25/02/2024: Il vero pub, senza inutili fronzoli e senza fumo negli occhi. Birre di qualità, partite trasmesse su quattro schermi e atmosfera amichevole resa addirittura familiare dalla simpatia di Mauro. Non credo esista a Roma un locale più in linea con la filosofia originaria del pub inglese.

23/07/2024: Finally a nice bar that we could define as "of the past"...simple and without many frills but with a lot of substance!!! The products are excellent and always fresh, now Sunday ice cream, an excellent ice cream, has become an indispensable routine! The staff, both the owner and the guys who serve, always smiling and helpful...a special thanks to the girl who waits at the tables, always kind and polite, well done!!!

01/07/2024: This fish-only restaurant is located in the nightlife area, called TESTACCIO, in the heart of Rome near the Tiber. Having a celiac wife, I'm always looking for somewhere new. When we have to book we say to ourselves: is an old and well-known restaurant better or should we try and take a risk with a new one? This place was a pleasant surprise. I tasted right here, for the first time, spaghetti with sea urchin pulp (my passion that I share with Inspector Montalbano), strictly fresh (they have them sent from Sicily). A very valid alternative is the Fisherman's Pan with fresh pasta and a rich mix of fish. The appetizers are all good, cooked for me and raw for those who love them 😁 to conclude you have to find a little space in your tummy to taste the various types of ORIGINAL APULIAN PASTICCIOTTI. 27/06/2024: Preso un giorno birre Corona scadute, fatto notare me le hanno cambiate. Un’altro giorno abbiamo rischiato una intossicazione alimentare con 4 pasticciotti alla crema con la muffa. Riportati al bar alcuni pezzi neanche mi hanno rimborsato. Schifo.

13/07/2024: Terrible, absurd rudeness and rudeness... Rude rudeness, in short, not exactly the right name for this place... We were completely chased away by the glass holder who told us that he needed chairs... We comfortably got up and went go... Upon payment they made us pay not only the ginseng but also three glasses of still water with three ice cubes.... absurd €0.30 each.... Not even in Rome in Rome do they give you sparkling water without paying...but it's not for the €0.90 it's on principle.... Water is not denied to anyone!!! I'm speechless, a shame.... really terrible...

23/08/2024: We had a really fun evening at Avalon. We thought that the drinks were reasonably priced (and it's the only place we have found in Rome which does cider). We had the Antipasto del Guerriero as a starter and were pleasantly surprised as it was different to anything else we've had in Rome and the serving reminded us of an afternoon tea platter, but the platter is a sword. We had La Spada del primo Cavaliere as our main and enjoyed this too (also served on a sword). They also had pizza etc so not all super themed. We ate outside due to the heat but the inside of the restaurant was very on theme and also seemed to have themed costumes/activities. They also had medieval themed jewellery etc available to purchase. All round a good experience and would love to go back to experience the full atmosphere inside the restaurant.

15/07/2024: Absolutely no idea what the bad reviews are talking about as the bar owners are some of the only nice & inviting people for tourists in the area. This is a family owned bar with fair prices, the owner Chris was so inviting and friendly! We made this our regular spot to stop for drinks as the conversation was great and we were recommended things to do in the area. The bar is closed on Mondays but open every other day. As a tourist it was honestly very rare to find places where we felt welcome and Chris was amazing for this! If I were to return, this would be my first stop in Rome.

16/08/2024: Sono stata con mia madre a festeggiare Ferragosto a cena e devo dire che è stato tutto impeccabile… l’antipasto misto cotti e crudi di Gastone è davvero eccezionale… Lo stesso vale per il polpo alla brace su un purè di patate, tenerissimo! Accolti con un bicchiere di prosecco e delle patatine fritte fatte da loro a sfoglia… rapporto qualità/prezzo corrispondente…. lo consiglio sicuramente

09/08/2024: Very nice and welcoming bar! I went this morning to get a bottle of water! Friendly staff, we'll be back :-) convenient because it's very close to the Tiburtina metro station ;-)

31/07/2024: This was our first time in the city and the first time we dined here. The restaurant doesn’t have an English menu 😁 The staff were very friendly and tried to explain the menu 😆 Half English, half Italian. It went well. The food was delicious and the cocktails were excellent.

18/05/2024: Tonight Saturday 18th at 11.30pm inside the club there was a group of boys, two very polite boys came by to sell roses, this group of boys feeling strong from the dynamics of the pack they belong to started shouting at the boy with very racist phrases. The disgust was on the part of the waitress, a girl with red hair who, instead of managing the situation correctly and taking back the group of animals, added herself to the herd as if that wasn't enough to humiliate that poor boy who left in silence after having right away. Let me start by saying that the boy also stopped by our house and never insisted. Racist and uncivilized customers I can understand but the waitress who stimulates racism and violence says a lot about the selection of staff and the politics of the place.
