10/10/2025: Very atmospheric, beautiful setting and excellent food and service. Staff were fantastic. Highly recommend.

02/10/2025: The place is very nice, overlooking the sea with both indoor and outdoor tables. The service is acceptable, but the seafood is awful. The mixed antipasto costs €32 but is worth €10; it seems like it's made with fish from a discount store. The mussels tasted like nothing; if they're not in season, they're not on the menu, instead using frozen ones. The seafood pasta was runny and flavorless. I won't comment on the pizza, but it looked good. Spent €99 with a bottle of wine, but it's not worth it at all.

01/10/2025: Passing through Elba Island for a week's vacation, we stopped in for lunch on Monday. We arrived at 12:20 because we were pressed for time with the ferry, but were told to come back at 12:30-12:40 because it was still closed. We returned at 12:35 and saw four tables already occupied, so our menu choice was affected by the cooking times. Never mind, we only ordered two first courses and two glasses of wine at a steep €43. On our return trip a week later, the ferry was a bit late, and we arrived at the restaurant at 2:00 PM. The closing time was listed as 2:30 PM, but we were told the kitchen had just closed due to lack of customers. A terrible impression, and we were told to go to the restaurant across the street where they serve sandwiches and platters. I told them we'd rushed here specifically to eat here and that I'd find another restaurant myself. Never again.

29/09/2025: As soon as we disembarked from the ferry, in the historic center of Piombino we found this osteria where we were welcomed warmly. The menu offers land or sea options with affordable options and a good selection of wines. The Maremmana steak and porchetta won over our palates, highly recommended.

16/10/2025: Good croissant, average coffee (over roasted Italian stuff - okay, I prefer my coffee lightly roasted? Good service and nice staff.

22/07/2025: An excellent quick stop! The owners' savoir faire, friendliness, and initiative transformed our stop for a quick sandwich into a succulent yet quick lunch. They greeted us with a sautéed plate of tagliolini with truffles that we couldn't resist, and they were EXCELLENT! I recommend it if you're in the Urbino area, but it's also worth a detour.

17/10/2025: The most beautiful place on Pozzo Strada (without exaggeration) makes Fridays after work special. It's now a regular stop. Umberto, the owner, manages it with truly excellent expertise. Highly recommended!

02/11/2025: We visited late afternoon with very few tables, the service was so slow that makes you wonder. We ordered 2 plates pasta and 1 to go. One of the 2 was burned and tasked as such. The other plate was Okey, but the one to go was half a portion and the image of it was terrible. Avoid that place.

29/10/2025: I’ve rarely experienced something so disappointing – and so expensive on top of that! The ingredients didn’t seem fresh at all, and the portions were so tiny that even a rabbit would’ve gone home hungry. My lasagna? A sad, meatless, flavorless lump. The pasta dish? Gone in two bites. And to top off the fiasco, you had to walk up and pay at what looked like a small kiosk selling cigarettes and random items. In short: The most expensive disappointment I’ve had the “pleasure” of paying for in a long time

02/10/2025: I had the traditional Sardinian fregula and seafood pasta. It featured ingredients symbolic of the region's sea, such as squid, tuna, and mussels, and the seafood pasta was undeniably delicious. The other dish was clam pasta, which was simple yet flavorful and very satisfying. For wine, we had a white Vermentino and a red Cannonau by the glass. Both paired well with the food, with the white wine being particularly refreshing. For dessert, we had panna cotta, which was not too sweet and served perfectly after the meal. The restaurant had a stylish atmosphere, with displays of fine wines and fresh fish. It's deep and has ample seating, with two floors and an additional floor, so it seems like it could accommodate even busy days. It's currently the off-season, so it was quiet and we enjoyed a relaxing time. Some people ordered pizza to go, while others enjoyed a drink at the bar, suggesting a restaurant with a wide variety of uses. There are many dishes I didn't try this time but would definitely like to try next time: Grigliata mista di Pesce (Grilled Seafood Platter) Gamberi e Scampi locali (Grilled Shrimp and Langoustine), a Sardinian tradition Luxurious Lobster Linguine and Astiche alla Catalana (Lobster Catalana) Black Angus Horse Steak and Tagliata (Bistecca di Cavallo / Tagliata di Black Angus) Traditional Northern Italian Milanese Veal Cutlet (Costoletta di Vitello alla Milanese) Currugiones (Pasta with Potatoes and Mint), a Sardinian specialty Cheese and meat dishes, such as raviolone and lamb ragu pasta More than 40 varieties of pizza are available, especially the seafood pizza (Frutti di Mare) I'm curious about the special pizza named after the restaurant. This restaurant offers both seafood and meat, and each dish is so appealing it makes you want to order another one. This is a recommended place for anyone looking to enjoy a hearty meal in Sardinia.

