 40 minutes, we asked the waiter present for information about our dishes, but he barely responded, or rather, I quote, "What do I know?" and didn't ask the kitchen for information. After another 10 minutes, 50 in total, we asked a lady who kindly responded and this time informed the kitchen, amidst the din coming from the fully open and visible kitchen, about our order. We were informed that our order had never been sent to the kitchen, with the mistake being explained by the presence of Rai staff. I should point out that there were about 10 people in total besides us, all of whom had already been served. The lady apologized and offered a solution, which we didn't accept due to imminent commitments. The waiter present (who took our order) didn't even look at us and, with a satisfied expression, continued doing his job. According to the lady I quoted, "Thank goodness you asked," I understand that no one would have given us any news, even though the place was almost empty. Treated by the gentleman present as if we were unworthy of being served by him, I thank you for the public humiliation, enjoy your gold tokens xD.

The retro atmosphere is the real added value: period furnishings, soft lighting, and a welcome reminiscent of the warm and authentic atmosphere of yesteryear. Sitting down at a table here is like taking a little journey into the past, relaxing and delightful. The cuisine is refined, sincere, and well-executed, with balanced flavors and quality ingredients that are appreciated from the first bite. Each dish is presented with elegance and respect for tradition, without unnecessary modern constraints. A special mention goes to the service, perfectly embodied by Mr. Antonio: a true man of integrity, professional, discreet, and impeccable in his manners. His presence gives character to the dining room, with that slightly old-fashioned grace that is increasingly rare today and that decisively contributes to the restaurant's charm. If there's one small point for improvement, it's the portions that aren't particularly generous... but this detail easily fades into the background when compared to the overall experience. In fact, it almost leaves you wanting to return to try something else on the menu. An ideal place for those seeking atmosphere, flavor, and authenticity, perfect for a quiet evening of good food and old-world charm. Highly recommended.

27/08/2025: The bar is located in a lovely covered, shaded area with a few tables outside. Directly behind it is the impressive Baroque church and charming alleyways. Drinks and snacks (caprese, paninis, focaccia) are available. Very friendly service. Parking is available in a lot a little further on at the entrance to the village. A lovely place; a little further on in Lecchiore, you can reach river pools in 20 minutes, where you can swim in the ice-cold water.

07/03/2026: Passing through Sanremo for the weekend, this restaurant came highly recommended. And we weren't disappointed! 🤩 First of all, the service was impeccable: incredibly kind and professional throughout the entire meal. The beautiful setting and cozy atmosphere were perfect for us. The food also lived up to the enchanting surroundings: everything was fresh and homemade. Thank you to the whole team for this wonderful experience! 🙌

26/01/2026: We entered, drawn by the 4.4 Google rating, but our first impression was immediately negative: the room was deserted and the atmosphere dull, which should have been concerning. The decor is decidedly dated and ugly, with those red and black rose-patterned tiles that make the space heavy and unwelcoming. As for the food, we were completely disappointed. The prices for the appetizers are very high, which is unjustifiable given the quality. We ate frozen fish and flavorless first courses. The menu is too extensive: there are too many dishes on the menu, and the quality suffers significantly. It's much better to offer a few well-made dishes than thirty poorly executed ones. Paying €40 per person for this experience is a real shame. It seems the chef has lost his passion for good food. A restyling of the restaurant and a thorough overhaul of the menu are absolutely necessary. Not recommended. ————- His response is as childish as it is revealing. You confuse hunger with enjoyment: we finished the (mediocre) ravioli simply because we were hungry, but the tagliolini were left there precisely because they were inedible. Instead of lashing out at the customers' style or making absurd comparisons to France, you should ask yourself why a "historic" establishment serves frozen fish and tasteless dishes. Attacking guests' clothing is the last resort of those who no longer know how to cook. Best regards to you and your rudeness.

15/01/2026: Bro, this place is absolutely amazing. We arrived 15 minutes before closing time and got a platter of baked goods and a few bags of chips for free with our drinks. They probably only gave out the food because it would otherwise be thrown away, but still, it was fantastic.

27/10/2025: Ely has been our "pizza night" place for years and we really enjoy it. Occasionally we have other things and this year we had one of their pasta daily specials, a ravioli perhaps with truffle and burrata (sorry it was 1 1/2 months ago)……omg, it was so amazing. Though it is no longer on the menu, we also appreciated them making the mussels in white wine and lemon.

17/01/2026: I recently moved to Ventimiglia and tried aperitivo at a few bars along the promenade. Ultimately, I can say that MadMan is the one where the friendly staff, perfectly crafted cocktails, and the pampering, achieved through delicious tastings, make this one of the best places in Ventimiglia, but unfortunately it's underrated.

22/12/2025: Everything was perfect: a quality menu, a clean and tidy environment, attention to detail, a friendly, knowledgeable staff, attentive to customer needs, and fast, precise service.
