16/11/2025: Beyond the route to get to the place, which we found thanks to the navigator, otherwise we would have had to leave... not easy to access, narrow for those arriving by car... oh well, first obstacle overcome! We manage to reach the tavern and here everything is fine, a nice little place, modest but welcoming with a nice fireplace (occupied there in front by a single table) which practically took away the joy of a faint warmth when dining in such a humid place, in practice they were the only ones warm, obviously being in buried stone at a certain point the customers begin to get cold, for an appetizer with 2 bruschetta requested in a certain way and arrived in another, aside from the inconvenience, from 8.45pm to 10pm only a mignon crocche and a very thin slice of bread, mignon, with mignon cherry tomatoes.. for all of this more than an hour.. meanwhile the wine was running low.. without bread at the table, without a good reason to justify all that time given that we were 12 people at the tables! Despite this... we wait with the knowledge that the evening will go like this... (badly) at around 11:00 pm the first courses arrive... bucatini with (rabbit sauce) or in our opinion, with the oily smell of rabbit. Because there wasn't even the smell of rabbit there, pasta too undercooked for us, but this is subjective, insipid and flavorless. Let's move on to the other first course... scialiatielli with pumpkin, sausage and speck. The waiter didn't specify that the pumpkin was from Mantua, but anyway: the pasta was stuck together, just glue, not bound by a creamy sauce... but dry and flavourless... except for the mini sausage inside... that was tasty, but not good, the dish was disappointing, here too only the smell of the pumpkin... Let's move on to the second course: half and I repeat half a mini rabbit (booked by phone in the afternoon). Meanwhile, it's 11:45 pm... we try these 4 bones... among other things, the liver is missing, and we decide to stay there... because it didn't even have a name from Ischia and I specify that my wife, not eating it, something really wasn't right. The side dishes ordered arrive: courgettes, aubergines, pumpkin and a sautéed mushroom sauce (15 euros!)... but they aren't the ones we asked for... since we get some hard fennel that we didn't like... we ask the Waiter, and he, in a daze, tells us that he had specified that there were no zucchini and eggplant because they were not in season, (which was not true) and immediately denied by my wife since it was her request accepted... moral? We stay (most of the things). We ask for the bill! And it arrives after another 10 minutes, at our leisure... because everything there is slow. It is brought in a chest with a little note inside 😱 what could it say? Verbatim: Since you didn't like anything, we'll offer you dinner (but please don't come back!!). From there, we ask to speak to the owner, the chef, whoever... it's not normal to attack customers like this... just because the food and service were mediocre, if not poor. If you're not humble enough to accept criticism from people like you who do this job, then it means it's not for you... as evidenced by your lack of passion for doing things. We almost got kicked, with one of the employees intimidatingly asking us to leave... and despite all this, they didn't want the money... yet they accepted the €100 without even having eaten dinner! We went hoping for a pleasant experience, enticed by the super-positive reviews and photos on TripAdvisor... which in our opinion are untrue. We invite you to go so that everyone can have their own experience and draw their own conclusions, which in our opinion are unfavorable. Many greetings and a never again to CHEF SARA

29/11/2025: I often go to that place, but I decided to order home delivery but I think they want to lose people.. because I asked for delivery and only one person only a sandwich they said that I have to wait until 8/9 pm (it was 6) if I wanted to order quickly I have to use Glovo but not everyone knows how to use it and then I preferred their sandwich from now on they have lost a regular customer

21/09/2025: What was that even? After 30 minutes, I had stomach cramps and was desperately looking for the nearest toilet. My girlfriend had to sit down and wait out her abdominal pain. I barely made it home without a disaster in my pants. The pacherro with squid was inedible, it stuck in your throat. Good thing the wine and bread masked the taste a bit. The location and the owner are the best things you can say about this place—everything else is a mess. We drank the wine and water, and I’m happy to pay for those, but the food? There should be a refund for that. Someone in the kitchen clearly doesn’t care how their work affects the restaurant’s reputation and should take responsibility. It was my first time trying seafood, and I really wanted it to be fresh and tasty so I wouldn’t be put off. As of today, it was my first and last time. Never again, sadly. The owner was very polite, but the food—something’s definitely off in the kitchen.

17/09/2025: A few steps from the "Arenella" cove, this small hotel features a charming sea-view terrace. Breakfast is classic, with a few small treats (the homemade yogurt is truly excellent). We didn't have dinner there, but there's a restaurant. Economy room was below expectations, a bit too small and poorly furnished, and the double bed was small. Attentive and friendly staff.

08/12/2025: Last Saturday, we had pizza dinner for 12, with a €20 menu and unlimited drinks, including one GLUTEN-FREE option. We'd already celebrated there several times, and we've always had a great time, so we chose it again for that evening. The menu, which included a fried appetizer, a choice of pizzas, and unlimited drinks, was excellent, plentiful, and of good quality. Unfortunately, there was a glitch. When the appetizers arrived, the gluten-free option was also delivered correctly. However, when it came to the pizzas, due to a communication error, a GLUTEN-FREE pizza was delivered to the person with celiac disease, who started eating it. We didn't make a fuss because we understood the mistake, and yet, when the maître d' was delivering the correct gluten-free pizza, he approached us with such arrogance and presumption, accusing the celiac customer of not paying enough attention to his pizza, as if it were his fault and he should have realized it was the wrong pizza. This unpleasant misunderstanding would have been resolved amicably if only the maître d' hadn't behaved so rudely, addressing us so rudely. Mistakes are human, especially during busy times, but we need to be very careful about food intolerances and have better communication among staff when dealing with unusual situations like this, especially when they're reported at the time of booking. We were disappointed by this behavior and reported the incident to the manager, who, however, acted as if nothing had happened, making the matter seem unimportant. It's a shame, however, that customer health is not something to be trifled with.

24/08/2025: Absolutely nothing! Absolutely nothing. We had a sausage and chips, panna cotto and corn, Margherita, and marinara. All rubbery, boxes full of oil, and mostly burned (not blonde, but that's also the fault of the dough, which uses "flour and more"). I'm truly sorry and hope this review can help, but it's 2025 and they've already raised the prices for pizzas that haven't improved in any way, if not worsened in quality! In 2025, we still can't not have a nice blonde pizza with high-quality floury ingredients, given that you charge so much! So my rating is an absolute 0! There's a lot to improve.

08/03/2026: I had a grilled fish (a plaice?). There were still a lot of bones in the fish. And the price was far too high: 30 euros. That's without the side dishes that are usually charged extra in Italy. The dining room, under a kind of covered terrace, was clean but simple, so the ambiance doesn't justify the high price.

14/02/2026: A definite stop while in Castellabate. It's in the center of town and a great place for either a cappuccino, or an afternoon aperitif!