25/09/2025: Dinner for seven high school friends. They booked this restaurant and ordered pizza, which cost double and wasn't as good as the best pizzerias in Oristano. Having had spaghetti for lunch, I asked for an octopus salad and for my second course, grilled octopus. The octopus salad was difficult to modify; they only had the potato version. But what would it take for a chef, or even an assistant, to remove the potatoes and add a few pieces of celery and a little vinegar? The place was half empty; they had plenty of time! To avoid any problems, I ate the octopus and potatoes. Meanwhile, my friends finished their pizza, and my second course, ordered with the appetizer, was nowhere to be seen. An hour had passed; the others wanted to order a dessert or a bitter, but they were waiting for my second course. After four reminders, these two tentacles arrived on a bed of curly lettuce and a sweet and sour sauce! Ruined octopus; if I wanted Chinese food, I'd have gone there!!! To get a knife suitable for cutting the octopus, I had to make another request! But where did they get the waiters? Moral of the story: we preferred to finish the evening in one of the excellent bars in Piazza Roma. PS: I worked as a dishwasher in the days of Gesuino and Guido. We had a wood-fired stove and a barbecue in the garden, without all the luxuries of today. Well, the food was 100 times better. That evening, the only survivors were the boy who cleared the table and definitely the dishwasher.

30/09/2025: Friendly and family atmosphere, small place but with some outdoor tables, very nice guys, super meatballs and pasta all'assassina!!!!

15/09/2025: If I could give this restaurant 20 stars each for food, service and atmosphere, I would. We were visiting during a local event and even though they didn’t have the space to accommodate us right away, we had just a short wait and they even stayed open to serve us. The food is off the charts incredible. Seriously. The BEST Italian food I’ve EVER had. The Polpetteria were unlike anything I’ve had before and I loved all the different varieties. The owner made sure that our party had PLENTY of food, kept bringing different things to try and it was all fantastic! I’m a fairly picky eater and I ate everything. The eggplant Parmesan was my favorite. I have had a lot of trouble finding it fresh where I live and this was like heaven. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this hidden gem discreetly tucked away in the heart of Corato. It’ll be the first restaurant (and I’ll definitely be back multiple times on my next trip) I visit on my return. Thank you for an incredible experience and for your hospitality La Polpetteria! Also I put down moderate noise because we were a little loud and had a lot of fun. It’s possibly a lot quieter when you don’t have a big group of hungry filmmakers in there :)

25/08/2025: Superlative coffee, which you can sample at the counter or purchase whole beans or freshly ground. Various blends are available, directly from the roastery run with skill and passion by Nicola, a bastion of a long-standing family tradition and resistance to large-scale industry. A pleasant, friendly place to enjoy excellent coffee in good company. Selected local products are also available, perfect for yourself or as a gift. We'll be back!

09/10/2025: I happened to pass by it on my way back from a hike to Peschiera. What can I say, lucky me! The pizza was superb (tomato, Gorgo, sausage, and parmesan), Roman-style, so thin. The glass of white wine was also good. Highly recommended!

06/10/2025: Fantastic experience. We were guests at the Hotel Riel and were treated with infinite kindness and helpfulness. All the dishes were tasty, plentiful, and presented with understated elegance. Excellent value. This restaurant is definitely worth a try, 10 out of 10.

07/09/2025: Located in the heart of town, with a splendid view facing the Church of the Assumption. The venue is geared towards evening dining and young people, so primarily a pub/sandwich shop, but the wide selection and variety of dishes still offer a pleasant experience for those who enjoy experimenting. Really reasonable prices, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive. Perfect for an evening with friends or just relaxing!

23/09/2025: Lunch for six people was booked. We arrived at 1:05 PM as we were told, because there was no room beforehand... We discovered that the work menu ends at 1:00 PM, and if you don't know where you are, you get à la carte lunches... well, well, good food. Management... well, well, well.

29/10/2025: This restaurant is a must-visit! The raw, hot, and cold dishes are simply phenomenal: the freshest ingredients, generous portions, and always well-balanced toppings. Even the first courses are a veritable explosion of flavors, rich in seafood and prepared with great care. Attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere complete an experience truly worth trying. Highly recommended for lovers of good seafood!

16/10/2025: We ate well-prepared, high-quality dishes made with genuine, minimally processed ingredients. Their "Vecchia Marina tagliolino" is a must-try. The staff was courteous and friendly, and Giovanni was an excellent host. The prices were fair. Parking was right in front of the restaurant (we came in October). We'll be back with great pleasure!
