23/06/2025: As always I am writing a very detailed review also because I really enjoyed this place. It was my birthday on 06.21.2025, and we went for lunch. We booked. We were greeted by the staff with great kindness and made to sit on the patio with a beautiful view of the sea, and lots of fresh air, the table was set very elegantly, as soon as the waiter arrived, very nice and kind, he took our order. I must say that everything arrived very quickly... we chose: spaghetti with clams, rating 8 with so many clams that the dish was huge, risotto with scampi cream, rating 9, seafood gnocchi, rating 8. Then we tried two different types of cod on the advice of the waiter, I must say both were excellent... I have never tasted cod in those two ways... served with elegance and beauty, because even the eye wants its part, rating for the two cod dishes 10!!!. My daughter preferred a nice plate of scampi... excellent rating 8. Then the final treat was the sorbet.... very special because GREEN APPLE SORBET.... EXQUISITE!!! NEVER TRIED BEFORE.. A GEMS OF THIS PLACE! and finally... we hadn't brought the cake... and the owner Stefania sent us a cake just for us with a dedication that I have to say was excellent, rating 9. In short, everything was perfect. Everything was excellent. I absolutely have to go back! You can't go wrong because you eat really well here. Thanks to all the staff!

12/06/2025: Loved it! Some of the food didn’t look like it would taste the way it did, some looked like a work of art. All of it was incredible and enjoyable. Service and wines were excellent, too.

10/06/2025: Disappointing. It seems that not much remains of the excellent impression I had 3 years ago at the first tasting that was sensational. The environment is less cared for, it was hot and noisy and uncomfortable (bar area). The wine list on the website is not updated and even one of the appetizers has undergone an unreported change (zucchini instead of artichokes... it may seem like a small thing but in Rome the artichoke should be sacred). Short and unbalanced menu on bold combinations. Some very disappointing dishes: fusilli with cod cold and sticky as well as with an imprecise and not up to par final taste. A handful of asparagus presented as a second course at the incredible price of €26. Grilled fish covered in sauces that make it unrecognizable to the sight and taste. Other things fortunately more focused but overall the order of our table far below expectations. Service always courteous and prepared. Our bill was certainly weighed down by the wine but overall my feeling is that we didn't spend the beauty of €100 per person well at all, which in Rome is more than enough for much more satisfying gastronomic experiences.

29/06/2025: Very nice location, ideal place to spend a wonderful evening. The waiters are prepared and available, ready to satisfy every request with professionalism and courtesy. It is not the first time we come, and it certainly will not be the last. Each time we have found a reason to return, between good dishes and a welcome that makes us feel at home.

25/06/2025: Terrible experience. Group of 30 people, went to the cashier to pay, some in cash, some with a debit card. We were told "you blocked my cashier", because of the queue that was created for payment, absurd. But beyond the controversy, it is always the education in saying things that makes the difference, and it was missing, too bad.

01/06/2025: A very nice, upscale restaurant. Fine, perfectly coordinated dishes. Our personal highlight of this visit, however, was our waiter, Giovanni. A huge thank you again for the outstanding, witty, and entertaining evening, which he personally made so special. Therefore, 10 stars for the service would be appropriate! Thank you so much!

14/06/2025: Taken for a ride for a delivery. We call to ask if it is possible to place an order with gluten/lactose-free items on the delivery platform. The answer was: "sure, just put it in the order notes directly on the platform", and so we decide to do. We proceed with the order, but we realize that it is not possible to insert notes on the platform. So we send the order and immediately, literally at the same time as the order received notification, we call back to warn that 2 items in the order were gluten-free and they reply "impossible" you had to insert it in the note (note not present in the interface). We said that there was no way to include the note in the order and they added: It is also impossible to cancel the order as we are already preparing the order" (sent less than a minute before...). After various discussions with the restaurant who then at a certain point also hung up on us, we found ourselves forced to call deliveroo and cancel the order and ask for a refund. In my humble opinion, this is not the way to treat a paying customer, given that the order had been placed a minute before they could have understood the circumstance and made the two pizzas gluten-free. Quite a sad experience.

02/07/2025: This was a great find. The hotel recommended it and it was only a short walk from Occidental Aurelia. The restaurant is charming and traditional. We sat in the garden, which is vast and all tabkes with sun parasols. The food was excellent and we had a bottle of their own wine, which was so good and only 10 euros a bottle. We started with the most amazing salmon which was marinated in lightly pickled onions. Simply delicious. I had veal and my Son had pasta, followed with a gorgeous turamisu. Wonderful!

28/06/2025: In terms of food and ambiance, it's not a bad restaurant. However, it doesn't get 5 stars because we waited 25 minutes for dessert and another 15 minutes for the bill.

24/06/2025: Top location, being right in the center and if you're lucky, there's also parking a little further on (but there are about ten, no more!). We didn't stay overnight, but we went to the restaurant for lunch. Generous portions, interesting menu. Maybe they weren't expecting all the people who then arrived, being first only two and then three (two in the dining room and one in the kitchen) but we waited a bit too long between the appetizer and the first course, and we were a bit hungry. We had a cutting board as an appetizer that I recommend for two because it's abundant and complete (18€) and a caprese, as first courses we had a carbonara with truffle and a cacio e pepe with pistachio. Too bad for the wait, I certainly would have enjoyed it more but I understand the unexpected. A ten/fifteen minute walk (or 5 by car) takes you to the Belvedere for Civita Bagnoregio.

14/06/2025: I did not rate the rooms because I only had the pleasure of having lunch, but if the passion that is put in by the staff is the same as the restaurant, the rooms are also a positive certainty. Everything taken care of in detail, with dishes to lick the plate at the end. Everything very good, with excellent service in an intimate and welcoming context... even my dog ​​Black received attention from an impeccable service. Professionalism, courtesy, friendliness. A thank you therefore to the staff for having made me spend a good time of my holiday and I will not forget as always happens for those, or what, makes me feel good. Nico.

29/06/2025: This is a fantastic restaurant in a beautiful medieval village. Most charmingly located and offering a stunning view of the valley and the distant Monte Soratte. Excellent cooking, good wine list, very friendly staff. It is absolutely worth the 3-minute detour from the main road. Easy to find and easy to park (free).

03/06/2025: Truly a typical Italian trattoria, where you are welcomed with kindness in a place with a retro style and exposed faces. The cuisine is typical of Lazio with excellent raw materials and with some truly special dishes. Highly recommended are the pappardelle with mangalitza ragù, wild pig cooked in wine. Excellent choice of desserts all homemade. Excellent service and trained and professional staff. Finally a typical place to feel good.

29/06/2025: An exceptional place in the center of Rome on the Tiber River. Excellent food. I have been going there since it opened many years ago. Excellent fish and meat and also the first courses. Ideal for booking parties.

23/05/2025: We were there at the end of May. From the street, it doesn't look that special, but once you're inside and walk to the back, the restaurant is very nice. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The servers were super friendly and attentive. Excellent value for money. We paid €60 for two, including drinks, two main courses, a salad, and vegetables.
