15/07/2025: A VERY disappointing experience. When I ordered ARTISAN spaghetti...with fish and lime...I was greeted with spaghetti that was nothing artisanal at all, with clams, bottarga, and tomato. I called the lady back and she took the dish back to the kitchen...too bad a colleague arrived and shamelessly told me the kitchen was closed at 10:20 PM...then he handed me the dish I DIDN'T order. Now...it's not about the 3 euro difference, because I won't become poor and they won't become rich, but the absurd thing was this blame game. Please: don't behave like this with tourists: act like a gentleman and, above all, be competent...all you had to do was admit your mistake right away. Never again!! I forgot: the rubber octopus appetizer...try it before it comes out.

15/07/2025: A very quiet and relaxing hotel. The gardens and pool are very well maintained. The included breakfast was quite good. The room was very simple, with narrow beds and just the right size. It's more like a hostel, but everything was very clean and tidy.

13/08/2025: After eating at the restaurant several times, we decided to try the suckling pig, ordering takeout so we could enjoy it at home with friends. Besides its deliciousness, the presentation of the dish was a pleasant surprise, served on a beautiful cork tray, where the suckling pig, accompanied by equally delicious potatoes, rested on myrtle sprigs. Top!

11/08/2025: Everything was excellent... we had the pizza, and everyone loved it... we'll definitely be back. Attentive staff, no negative reviews. The price was fair, I recommend it 🔝

17/07/2025: A historic and renowned restaurant in Costa Rei, in Monte Nai, 300 meters from the sea. It has a parking lot with approximately 20 spaces, reserved only because of signs, but other cars are also available. Located in a small cluster of restaurants that typify the town's central area. Recently renovated, the restaurant blends modern style with traditional touches, seating about 100 people in the garden, porch, and indoor areas. Primarily known for its seafood, although it also offers meat-based dishes. The menu isn't extensive, but the dishes are refined and beautifully presented, with gourmet pretensions. The wine list is also good. The wait staff is very friendly and always available to accommodate your needs. We tried the seafood appetizer tasting menu, which was satisfying, except for one dish featuring farro and seafood, which we found to be flavorless. We then waited over half an hour for the first courses, but the seafood pasta was excellent, as was the linguine creamed in salted butter, loin roe, stracciatella, and red shrimp tartare; it's a shame the latter arrived practically cold. The dessert selection was also good. The bill was quite reasonable, in line with other restaurants in the area. Our expectations were probably too high, so we weren't entirely satisfied. It's still worth trying.

17/07/2025: I don't know why this business has so many stars. We went there, nothing was worth the price. The portions where small and the food was, sorry to say, tasteless crap. The only decent thing was the glass of wine we paid 20 euro's for. We ordered steak, they did not ask how it should be cooked. And it was just that, a steak without side dishes like mashed potatoe, just a dry steak. Horrible. The pasta was a shame on italy, i have better pasta in the microwave in Belgium. If the cook is Italian, he should be deeply ashamed. Also I was still eating, and they took away the plates of other guests. My hunger was over right away. Never again. Horrible place. DO NOT GO. It has fancy prices and fancy setting for crap food and service. Do not be fooled by the show, the quality is microwave worthy.

04/08/2025: Nothing to say about the quality and service, the quantity is ridiculous for the price asked: 1 spaghetti allo scoglio (50 gr), a small seafood salad (mostly mussels), a vegetable pizza (not excellent), half a litre of house wine and a bottle of sparkling water totalling 60.00 euros... we will definitely not return here..

20/07/2025: Pranzato a Chia in questo ristorante carino, ben arredato, con parcheggio disponibile e esterno ben curato Pietanze buone sia i tagliolini allo scoglio che la seppia grigliata, tenera e saporita. Personale gentile. Ottimo il finale con sorbetto al mirto!!!

