18/11/2025: Truly a great place! Lovely location in the main square and a super friendly stuff that spoke very good english. We had a coffee, sandwitches, orange juice and some sweets. Everything was fresh and super tasty, especially the wild strawberry tarte. It’s definitely the best place in Castel Gandolfo for a breakfast or a coffee.
07/11/2025: Tourist trap. Hard croissants (€2) that look like they've been left over for days. Cappuccino €2.50. Coffee €2.
Not to mention the sfogliatella is even worse than the croissants at €3.50.
If you go here, you're paying for the place rather than the product. I don't mind paying these prices, but I at least expect the croissants to be good. I wouldn't go back.

We loved our experience at Ristorante Bistro Da Luca! The food was really, really good – authentic Italian with an incredible amount of taste. Every bite felt like a taste journey through Italy.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We felt really welcome.
The prices are also reasonable for the high quality of the food. My wife and I were both very satisfied and will definitely come back the next time we are in Italy. Highly recommended!

20/09/2025: Bar La Fontana offers classic Italian breakfasts in the morning, including pastries, coffee, latte, cappuccino, and more. From late afternoon until evening, it offers a wide selection of wines, gins, beers (also on tap during certain periods), and other highly sought-after spirits.
When possible, bartender Francesco organizes outdoor music events, as the bar overlooks Piazza Mazzini, where there are plenty of tables for al fresco dining. For winter evenings, there's a warm and welcoming indoor dining room.
During the Easter and Christmas holidays, gift packages are organized with a wide selection of top-quality products.
Highly recommended.

07/11/2025: The staff is horrendous, and the place is full of flies. The bathrooms are filthy, and the place is filthy. The staff is rude and exhausted! If I could, I'd give it 0 stars.
19/10/2025: Chaotic atmosphere. Bars typically charge differently for service at the counter and table. Here, you have to pick up your food at the counter, bring it to your table, which no one has cleaned, and then pay as if you had actually been served.

10/11/2025: At Gran Caffè dei Villini, I always feel a little at home. The smell of freshly brewed coffee, warm croissants, and the smiles of those working behind the counter make mornings lighter. There's a simple, genuine atmosphere, one that sometimes seems hard to find in Rome.
The service is fast, but never rushed, and you can sense the care they give to each customer, even those who pop in for a quick espresso. It's one of those places you'll want to return to, not just for the good coffee, but for the sense of familiarity it leaves you with.
18/10/2025: Today I went for a coffee in a glass and a chocolate croissant. You were lucky, I was in a hurry, otherwise I would have brought another 10 croissants 😅
Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent. I'll definitely be back.

01/07/2025: Very nice place in Trastevere on the Gianicolo side. Place with a wide selection of beers. Inside there are table footballs that can be used. Outside there are no seats but it always fills up with people leaning on the wall. Very nice and recommended!

06/12/2025: Unsatisfying. Dry-crusted pastries, perhaps old. 6 pastries for €20, terrible value for money. Unfortunately, they're no longer the sweets they were when I was a child; they were all delicious once upon a time. I was disappointed.
04/12/2025: A pastry shop famous only for its name... a scandal, 6 euros, a Camilla that tasted of nothing... a Gabriella that seemed reheated and tasted only of egg... a mess at the counter... NEVER AGAIN VERY EXPENSIVE WITH LOW QUALITY

10/11/2025: The bartender and owner refused to serve me at my table even though I paid the extra fee. I will never return.
20/10/2025: DO NOT EAT HERE. I ordered three panini to go and spent €21.40. Each panini had barely any ingredients inside. The bread was toasted so much it turned hard and dry, making it impossible to even bite and the meat in one of them smelled bad like it's been sitting out all week. Since all three were terrible, it’s obvious they care more about making money than serving edible food. Very disappointing and definitely not worth the money. I highly do not recommend.

31/08/2025: I've been there several times and always had a good experience, but on my most recent visit (August 2025), unfortunately, the evening was quite disappointing: there were eight of us and we ate practically as if we were two separate groups, as we were served in batches, and that alone would be enough for a negative review.
Furthermore, the pizzas were all burned on one side, a sign that they were never turned once in the oven.
And the drizzle of oil at the end was missing, which isn't a quirk, but an ingredient.
Very bad, then; I hope things improve.
