01/06/2025: Terrible experience! Rudeness and rudeness from the waitress and the owner. Poor food, "baked" sea bream inedible and above all boiled and without any flavor. The waitress was very rude, provoked with unfortunate jokes about the food.

29/12/2024: Piccolo e grazioso locale all’interno del paese di Camogli senza vista sul mare. Servizio molto cordiale e simpatico da parte di Valentina ,affabile padrona di casa che ti racconta il vino e le pietanze e ti guida nella scelta ,seppur limitata ,del menù . (2 antipasti 2 primi-2 secondi a scelta tra carne e pesce) . Piatti particolari e rielaborati che non seguono la cucina regionale ,accostamenti insoliti e ricercati. Consigliato.

25/12/2024: Tuvimos suerte de conseguir una reserva de última hora en Sa. Este es un restaurante pequeño, pero las mesas estaban organizadas de una manera que no se sintió lleno. El servicio fue cálido y atento. Las ofertas de cursos fueron refinadas y todo lo que probamos fue delicioso. Esto parecía comida local con un toque elegante. La anfitriona nos ayudó a elegir una botella de vino perfecta. Estábamos tan felices de haber cenado en Sa.

17/12/2024: El personal nos recibió y fue muy amable. Pedimos pizza y pasta, la comida era increíble! La panacotta de postre también. Los precios también eran lo que cabría esperar. Todo posada toda una muy buena experiencia.

02/07/2025: Spent the day at the beach and ate at the beach side restaurant. The beach is not the best with rocks, but the water is fresh and very clean and the floor is sandy once you are waist deep. We were a group of 12 and had a nice long table at the beach side restaurant. The setup is great, protected from the sun and breezy. The food was excellent and our kids had a blast. Our friends are regulars here and maybe we benefited from their prior knowledge and relationship with the staff. In any case I recommend. Comparatively affordable day at the beach, great food, clean water, good service.

26/06/2025: Yesterday we had dinner and ordered wine, seafood, grilled meat and tiramisu. Everything was delicious and the service was very nice. Today we went to the restaurant only for tiramisu and beer. The service treated us very rudely, maybe because the order was small. We were supposed to go tomorrow for grilled meat and squid but after today's treatment, I will skip this restaurant. I want to point out that the day before we were served by a young, very nice girl who spoke English, and today by a young guy who behaved as if he was working there as a punishment.

22/06/2025: I invite the owner to read this review: last night we went in four + stroller to eat at this "restaurant" where we definitely will not return. The RUDENESS of the owner already when placing the order that delighted us with the exact words: "either you move to order or I'll leave because I don't have time to waste with you", subsequently finished the painful dinner, he presents us with the bill: two pizzas and a grilled meat with drinks €87.50 that we wanted to pay separately, at the aforementioned request he throws the calculator in my face saying: "do your calculations and don't bother me", as well as starting to scream throughout the place threatening to call the police (which we should have done) after a request for clarification for the aforementioned price OBVIOUSLY too high. Well, it's ok to skim off the Sagra di San Giovanni but rudeness is not acceptable because remember that the bad impression was made by you and your staff. SHAME!!!!!!!

19/06/2025: I can not recommend The Grand Hotel Portovenere enough. From the moment we checked in the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. When I walked into the room my jaw dropped. I could lay on the bed and stare at the beautiful see right out of the hotel room window. Whenever we needed any advice on anything we went to the lobby and the staff at the desk were always so very helpful. They were very friendly and full of great advice and bent over backwards to make sure we had our needs taken care of. We were even treated to a few surprise gifts during our stay. The restaurant and enoteca at the hotel are fantastic. Truly great food with outstanding views of the sea and a wait staff that made the experience even better. Breakfasts in the same spot were truly enjoyable as well. I will always recommend Portovenere to anybody I know traveling to Italy as a must-stay place. And I will always recommend The Grand Hotel Portovenere to anybody I know going to Portovenere as a must- stay at hotel! A truly wonderful experience!

12/06/2025: we recently stayed at this hotel and were overwhelmed by the extremely high level of service provided to us by all the staff we encountered. From restaurant recommendations to assisting us with filing a police report due to a stolen bag on the train, to quickly responding to any requests we had, the staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. Location is ideal with great sea views, easy access to the ferries, and everything else in this quaint and friendly village. Definitely recommend staying here if you go to Portevenere.

25/05/2025: Our anniversary dinner proved a significant disappointment despite the high cost. While the views were exceptional and the food presentation innovative, the €500+ price tag did not reflect the quality of the cuisine. The "Chef's Experience Option" fell short of expectations; the menu lacked the premium ingredients one would anticipate at that price point, notably the absence of wagyu. Similarly, the "Elite" wine pairing was poorly timed and lacked adequate explanation of its complementarity to the dishes. In summary, the overall experience was unsatisfactory and did not justify the expense. In contrast, the restaurant on Floor 1 provided superior service and cuisine, a far more suitable choice for our anniversary celebration, as my wife repeatedly suggested.

07/07/2025: Feels a bit stagnant. Should have a simpler menu with fewer options and make them better. But totally ok, a bit cheaper than the neighboring restaurants.

06/07/2025: We opted for the same menu for both tables. We ate divinely: spaghetti allo scoglio, fish ravioli with its "seafood" sauce, sea bream with baked vegetables, coffee, water, house wine and coffee. €25. Very fast, maximum efficiency, everything excellent, at a very convenient price.

04/05/2025: Excellent! Le menu est allégé et raffiné, aussi bien pour manger une simple.pizza qu'un plat! Nous avions choisi une pizza sovrana et des "tagliolino fresco con gallinella"(petits morceaux tendres de poulet, taglatelles le tout arrosé d'une crème au citron- un vrai bonheur d'entrée en italie). Allez-y les yeux fermés...le patron est, qui plus est, très acceuillant!

29/04/2025: Siamo stati due mesi in trasferta a Ventimiglia e Il Vesuvio è diventato il nostro punto fisso. Locale sempre pulito, accogliente e curato. I titolari e il personale sono gentilissimi e sempre disponibili. Il menù è vario e la pizza davvero eccezionale, con ingredienti di qualità e impasto leggero Un posto dove si mangia bene e ci si sente accolti. Consigliatissimo

29/10/2024: No es nuestra primera opción (que estaba cerrado), pero se veía bien, así que le dimos una oportunidad. Aunque no era barato, la comida era excelente, así como el vino. Los camareros estaban ocupados, pero siempre nos atendían cuando era necesario. Agradable para alejarse del pasado habitual y restaurantes de pizza (que sí tienen pasta). Esto, como su nombre indica, es principalmente un restaurante de mariscos, pero no hay opciones de mariscos.