19/07/2025: Location carina e personale gentile, ma oltre a questo il nulla! Appena ci siamo seduti, il direttore di sala si è precitato al tavolo per informarci che per i primi piatti ci sarebbe stato da attendere oltre un'ora in quanto l'orario (le 21.15) era quello del massimno afflusso di clienti. Abbiamo così optato per una due fritture iniziali e per un piatto di spaghetti da portare successivamente. Definire la prima portata scarsa è poco, la barchetta di legno era mezza vuota, frittura che nel piatto avrebbe fatto una figura ancora più misera (ecco spiegata la scelta di questo anomalo piatto di portata..)! Ma il peggio è stato il proseguo, con un primo piatto che nulla aveva a che vedere con quello ordinato: invece di un piatto di spaghetti, ci hanno servito un piatto di cappellini, molto più veloci da cuocere (infatti è arrivato dopo 40' e non dopo l'ora abbondante ipotizzata inizialmente), ma che in termini di gusto, nulla avevano a che vedere con gli spaghetti. Esperienza NEGATIVA, sicuramente da non ripete, visto anche il prezzo delle portate, 28€ per la frittuira e 18€ gli pseudo-spaghetti!!

02/08/2025: Ristorante Pizzeria Gelateria. The pizza was delicious — full of flavor and clearly made with care 🍕. Unfortunately, we had to sit indoors since the music outside in the square was far too loud for a proper conversation. That said, this wasn’t the restaurant’s fault, and they kindly accommodated us inside. A special shoutout for welcoming our dog, Toffee, who was perfectly content and relaxed indoors. Great food, friendly atmosphere, and pet-friendly — definitely worth a visit!

22/05/2025: Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen und kulinarisch hervorragenden Aufenthalt! Das Essen ist, wie in fast allen Rezensionen zuvor erwähnt, hervorragend. Der Service war absolut gut. Freundlich und schnell. Kann mir die etwas schlechteren Bewertungen gar nicht erklären. Preislich im Vergleich zu dem was sonst so hier geboten wird absolut fair!

27/07/2025: Ho mangiato qui un crudo eccellente , poi ho ordinato insieme agli amici degli spaghetti vongole e bottarga , sono arrivati dopo una estenuante attesa di più di un ora e purtroppo immangiabili. Mi hanno rovinato il piacere del crudo. Il tutto in ambiente caotico .

20/07/2025: Mi hanno fatto aspettare 41 minuti cronometrati pur dicendo di avere fretta, e dopo la lunga attesa sul mio tavolo si è presentata una pizza surgelata. PESSIMO

18/07/2025: Sono stata in questo ristorante con il mio ragazzo e devo dire che è stata un’esperienza davvero piacevole. Abbiamo cenato nella terrazza con vista sulla Tavolara! L’ambiente è accogliente. Il personale è stato gentile, professionale e sempre attento, senza mai essere invadente. Cibo ottimo! Consigliatissimo!

17/07/2025: Buona la pizza napoletana e la grigliata di pesce. Si respira aria napoletana ed il servizio è stato veloce e preciso Unico neo le vespe che all'aperto ti fanno compagnia e non ti fanno apprezzare la cena. Per il resto anche il prezzo è nella media.

04/05/2025: Incuriositi dalle recensioni, siamo andati in questo locale. Il cibo era ottimo, e quando mi sono sporcato, il cameriere è stato così gentile da darmi lo smacchia tutto (che tra l’altro funzionava).

19/08/2025: Worst service I have ever experienced. The food was nothing to brag about in any way, overpriced compared to other places here in Sardinia. The waiters, and especially the male waiter who was seated at our table, were downright rude, and I have had better service when I cook for myself at home. When we asked for the bill, the table was cleared, and then we sat for another 15 min. before a bill came. oops oops oops.

18/08/2025: Nice place, top location right on the ramparts. Dinner is available from 7 pm, no problem. Good food; we tried the paella and tuna. Prices are reasonable. A little warm until the sun goes down, but there are tables lower down in the shade.

05/08/2025: The restaurant has a beautiful view of the port of Maddalena and the island across the way. The food was very good. Mixed salad was huge, Caprese salad was large and awesome. The truffle cream spaghetti was amazing. And the eggplant Parmesan was fantastic. They have a very large wine list. We chose a mid-priced bottle of red Cannonau wine. They poured the glass, and clearly I could see the rust color right away. The nose was bad, and the taste was like vinegar. I had to sent the wine back and order a less expensive bottle which was much better. The staff didn’t seem too happy that I sent the wine back, but I wasn’t going to pay 60 euro for a wine gone bad. All the male waiters and busboys were very friendly and accommodating, but our female server was not the friendliest of all. The prices are high, but these tourist places are only open 5-6 months of the year, so I guess you cannot blame them. Overall, not too bad. Would come again for the food and the great view. Hopefully they can improve the friendliness of some of the staff.
