12/07/2025: We had lunch today at Gaonas in Martina Franca, and it was a wonderful experience: dining al fresco at charming shaded tables and sampling Gaonas's specialties was truly satisfying for me and my loved ones. The entire staff was distinguished by their kindness, friendliness, and professionalism. The whole-wheat bread and homemade taralli are served hot and fill the entire table with delicious aromas! I recommend everyone stop by Gaonas for lunch or dinner, as it's truly a sensory experience that satisfies every palate!

23/06/2025: A quiet meal in a very quiet alleyway. We shared plates, beautifully presented and perhaps one of the best meals of our time in Puglia. The service was attentive.

22/08/2025: Il Punto Cardinale and its extremely friendly team have now become our culinary must-visit whenever we're in Monopoli. We all thoroughly enjoy the wonderful, freshly prepared dishes, including the delicious bread (which is also homemade!), and the very friendly service! 04/08/2025: A few nights ago we had dinner here. Just walking in, you sense it's a sophisticated, elegant, intimate, welcoming, and extremely hospitable place. The staff is highly trained, attentive, and attentive, with great courtesy and kindness. The service was prompt, and we were pleasantly guided and advised. While waiting for our appetizers, we indulged in artisanal French fries, grown and produced on the property. Crispy and not at all greasy, they were light and delicious—I could have eaten loads of them. One of the appetizers was a real pain to eat, despite its visual beauty and exquisite presentation, with a touch of artistry and skill. The fried food was excellent, using high-quality ingredients. The first course was a delicious linguina cavalieri, where both ingredients, sea urchins and clams, were recognizable, and perfectly cooked. The dessert, offered on the house, was delightful and soft as a cloud. We tried an alternative spritz, recommended: the "Spritz Matisse," which was truly delicious, refreshing, and far removed from the usual cloying Aperol taste. The interior rooms are characteristic of the Salento area, and offer a stunning backdrop for Matisse's works. 27/07/2025: Lovely place in the most beautiful streets, where they cook local Puglia food to perfection. There aren't many tourists, so the food is made the way the locals love it and we loved that. We were lucky enough that the chef came out and told us about the place and the menu. We followed his recommendations and were not disappointed. Thank you for a really good experience 😊

25/07/2025: While searching for a gourmet restaurant in Bari, I came across La Bul. The good reviews and, above all, the great photos convinced me. I ordered the 8-course menu with matching wine pairings. I was served a harmonious, delicious, and sophisticated menu; each course was a delight, and the accompanying wines were very well chosen. A big compliment also to the service team. They were always friendly and attentive, but never intrusive. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

11/07/2025: I had dinner in this restaurant month ago. We chosed for eight course chef’s menu, and it was delicious. Started with some bites with caviar and nice selection of local bread. Every course came as a surprise, there were first three courses of raw fish dishes, then perfectly cooked risotto in fish sauce, then pasta with red prawns and truffle, duck with foie gras and steak, ended with light tiramisu dessert. The atmosphere was nice, we dined in the garden, interior gave vibe of old soul’s presence in the restaurant. Service was excellent, waiter and sommelier were attentive and took good care of us. I truly recommend this place.

22/08/2025: I normally don’t leave reviews but for this place I have to. The food was exceptional, the ingredients were incredibly fresh and the waitstaff is very attentive. Also, the place is beautiful! We went a couple of times when we were in Lecce and tried different dishes, all delicious including the sushi (one of the best I’ve tasted) and the amazing tiramisu. Definitely a must if you are in Puglia!

29/08/2025: Finally found a beach club worth a return visit. Coccaro Beach Club has a pleasant sand beach located within an alcove with the clearest of seas. Bathing is a pleasure and the facilities are clean and complemented by attentive staff. Lunch on the waters edge was accompanied by a pleasant sea breeze, some bubbles and fresh fish. Perfect ingredients for a slow lunch. Menu obviously favours fish but somewhat limiting for the carnivores amongst us. The club is child friendly and quite secure. A good time was had by all. Returned two days later only to have missed an irritating feature that unfortunately downgrades the establishment to just another Italian disappointment. I noticed a €16 discrepancy between two exact bottles of bubbly, one ordered on the beach and the other ordered in the dining area. When queried, I was proudly informed that there is a surcharge for ordering on the beach! The beach and the dining area is equidistant from the bar! I walked it! It is so typically petty and very disappointing from such an establishment to be penny pinching. As if the waiters would not be tipped! Given the mentality I would be surprised if the surcharge is shared with the waiters. Italians have a habit of capping the hospitality experience with unnecessarily annoying but with obvious avariciousness. So few establishments are able to break through this barrier. They comfortably fool themselves that nobody will notice. We all do! Downgrade buffering…

26/07/2025: There are experiences that you never forget, and the one we had in this restaurant is undoubtedly one of them. Together with my family, we found ourselves immersed in an authentic, warm and welcoming atmosphere, where every detail seemed designed to make us feel at home... but with something more: respect for tradition, love for cooking and a professionalism that is rarely encountered. As soon as we crossed the threshold, we were greeted by an impeccable staff: discreet, kind, present without ever being intrusive. A composure and care for the guest that struck us right away and that accompanied our entire stay, making it harmonious and relaxing. And then the food... how wonderful. Each dish told a story: that of their land, generous and full of authentic flavors. From the rich and fragrant appetizers, to the expertly prepared second courses, up to the desserts that left a smile on our lips... each bite was a little journey into this wonderful land rich in flavors and tradition. It is rare to find a place where the quality of the cuisine marries so well with the soul of the service and the beauty of the atmosphere. This restaurant gave us a precious moment, made of taste, human warmth and true tradition. We will return, without a doubt.

30/04/2025: Giunti in Andria volevo fare assaggiare una buona pizza alla mia ragazza che viene da fuori, ci rechiamo in questa pizzeria e chiediamo un tavolo per due senza prenotazione, una donna probabilmente la titolare ci dice che avevano due opzioni o un tavolo vista cucina senza nessun tipo di protezioni (per la contaminazione di cibo) e un tavolo che bisognava liberare in un'ora. Optiamo per il tavolo da liberare entro un'ora, ordiniamo un antipasto e due pizze, il cameriere ci dice "vi metto una ciccio calda per accompagnare" e va via. All'arrivo del conto la ciccio che nessuno ha ordinato viene inserita. Dopo l'antipasto ancora con il boccone in bocca tolgono i piatti, mangiamo le pizze stessa situazione subito via i piatti e tempo zero arriva il conto. Nemmeno il tempo di usufruire dei servizi che ci dicono che dobbiamo liberare il tavolo. Da quando ci siamo seduti erano passati 30/40 minuti e non un' ora come concordato. Cibo ottimo ma servizio pessimo.

27/07/2025: I'm not giving it a full 5 only because the portion of the fried fish, which is very good, is really small. Unlike the generous first courses. You must try the swordfish linguine and the gnocchi. Super!!! The cuisine is fresh and it shows!!!
