25/10/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant today, a truly wonderful experience! The location is beautiful, in a small square overlooking the lake. We were seated on the outdoor veranda with a magnificent view of the lake. The staff was professional and helpful. They also have specials for small children. The food was superb! We each had an appetizer, a first course, and a dessert, and we were extremely satisfied!
20/10/2025: You don't go to this restaurant to eat, but to enjoy a culinary experience.
The superlative quality of the food, the excellent service, the welcoming atmosphere, and the refined atmosphere are totally captivating...
What can I say? Once you've tried it, you can't do without it.

19/11/2025: The hotel has a great location by the lake, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They're very fond of children and dogs. Our dog was allowed everywhere in the hotel. The small green area by the gravel parking lot is lovely for watching the sunset in the evening.
However: the food is way too expensive. The portions are so tiny. €15 for spaghetti with tomato sauce and burrata cheese, and then you get such an incredibly small portion. My partner's meal wasn't much bigger, but it was even more expensive.
There are stairs everywhere, which makes it very difficult with a stroller, especially if you want to go to breakfast. Not every baby can sit in the IKEA car seat they offer for that long. Of course, you could leave the stroller in the room, but that's really inconvenient for very young children.
Breakfast is the same every single day. And I mean exactly the same. Two or three types of cold cuts, two or three types of cheese, two types of rolls and toast... and the coffee wasn't exactly the best. A shame for Italy... Unfortunately, the dishes were often dirty and the scrambled eggs were often cold.
The Wi-Fi in the room was very poor. Streaming was impossible. Which isn't exactly normal in 2022. Not everyone watches ZDF and ARD. The rooms were also very noisy. We prayed every night that our baby wouldn't cry for the sake of the other guests. Luckily, it didn't. Cleanliness was good, so we can't complain about that. The fold-out bed in the room was loose. We only noticed because something fell off and we had to open it. I wouldn't want to sleep on it; it would definitely tip over. Generally, quite a few things were worn or had defects.
Regarding the location: if you want to go into town, you have to walk about 200 meters along the road because there's no sidewalk. There is a small strip of grass, but it's no help with a stroller. For cyclists, however, the hotel is a great starting point for a ride around the lake or other routes.
... If you're traveling without a baby and a dog, you can find a few days of peace and quiet at this hotel. Unfortunately, it wasn't for us.
30/10/2025: This hotel is perfect. The staff is lovely. The restaurant is really very good and child-friendly (children's menus and high chairs). Ideal location.

09/11/2025: A very nice lakefront restaurant where I always stop… when I can find a table. The only problem is finding a seat because it's always packed. The food is generally very good. There's always a wide selection of pizzas and restaurants. This time I had a pizza called Etna, which isn't a special pizza. It's a puffed piadina-like crust with culatello on top and arugula, cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella inside. Fabulous. The staff is always very friendly.
08/11/2025: The food is very good, but the pasta dishes are frankly very small. I went in hungry and left almost empty after eating my four ravioli.
You'd be better off getting lasagna or a pizza.
Otherwise, it was quite busy and the staff were friendly.

We tried creamed cod, onion with toma cheese and sausage, pikeperch with vegetables, cheek with puree, pear, chocolate, and ricotta cake, and bonet mousse. Good portions. The price was in line with the quantity and the location (a tavern on the shores of Lake Orta). The host was friendly and the service professional.
27/10/2025: A paradise, a perfect mix of flavors and unique relaxation. All the dishes were excellent and so was the service.

I ate there for lunch; the lunch menu was very reasonable. The bakery was very good.
I would definitely go back for lunch; it seems very well-organized for receptions.

