06/01/2026: I only went into the restaurant to ask for information and confirmation about the menu, as I had already looked it up online. Contrary to what is written on their menu, they do NOT serve gluten-free sandwiches, piadinas, or bruschetta. This was disappointing, given that I had found the restaurant listed on a gluten-free restaurant website. So, no one with celiac disease can eat here!

25/11/2025: Felt like we stepped into England. Lots of locals were there watching a sport on TV. Our server was fantastic. My sister said that the hot dogs were really good. Good vibes, fun environment.

01/03/2026: I ordered a buffet for ten people and ended up with two, and I mean two, trays. Not even a pizza each. Truly meager considering how much I ended up paying for it and how much my guests starved.

24/07/2025: I came in on the morning of July 23, 2023, after a twenty-year absence. I had a full breakfast. I found a simple atmosphere and fresh pastries. The cured meats are unusual and not my cup of tea. I assume the manager speaks English. Tables are outside.

07/03/2026: We visited Violella restaurant and were very satisfied. The place is welcoming, spacious, and has a family atmosphere. The menu is varied: it features traditional Emilian dishes, fish, and pizza, all carefully prepared. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is evident. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the service was prompt. The value for money is also excellent. A restaurant I recommend to anyone looking for good food in the Reggio Emilia area. We'll definitely be back!

11/02/2026: My aunt, who is over 85, asked me to write this review for her. She visited the restaurant a few months ago and had the best cappelletti she's ever eaten. They reminded her of the ones she used to eat as a child. The broth was excellent, too. She also gave 5 stars for the service and the truly beautiful, clean, and tidy location.

Possibility of sitting down for a hot chocolate or an aperitif, or for lunch, since there are ready meals, fresh, for example: cutlet and vegetables or roast beef and side dish. Dehors for being outdoors and for smokers.

It’s the kind of authentic Italian pastry shop where you stop for a quick coffee and end up staying longer because the atmosphere is so welcoming. I had a coffee and a few pastries, and everything was fresh and delicious. The display is full of beautiful cakes and traditional Italian sweets – from cream-filled pastries to classic desserts. You can really feel the tradition and passion behind the products. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the place has that genuine neighborhood bar feeling where locals come for their daily coffee and breakfast. If you are in Bologna and want a good coffee and authentic Italian pastries, this is definitely a place worth stopping by. ☕🥐

22/02/2026: I'm writing even though I've known Marco for a few years now, but tonight I want to compliment the entire staff. Excellent ingredients, we ate a bit of everything (really good), reasonable prices, and the beer was delicious. It's a half-hour drive, but it's worth it! Well done!
