02/05/2026: A classic restaurant with excellent seafood and a superb wine list. The creamy scampi risotto deserves a special mention. Overall, the service was attentive and fast, and the desserts we tried also lived up to expectations: the chocolate truffle and Lancusi's frozen fruttini were excellent.
Highly recommended.
04/04/2026: This is our favorite restaurants in Rome. The food has been consistently excellent over the years: Fresh seafood. Wonderful wine selection. Amazing staff.

04/11/2025: Delicious pastries for 40 years.
A few years after my previous review, I must unfortunately note that the mini pastries are no longer what they used to be. I've bought them a few times, and even if I eat them no more than three hours later, having kept them in the refrigerator, they're already gone, with flabby pastry and cream or almost sour cream. You can't sell old pastries, because it's not just a question of money, but because it takes away a joy you wanted to bring home to celebrate. Not Schettino, at least the old one. After 40 years, I'm forced to change pastry shops.
26/10/2025: We sit at the table, convinced that, like in all bars in Rome, there's table service, a waitress next to us chats with some customers. We wait, 15 minutes. She doesn't even look up, just keeps going about her business, as if she were paid to talk about hair color and vacations. Finally, I get up and ask if there's table service, since other people had been served while we hadn't. She replies, "If you want table service, come in and order it." This place used to be a beautiful bar,
now, besides being old and sad, it's also run by people who have no customer service whatsoever. Well, move on.

02/03/2026: It's not the first time we've been to this place. But last dinner really amazed us. We ordered two appetizers and then a salt-cooked sea bass for two. When the sea bass was ready, the waiter showed it to us but then went off to clean it in the kitchen, and when he brought our plates, there were two tiny pieces of sea bass. There wasn't even the part with the large bones. As if they served us half the fish! In the end, when the bill arrived, the sea bass cost a whopping €90, too bad we ate it for €30. We left hungry! And €175 for two without wine! Never again!
16/02/2026: A seafood restaurant with a good selection of ingredients (medium and large sea fish); however, the cuisine leaves something to be desired, as the fish isn't always prepared to order. The first courses are the restaurant's signature dish; I recommend the spaghetti with sea urchins. The wine list is extensive, but the bottles are marked up higher than average. The atmosphere is traditional, but the downside is poor ventilation (the dining room has a strong fishy odor).

14/02/2026: Terrible personal experience, not at all suitable. The moment you ask them something, they disappear and wander around other tables. The kitchen doesn't know the difference between bacon and stew, which is very serious when you put dishes on the menu with bacon. We're talking about pizza: a Margherita and a Diavola. 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting, and we're talking about simple pizzas, not complicated ones or anything.
I repeat: TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The only thing that stands out is the owner, a wonderful person, who has nothing left to do but support Juventus. 😂

Excellent bread made with flour from mills that grind ancient and traceable Italian grains using stone and cylinder mills. A wide daily selection for all meals (including breakfast).
The pan pizzas are good (though not a huge selection). The Passata della Pizza Rossa (and the dough, of course) are excellent.
Prices are in line with, or slightly lower than, similar micro-ovens.
A true excellence in Rome.

11/04/2026: Nice and cozy place, but you can't wait an hour for a sandwich. We also ordered a portion of fries and a baked potato, which, for some reason, they brought straight away as an appetizer instead of a side. We had to ask for cutlery ourselves (baked potatoes, no way). The prices are too high for the quality and the poor service.
28/03/2026: Beers you won't find in regular pubs. Nicoletta ensures excellent table service. The owner is always ready to offer advice on the best beer to complement your meal. Highly recommended.

30/03/2026: Excellent, classic, historic venue... Excellent breakfast products... Wide selection of well-made pastries, although sometimes the dough is slightly undercooked...
Fast, expert service.... Although it's never happened to me before that while I was at the counter to have a cappuccino, the counter assistant suddenly moved my cappuccino to make room for other customers.... I understand you want to serve regulars (a lot), but it was unprofessional to see them take my cappuccino halfway and move it.... Needless to say, I was doing my own thing because I'm usually very quick to order just to make room for others.
So 1 star 🌟 for the counter assistant.
30/03/2026: Everything is good but ... The waiter at the counter doesn't use gloves and the orange juice is made with store-bought orange juice mixed with the juice of an orange.
