05/06/2026: When you dream of finding that one amazing restaurant while you're visiting Italy... you've found it, it's Taberna Santona. I walked in on a Friday evening not long after they opened. I'd read many great reviews and was nervous that the place would be fully booked, but to my surprise there was a choice of tables both inside and outside. All the staff spoke Italian with me and one server even kindly told me I spoke well, which I really appreciated because it means a lot to hear that from a native speaker. Everyone was pleasant, no one seemed impatient or uncaring. Tourists were treated as kindly as locals. Staff checked in a few times to see how everything was, including the owner (I think) who seemed genuinely pleased to hear that people were enjoying their food. I had the insalata normanna, which was an interesting mix of things i never would've thought to combine in one dish, but it worked very well. I thought the onion was a little overpowering but that was a minor detail. I then had the couscous Carlofortina which was also quite good. Both dishes were light yet still enough to make for a solid meal. Everyone raves about the chocolate cake, rightfully so because it was so good I got a second piece to bring with me. Get it with caramel and whipped cream. I'm not normally a caramel fan but i impulsively said yes when asked if i wanted it. this caramel tasted divine, not like it came from a jar. All the desserts are homemade too. The people seated next to me were talking about how delicious the panna cotta was. Places like these are what you'll remember months and years after your visit, and i hope to be able to come back soon. Grazie mille per tutto 😋🍽🩷

10/07/2026: Impeccable place, clean and welcoming, the girls impeccable and attentive, Marica the super head waiter, superb raw fish and equally excellent fried fish, it's certainly expensive but worth it. Highly recommended.

07/07/2026: A small, outstanding restaurant with very personal and excellent service, as well as absolutely exceptional food, is worth a trip! From the very beginning, communication was great, the service was incredibly attentive and child-friendly, and the staff were always attentive and extremely courteous – something that isn't a given at this level, anywhere. Special requests were handled perfectly, so even "adult" dishes were available for the children. The dishes were all uncluttered and not overly elaborate, but rather down-to-earth and honest, using only the highest quality ingredients, prepared with palpable love for the food, resulting in a dish that offers an absolute harmony that is second to none. 10/06/2026: Breathtaking views of Castelsardo and top-quality seafood. I was a guest of friends and was very satisfied with both the service and the cuisine. The carefully prepared and flavorful seafood is definitely worth a visit, even for a romantic sunset dinner. I can't comment on the value for money because I host, but I would gladly return.

19/05/2026: The welcome and customer service were excellent. The quality of the ingredients used was excellent, and the chef showcased them with professionalism and attention to detail. Among the appetizers, the raw red shrimp was simply SPECTACULAR. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Alghero. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.... Next time, to try the meat-based dishes.

16/05/2026: Tucked away in a narrow alley in Alghero's historic center, it offers ample seating both inside and out. You'll be pleased with the food, location, and service. I recommend it to anyone visiting the town. They're the same owners as the gourmet restaurant MOS, also in Alghero, and another in Sassari.

26/07/2026: The pizzas were very good, but you know what was outstanding? The tiramisu and lemon sorbet. It was proper homemade stuff, absolutely perfect. The staff was wonderful, too! We would come back any time!

24/07/2026: Highly recommended. Excellent service, lovely place, especially the terrace. The mixed fried fish, culurgioni, anemone, calamari, and spaghetti al cartoccio were exceptional. Very satisfied ☺️. The white wine and house desserts were very good. Reasonable prices.

08/07/2026: Cool restaurant, smart menu with an endless list of pizzas. Unlike competitors, they always offer freshly baked focaccia and additional special dishes, like these squid ink linguine with crunchy saffron courgette bites (bit overcooked in my case). Food quality is above average but could be better, good service.

07/07/2026: Very nice restaurant. We had a wonderful meal. Excellent pizza, and the Cannonau beef tagliata with baked potatoes was really good, cooked to perfection. Excellent service, the waiter was kind and really knowledgeable. Thank you, we had a wonderful time.

12/05/2026: Fantastic restaurant, it couldn't be better. Great atmosphere right by the sea, the best tuna pasta my husband has ever eaten. Excellent service; this was our third time here, which says it all…