02/11/2025: I was deeply disappointed by the owner's behavior. While I was still eating at the table, she approached me to scold me, claiming that the waitress (whom she described as "my daughter, by the way") had taken offense at the way I addressed her.
The owner, without first asking my side of the story, accused me in a forceful tone, stating that "you don't address a little girl that way." I tried to explain that I had simply asked for breadsticks, finding the bread excessively salty, to the point of irritating my teeth.
The waitress's daughter responded: "No one here has complained so far!" When I asked her to check the saltiness, she replied that she has a bread intolerance, and as she left, she began to speak to the staff.
The owner denied my observation, tore off a piece of my leftover bread, tasted it, and claimed I was mistaken, still having the basket replaced (as the waitress could have done, without arguing).
All this happened after the waitress's daughter had been staring at me from a distance for some time, repeatedly approaching the table, prompting me to ask if she had something to say. She responded to my question with an ironic "Nah, nothing," turning her back on me.
Previously, one of the two steaks ordered—requested well-done—had been served medium, as confirmed by the same waiter, who promptly took it back to the kitchen. It then returned to the table completely overcooked. Despite this, we didn't want to complain further.
However, for two €25 dishes and treatment that made a dinner I'd been looking forward to for months, on the occasion of my mother's return to Italy, unpleasant, we feel compelled to leave this review.
We noticed that 90% of the guests were eating pinsa, not meat.
Our advice is to learn to accept criticism and consider serious hotel training on how to handle guests in the event of unexpected events, as well as anxiety management and customer service courses.
What happened on Saturday night was unacceptable, and even more disappointing was not even receiving an apology.
18/10/2025: Very spacious. The staff is always helpful and friendly.
I don't know if I was unlucky, but I don't recommend the salads. The accompanying focaccia was very good, the fish, though small, wasn't bad, but the salad was overcooked and even black in some places... too bad.

18/09/2025: It smells like a bar with a kitchen, not a restaurant (there are plenty of them in Arona). Okay... let's talk about it: I can't say the food is bad, on the contrary, but the portions are very small and at the same time very expensive.
I really find it all very exaggerated! The waiters/waitresses are a bit so... not very empathetic.
I'm sorry, but I won't go in there again!
p.s. The bathroom is very dirty!

07/10/2025: The atmosphere was very noisy and not very clean, especially the restrooms.
The service was extremely slow, and sometimes, despite the slowness, they even got the order wrong.
My wife, my brother-in-law, my wife's sister, and I waited over an hour one Saturday night for two pizzas (not good) and two grilled meats (not good). The beer was awful, either bitter or overly flavored.
Never again!
Disgusting place!

12/10/2025: Good location, overlooking the lake, on a fairly quiet street. Interesting appetizers are served outside (at tables in the square) along with generous platters of tapas.
Dinner is available inside and under the loggia. Our experience with the food was disappointing: tasteless seafood appetizers, poorly cooked or low-quality fish (frozen and second-rate octopus, cuttlefish, and shrimp). The seasonings and flavors were dull, a shame. First courses: the seafood cuisine confirms its low quality... pasta with clams full of the grit typical of poorly prepared clams. The mussel soup was bland, and the mussels were not cleaned properly.
The meat second course, seasoned with porcini mushrooms, was good.
The menu is varied (but everything we tried was disappointing). The mandarin sorbet with Grandmarnier, recommended by the very kind waiter, was excellent.
Quick service. It's a real shame considering the quality of the food. 3/5 stars overall, but the dishes are 2/5.

6:45 PM I stopped the waitress (the girl with the mole near her eye) and said, "Excuse me," and very rudely, without even stopping, "My colleague will come over."
She replied rudely and very rudely, in a loud and annoyed tone.
7:10 PM We made a reservation (including a black mojito)
7:30 PM They brought the wrong drink (classic mojito)
The waitress's response was, "We put dark rum in."
(The black mojito has licorice in it)
"But we don't have licorice."
(Sorry, but tell me first.)
7:45 PM = We're still waiting for an aperitif after almost 2 hours of waiting, the cocktails now full of melted ice.
Terrible service, but above all, rudeness from the staff.
Waiters completely pissed off.
The place is sparsely crowded and not even a bit of music under the porch.
