22/08/2025: Thursday's aperitif and 1 free drink deal was excellent... Food and drinks 🔝! The only flaw is that if the place closes at 9 PM, shouldn't the staff start sending people away at 8:26 PM? That didn't seem polite at all... At least at 8:50 PM you can start politely asking to leave the table... But not before that! The guy told us at 8:26 PM they'd be closing in 10 minutes... ABSURD.

26/04/2025: Prenotiamo alle 21 perché prima non c’era posto che per un luogo di mare non è tardissimo… menù abbastanza striminzito due secondi su Quatto erano già terminati… vabbè opto per un antipasto i primi non erano di mio gusto… e infine arriviamo al dolce l’unico che forse poteva valere la pena prendere… finito anche quello! Serata sfortunata?

14/11/2025: The waiter was nice and friendly. The food was delicious until I discovered a beetle in it. The waiter initially said it was basil, but after clearing the table, he came back, apologized, and removed the dish from the bill. Very kind of him.

04/11/2025: A chic venue, with discreet and impeccable service, and reasonable prices for this type of venue on the Camogli promenade. Excellent quality.

30/08/2025: With a reservation for seven people, I find two round tables, a carefully crafted silver table setting, excellent bread accompanied by a small plate of mountain butter, and a wine list that reads like a dictionary, and unfortunately, the wine we chose is sold out. This is where the small inconveniences begin. My appetizer, brandacujun stockfish, was excellent, hot, with excellent olives. The same cannot be said for my friends' breaded Monterosso anchovies, which had a slightly worn flavor. Meanwhile, the 10-year-old girl awaits her dish without the slightest attention. The first course: tagliatelle with small-sized scampi in a smoky-flavored bisque, cold and overcooked. The spaghetti with clams was borderline acceptable. Ravioli were served in a used gravy boat, like a carafe, without a spoon or a saucer. Obviously, since I couldn't eat, they asked me, and I replied that I didn't like it. Then the chef showed up, hatless, from the kitchen where another person in civilian clothes was milling around, and insistently demanded explanations, which I promptly provided. He insisted that everything was fresh and the other table had already eaten... We got up and got discounted on the two first courses. 04/08/2025: Ristorante davvero bello e riservato anche se in centro a santa Margherita, cibo ottimo, pesce fresco e personale davvero molto molto gentile. Ci torneremo sicuramente

25/07/2025: La sorpresa di trovare un luogo unico ed accogliente in un carruggio vista mare sul porto di Santa è stata completata da un’esperienza gastronomica altrettanto sorprendente. Ricette non banali, qualità ineccepibile attenzione e cordialità nel servizio Il tutto ad un prezzo più che equo. Cosa chiedere di più? Bravi!!

13/10/2025: The sleeping environment was extremely dirty with bed bugs galore, it was a constant struggle, the rooms smelled terrible, the towels and sheets were extremely dirty and they stank like spiders and cobwebs everywhere, I will never return.

13/10/2025: We paid like a luxury place but it's worth zero. Extremely dirty environment with an obnoxious smell. Presence of insects of all kinds in the rooms. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.

30/07/2025: Cena di lavoro in 20 persone. Atmosfera accogliente, ottimo il servizio. Materie prime di altissima qualità sapientemente elaborate dallo chef. Cucina di livello top in centro città. Qui la buona cucina e l'attenzione al cliente si intrecciano per la soddisfazione del cliente. Senza dubbio esperienza da ripetere anche a cena. Consigliatissimo. Marco

12/07/2025: Locale piccolo, tavoli ravvicinati, servizio lentissimo … 30 minuti di attesa per portata ! Piatti senza infamia e senza lode , ove si cerca di stupire con descrizioni altisonanti ma il risultato è molto discutibile. Assolutamente da non riprovare

19/10/2025: Unfortunately we had a negative experience, despite the beauty of the place the service was really poor. The staff was undemanding and very hostile. The outside environment was very dirty.

18/10/2025: Anyone who remembers Klainguti's Zena cake before the change of ownership should avoid trying the one made now by the same pastry shop: it would be a huge disappointment because, while it has retained the name, it is now completely different and noticeably worse. It's a shame, a piece of Genoa gone.

23/07/2025: Horrible place. We ordered mussel soup — they brought us something that looked like slop on a plate: shrimp full of sand, mussels that smelled rotten. As I expected, I got food poisoning even though I only ate a few. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! _________________ Locale orribile. Abbiamo ordered a zuppa di cozze — I hanno portato a specialty of schifezza nel piatto: gamberi pieni di sabbia, cozze che puzzavano di marcio. Come immaginavo, mi sono intossicata anche se ne ho mangiate solo un paio. Non lo consiglio a nessuno!

11/07/2025: Maten var medioker, service från den unga tjejen var urusel, snorkig/ingen servicekänsla behöver gå en utbildning i yrket.Dåligt bemötande för alla-utom om du är italienare, då fjäskar personalen.

23/06/2025: Visitamos la pizzería Vesuvio Ristorante en Rapallo como parte de una excursión en crucero, justo en el paseo marítimo, por lo que la ubicación es ideal para una escapada panorámica. Nos ofrecieron aperitivos gratuitos y una parada de baño aquí durante el recorrido. La pastelería era fresca y sabrosa, los cacahuetes eran sorprendentemente buenos, y el jugo golpeó el lugar en un día cálido. Si bien no pedimos una comida completa, el servicio fue amable y rápido. Consejo: Si vas a caminar por el paseo marítimo o en una parada de crucero como nosotros, es un pequeño lugar genial para refrescarte y disfrutar de la vista. ¡Consideraría volver a probar su pizza!

09/10/2025: DO NOT EAT HERE Food was good. Service was great. Then our €92 bill ballooned to €161. Seems we were hot with the usual tip, city tax, charges for napkins, cutlery, etc. Read the reviews. It’s a trend at this place.

30/09/2025: Amazing experience. Food is so fresh. Staff is so attentive. We sat by the water and had a perfect experience. I don’t understand the reviews. If you don’t want to go to a high end restaurants that changes more than the rest of Italy, don’t come to Portofino. 100% worth your money!
