14/06/2025: Excellent restaurant, good food, very kind owner

12/06/2025: Totally by chance we ended up at this restaurant for lunch this afternoon. It was very quiet, the gentleman was sitting outside on his terrace and looked around. When he noticed us he came to us, the calm and friendliness itself, with advice, clear explanation and attention for us. We had a fantastic lunch, the waitress and the lady herself were also very hospitable and had an eye for us as guests. The portions were large, we were given the leftovers carefully packed to take home. And that in a tourist town, you don't expect it (anymore). A unique meeting and experience that we will always remember with emotion and much pleasure. Thank you dear people of Portolano!!!

22/06/2025: Restaurant discovered thanks to the reviews online. Very kind staff and neat location ... so far so good but with the arrival of the dishes, the story changed .. fish not fresh and first courses completely tasteless .. I was afraid I might feel sick! To make matters worse was the bill .. exorbitant for the quality. Not to be returned.

21/06/2025: This restaurant is all about how things look and that’s about it. The restaurant itself is lovely and the chef plates food beautifully. However, I would not go back or recommend it to anyone. The service was severely lacking and so was the food. We waited an hour to be seated, greeted by our waiter and to finally have olive oil and bread on the table. Thankfully the thoughtful hostess helped us order some drinks before we sat down. Our waiter was kind of arrogant and rarely came to check on us to see how the food was or whether we needed anything. At the very end of the meal after waiting a long time for our check, he decided to give us a free digestive; which was nice, but it didn’t make up for 2 1/2 hours of bad service. Foodwise, we ordered the waygu carpaccio and grilled octopus for appetizer. The grilled octopus itself was good, but it had a creamy potato sauce that was very bland and required a lot of salt and pepper to be decent. The waygu carpaccio was mushy and tasteless so we couldn’t finish it. I ordered the boiled lobster, which was served cold with cold, non-flavorful veggies. It was a small spiny lobster (no claws) and I should have asked the market price up front because it was $115. My daughter had the gnocchi chjusoni galluresi, which was okay but it was a small serving with very little meat in it. My son had the beef filet, which was tasty and cooked perfectly- the clear winner out of all our dishes. There are many great restaurants in the area, so there is no need to break the bank for a mediocre meal.

25/05/2025: I am a Sicilian girl, used to authentic flavors and quality products, especially when it comes to ricotta and pistachio. In this place I found that genuine taste that I appreciate so much. The staff is extraordinarily kind and helpful, especially the girl and the gentleman, who I assume is the owner. Everything transmits care and passion, from the fresh products to the way they are presented. The pistachio ice cream, enriched with pistachio Nutella, is simply unforgettable. In addition, the quality/price ratio is also crazy. Highly recommended!

20/06/2025: A Milanese surprise for me even though I live nearby. Fantastic environment with black and white photos of past and present customers and famous people or Russian memorabilia. Excellent cod and homemade tiramisu. Medium to high prices. To try again. Definitely book. Parking is difficult but there is a paid parking lot nearby. Nice outdoor tables but bring your own

19/06/2025: Unique place in Milan! You eat well, you pay little and there is a wonderful atmosphere!!! I would give you 10 stars if there were.

16/06/2025: The food isn't bad, but it's more for people who like fish and seafood. The bad review is mainly due to the dirt on the fork.

14/06/2025: Good quality food and fresh fish cooked well, try the shrimp and calamari skewers and the marinated sardines. We had a problem with a dish, which was subsequently deducted from the bill and we were also offered drinks (thanks for how the problem was handled). Too bad we were not asked for desserts or coffee. We will return.

27/06/2025: We found this restaurant thanks to the bus driver. We ate divinely raw fish, oysters, hot and cold seafood appetizers and a nice fried calamari and anchovies, all delicious, compliments to the owner and thanks for the truffle offered.

19/05/2025: Booked at the last minute in the evening returning from a trip to central Italy, genuine food that reflects the family management of the place, very courteous service and clean environment, correct quality-price ratio and generous portions. If I were to pass by again I would definitely go back

17/05/2025: locale modesto, anche se rinnovato di recente, aperto ormai da decenni. cucina maremmana andante, con alti e bassi. da sempre la specialità della casa sono, a ragione, i tortelli. vino sfuso da rivedere. bagno angusto. prezzi popolari, ma non troppo.
