What gets me is the constant persistence to rip off the tourists? I am all up for fair prices, but 28€ for two small beers and two small Aperol spritz is not even Majori beach prices and this place is imbedded in the mountains. I won’t go there again and when I like a place I always go back and I am happy to leave money with the locals bars and restaurants. This is just not necessary. Pity it was raining as well, but if the place works for me who cares.
28/09/2025: Very nice place! Friendly staff, great food, nice atmosphere on the townsquare right next to the church. Quiet and not so much tourists. Both locals and tourists who where there.

02/11/2025: This Lido (an overpriced touristtrap) gives the whole of Ascea a bad reputation. The arrogant, out of control and aggressiv behavior of the management is a shame, and one wonders , why the local authorities dont have the balls to do something about it.
21/09/2025: Terrible experience, terrible welcome, and the typical attitude of those who are snobbish. They looked down on us simply because we had a box of pizza, which, considering the time (1:20 PM) and the traffic, we had bought on the street. They sarcastically told us they also make pizza. We moved to the public beach even though we had paid for an umbrella and two lounge chairs.

I hadn't been to this pizzeria in years because I'd noticed in the past that when we came in a group, there was always something added by mistake to the bill... Well, after all these years, the tradition is still there.
Sure, mistakes can happen, but are they always to the detriment of the customer?
Pizza not cooked well.

23/10/2025: A pleasant evening aperitif. The Spritz was good, and the accompanying appetizers weren't the same: the rustici/panzerotti weren't the best, but overall, it was a good experience. The atmosphere was lovely and the welcome was warm.

The waiter was friendly and professional.
The gentleman at the cash register was
brusque and not at all empathetic.
I had an iced coffee.

I'm sure he raised the price because he heard the accent...
Typically, the price is €1.20 or €1.30.
Not even in Milan do they have prices like that. Whoa!!!

14/03/2026: Coffee, coffee, and the receipt? One of the worst bars in Naples with a coffee shop attached. We had to ask for a receipt for a simple coffee, and the next customer didn't get one either. Day 14.2, 3 PM. I wonder where the checks are? And is this the Naples we want to bring to the world? The Naples of Sal Da Vinci, or do we prefer the Naples of theft, tax evasion, and iquos in every public place?

10/03/2026: This pastry shop is located in a very pleasant, tastefully decorated setting, with large windows and both indoor and outdoor parking. It also has outdoor seating for enjoying pastries, coffee, ice cream, and hot and cold drinks on nice days.
Their small pastries are delicious.
Their extended hours on Sundays are also convenient.

26/01/2026: If you want to taste the best taralli sugna e pepe in Naples, you have to go to Chiquitos.
This afternoon I was passing through Mergellina, and before boarding the Grimaldi Napoli Palermo ferry, I had the pleasure of purchasing some taralli at this chalet in Naples.
I've never eaten such good taralli in Naples; they're an explosion of flavor and pleasure.
The owner and his boyfriend are very friendly and easy-going.
I highly recommend this place to everyone; it's definitely worth a try.

09/09/2025: The pasta vongole was excellent, the calamari was fine, but we missed a sauce. The ravioli was tasty but not a very large portion. The server was incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English. All in all, a delicious and pleasant dining experience.
19/08/2025: The restaurant takes the legacy of the old Marenostrum and reimagines it with more contemporary touches, both in the food plating and the table setting. The food is very good, the prices are a bit above average due to the attention to detail and the particularly romantic location, but the portions are significantly smaller than its predecessor. But everything remains very good.
The service is certainly medium-high. Parking is available.
