27/02/2026: I stopped in Stresa for work and chose Stornello because I read they also have vegan options. Since it's not an exclusively vegan restaurant, my expectations weren't very high. But I was wrong... their vegan dishes are nothing short of spectacular!! Starters, main courses (even the seitan goulash), and dessert! I'll be back, even if I have to travel all the way from Verona.

08/12/2025: I had the opportunity to have lunch at this restaurant a couple of years ago and had a wonderful time: excellent food, excellent service, everything perfect. I wanted to return today, so I called and was very kindly told they would keep the kitchen open for me. Unfortunately, I had a setback and wasn't able to make it. They tried calling me, but when they couldn't get through, they also sent me a WhatsApp message to kindly let me know the kitchen was on hold for me. The service is excellent: courtesy and respect for the customer are clearly core values ​​for them. The cuisine is truly top-quality. Highly recommended.

14/10/2025: Family-run restaurant, very welcoming, the risotto with chocolate, goat's cheese and "out of this world" pumpkin was truly delicious, the venison with chestnuts and pumpkin was excellent, the dessert was also very good, I highly recommend the place, I also recommend booking.

10/12/2025: A wonderful place for its history and international culture. It was the "precursor" of what is now known as the United Nations. I recommend visiting in the summer. It may be closed during the winter months.

22/11/2025: The state-of-the-art spa is amazing. The floating spa is a fun experience if you make a reservation. The hotel itself is gorgeous and a pleasant stroll. The private garden in front is also beautiful to explore. The hotel rooms are small, but the sheets are clean, and the breakfast is decorated in a lovely way.

06/01/2026: Divine! Christmas motorboat to the Island of Lights – Nativity scenes and flavors on Fishermen's Island: a truly special evening, one that will last a lifetime. For the lights event, we booked dinner at Ristorante Italia, on the island of the same name, and even our arrival on the water, amidst the Christmassy reflections and atmosphere, promised something unique. I'm not a fan of fish—especially lake fish—but I have to say that here they literally made me love it. Dishes of lake fish were divinely prepared, carefully presented, and passionately described by the owner: a talkative, pleasant, and deeply engaging person. Like the rest of the family, of course, but he in particular was able to guide us, with enthusiasm and expertise, in choosing the best they had to offer. The photos speak clearly and tell a lot, even if they can't fully convey the emotions we experienced at the table. Last but not least, the discovery that the restaurant also offers round-trip boat transportation to and from Baveno and Stresa. A boat piloted by the son: a detail that makes all the difference and makes the experience even more intimate, complete, and evocative. An evening of lights dancing on the water, authentic flavors, and genuine people. One to cherish forever.

13/09/2025: We stayed in this historic hotel and were truly enchanted! Our room directly overlooked the splendid Borromean Islands: a dreamlike panorama, perfect for a romantic getaway. The atmosphere is welcoming and charming, with a touch of old-world elegance that makes everything even more special. A special thanks to the owner, who was incredibly kind and attentive: she recommended a truly delightful evening meal and even arranged a little surprise for my husband—a gesture we greatly appreciated and which made our stay even more memorable.

26/11/2025: Right by the lake, so you start with an awesome setting. I enjoyed the the seafood pizza, the Fish Plate and really enjoyed the tiramisu. Very friendly staff. Atmosphere is not fancy, very chill and laid back. A must to visit.

29/10/2025: We only wanted to have a drink at lunchtime, and even though the restaurant was practically empty, we were refused service. We can't understand this at all, because in the off-season, you'd think they'd be happy with so few customers... and drinks are a good source of revenue. Very disappointing! Attached is a picture to illustrate just how empty the restaurant was.

What's truly surprising, however, is the kindness and helpfulness with which you're welcomed. The breakfast is worthy of a 5-star establishment, featuring a selection of homemade products. I recommend this property to anyone who wants to discover Valdossola and the surrounding area.
