08/12/2025: I had the opportunity to have lunch at this restaurant a couple of years ago and had a wonderful time: excellent food, excellent service, everything perfect. I wanted to return today, so I called and was very kindly told they would keep the kitchen open for me. Unfortunately, I had a setback and wasn't able to make it. They tried calling me, but when they couldn't get through, they also sent me a WhatsApp message to kindly let me know the kitchen was on hold for me. The service is excellent: courtesy and respect for the customer are clearly core values ​​for them. The cuisine is truly top-quality. Highly recommended.

10/12/2025: A wonderful place for its history and international culture. It was the "precursor" of what is now known as the United Nations. I recommend visiting in the summer. It may be closed during the winter months.

22/11/2025: The state-of-the-art spa is amazing. The floating spa is a fun experience if you make a reservation. The hotel itself is gorgeous and a pleasant stroll. The private garden in front is also beautiful to explore. The hotel rooms are small, but the sheets are clean, and the breakfast is decorated in a lovely way.

06/01/2026: Divine! Christmas motorboat to the Island of Lights – Nativity scenes and flavors on Fishermen's Island: a truly special evening, one that will last a lifetime. For the lights event, we booked dinner at Ristorante Italia, on the island of the same name, and even our arrival on the water, amidst the Christmassy reflections and atmosphere, promised something unique. I'm not a fan of fish—especially lake fish—but I have to say that here they literally made me love it. Dishes of lake fish were divinely prepared, carefully presented, and passionately described by the owner: a talkative, pleasant, and deeply engaging person. Like the rest of the family, of course, but he in particular was able to guide us, with enthusiasm and expertise, in choosing the best they had to offer. The photos speak clearly and tell a lot, even if they can't fully convey the emotions we experienced at the table. Last but not least, the discovery that the restaurant also offers round-trip boat transportation to and from Baveno and Stresa. A boat piloted by the son: a detail that makes all the difference and makes the experience even more intimate, complete, and evocative. An evening of lights dancing on the water, authentic flavors, and genuine people. One to cherish forever.

13/09/2025: We stayed in this historic hotel and were truly enchanted! Our room directly overlooked the splendid Borromean Islands: a dreamlike panorama, perfect for a romantic getaway. The atmosphere is welcoming and charming, with a touch of old-world elegance that makes everything even more special. A special thanks to the owner, who was incredibly kind and attentive: she recommended a truly delightful evening meal and even arranged a little surprise for my husband—a gesture we greatly appreciated and which made our stay even more memorable.

26/11/2025: Right by the lake, so you start with an awesome setting. I enjoyed the the seafood pizza, the Fish Plate and really enjoyed the tiramisu. Very friendly staff. Atmosphere is not fancy, very chill and laid back. A must to visit.

29/10/2025: We only wanted to have a drink at lunchtime, and even though the restaurant was practically empty, we were refused service. We can't understand this at all, because in the off-season, you'd think they'd be happy with so few customers... and drinks are a good source of revenue. Very disappointing! Attached is a picture to illustrate just how empty the restaurant was.

03/01/2026: We felt at home; the kindness was evident when booking and confirmed on-site. Located in the historic center of Domodossola, the rooms were simple and the furnishings weren't modern, but they were pleasant. We had a beautiful wooden-beamed ceiling. The breakfast was truly excellent, served at your table, with both sweet and savory options. I especially enjoyed the hazelnut cake, the homemade yogurt, and the berries. Thank you. I would love to return, and I'd also like to try the restaurant, since it was closed at the moment.

02/01/2026: What can I say about Locanda Piemonte da Sciolla? I've never stayed in such a welcoming place. From the moment we arrived, we felt like family. Lucia and Paola were truly gracious, with excellent customer service, far superior to that of many hotel brands. For me, the real difference is, and always will be, the service offered, and in this case, the Locanda deserves 10 stars. My sincere compliments, and I hope they continue to maintain this extraordinary style of hospitality: they are a model to follow in the way guests are welcomed.
