09/03/2025: Restaurant agréable, cadre sympa en sous-sol , petite musique ambiance 80. Personnel convivial et sympathique (Ca apporte un plus !). Côté nourriture , belles assiettes au niveau quantité et bonne au niveau qualité. Nous avons pris un rizotto de fruit de mer et des pâtes carbonara. Le prix est tout à fait correct.

08/03/2025: Bad experience this morning, I hope it's not the owner: the person in charge of the cash register was incredibly rude, I went in to get a coffee (I also had to buy metro tickets) anyway the person as soon as he saw the 20 euro banknote rudely told me he didn't have change in a few words he almost cursed at me, he didn't give me time to say that I could pay with a debit card, I will never enter this bar again, I know I'm a grain of sand in the desert but that's okay

28/12/2024: Great pub! Their flagship are the beers: all artisanal and made by them. Detailed and very, very good. Calm and friendly staff. The choice of food is good and does its job: filling your belly so you can keep drinking beer! The burgers especially I found them all very good - to the point that I would recommend the place to reduce the other food choices to focus on a list of dishes that they are guaranteed to do to perfection.

19/04/2025: A nice little boost (boost, but since we’re next to the bus station, it was a play on words… haha ​​I’m so funny). This coffee is nice, with caffeine available of all kinds. The pastries are on par with a station café (neither too bad nor top quality), and the service, on the other hand... well, the staff is nice but not too smiling, too bad... it was my first human contact in Rome. In any case, it helps out well and is practical due to its proximity to the bus station.

26/05/2025: The place itself is not bad, clean and young atmosphere. Very polite guys. But decidedly disappointing aperitifs. €10 for what should have been a Negroni, but was a glass full of ice with a few centiliters of soft drink. I had chosen the Negroni, since the Spritz had previously not convinced me much (straw yellow color and a quintal of ice). I'm sorry but I will not return. Update following response: so in the end the problem is the customer, who is not only evidently used to low-level dives, but who is so 'cheap' that he does not know that in classy places, alcoholic cocktails contain little alcohol and a lot of ice... A poor guy, basically. Well, thank you very much, nice way to treat dissatisfied customers... Another thing: the argument "if he had complained, we could have fixed it" does not hold up: 1) it encourages customers to complain and send veiled threats even when it goes well to extract something more. As in fact often happens in hotels. 2) but what does it mean? That one does his job well only if people complain? And that therefore I can allow myself to serve dishes/drinks that are not suitable, because then if someone complains, I will fix it?

26/05/2025: Poor aperitif (just a half-empty bowl of chips for two people), non-existent and slow service, high prices for the area, the service and the prices. I do not recommend. — In response to the owner: We came on Thursday and no, no discount was applied. It is a shame that we are no longer able to make customer feedback constructive: people immediately get offended and throw everything into a mess... If the slowness of the service is objected, it could be useful to speed it up instead of everyone standing at the door happily smoking without serving the waiting customers. You are certainly right in saying that the price of what you sell is determined not only by the area, but also by quality and availability. So I am curious: what brand are those 4 tasteless chips you brought us and where do you get them from? And where do you get the precious ingredients for a spritz? If you explained all this, I am sure that customers would be able to fully understand the modest nature of the aperitifs.

26/04/2025: Con il movimento che c'è nella capitale in questi giorni non si può mica pretendere dagli esercenti un servizio veloce e nemmeno in buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Però uno scontrino almeno... La poverina piazzata a recitare, non senza imbarazzo, questa triste scenetta mi dice: " mi dispiace, il registratore di cassa è fuori uso". "Che sfortuna" dico io " proprio oggi con tutti questi clienti ... vabè, posso pagare con carta?" Lei mi dice:" No, anche il pos è fuori uso". E allora è veramente sfortuna! Ho pensato che stavano rischiando di prendere una bella multa e che forse era il caso di avvisare chi di dovere che non si trattava di evasione fiscale ma solo di una serie di sfortunati inconvenienti tecnici. Di sicuro saranno comprensivi.

21/02/2025: I can't put any stars as in the end I left immediately. As soon as I entered the pub (just opened for the evening) with a 3 month old baby, I found a boy at the counter with a lit cigarette and the barman chatting. We wanted to grab a quick bite to eat and then leave early, so unfortunately for me it wasn't a nice welcome.

06/02/2025: First time at dinner thanks to the match and a friend, wonderful carbonara, among the best I've ever eaten in 11 years in Rome! Wonderful mister, welcoming person inside a pure British style pub! In short, a new point of reference

03/05/2025: I frequent the place when I come on holiday to Fondi for the sole reason that my friends frequent it. I think the place is very overrated and it's a trend to go there. I don't see it as very hygienic, tables and chairs are always dirty, very inattentive staff without an organized line which means that the service is terrible. good desserts but really mediocre food.

I went to this historic and well-stocked shop and I found a big difference between the very smart guy at the counter and the lazy and uncaring bald elderly man of his colleague. Patanegra was recommended as top, very good and exceptionally sweet veal. As I said at the beginning, make way for young people who make the difference (if older people don't like it, they can retire)

15/04/2025: In the last two months I have been to Ercoli 3 times, so I have had the opportunity to try different dishes from the menu. I fell so much in love with this little place, a very famous wine shop and delicatessen in Rome. The internal room envelops you with all the wines around and makes you relax immediately. The prices are a little high, but the quality of the meats and cheeses is really high. The first courses were also excellent, but unfortunately the last time I tried the hamburger and it was rather disappointing. At the price of €35, I was expecting something Gourmet, but everything was wrong, the meat was not cooked as I wanted it to be medium, but it arrived well cooked. Poor quality bread, cold cherry tomatoes, and everything else, i.e. robiola and chestnut leaves, nothing special. All poorly assembled, and also rather cold. In short, we're not there, I hope that this criticism of mine helps to improve the dish, because Ercoli is truly a place of my heart now and I know that you can do more!

23/04/2025: Pranzo con mia madre. Polpette di melanzane e ricotta con sugo in salsa. Buone. Cicoria patate al forno molto buone. Tutto senza glutine incluso pane. Un acqua frizzante. + Caffè. A pranzo almeno quel giorno non era per niente frequentato. La ragazza che c ha preso l'ordine gentile. Il conto di 42 euro secondo noi un po' salato , ma tutto sommato abbiamo trascorso un pranzo rilassante e spensierato.

03/02/2025: Classico ristorante da Tiktoker/foodblogger. Cibo mediocre, l’idea è buona ma realizzata male. Alcuni piatti buoni, altri pessimi tipo i dolci…. Bastonata nel conto, 96€ per una cena per niente all’altezza delle molteplici recensioni incoerenti. Per un’ottima cena spenderei anche il doppio, basta che non mi venga tolto dal tavolo senza richiesta il pane pensando stessimo al dolce, oppure non mi venga tolto il caffè dal conto dopo che il cameriere ha capito male quanti ne volevamo. Tiramisù pari al mochi giapponese. L’ho masticato 10 min… È così semplice creare un piatto genuino e classico, ve dovete rovina facendo gli splendidi. Altamente sconsigliato.
