We've been going to this restaurant for over 15 years; it's one of the best in Rome, near the Vatican! A warm welcome, excellent food, and reasonable prices!

After spending most of the day @ The Vatican/Vatican City, we came across this amazing restaurant for a late lunch. The venue was PERFECT and the food was outstanding! I had the cheese ravioli and my wife had pasta with pesto. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. Seriously....Best pesto we have ever experienced. Ristorante La Pilotta Rome gave us a kind welcome (picture with the owner), served an incredible meal, and we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Situated near the Vatican, with a partial view of the dome of St. Peter, this wonderful place offers excellent dishes and good portions. The service is excellent. I live in the neighborhood and regularly have lunch here.

Out of all the places I ate in Rome, I felt this was the most authentic. I felt like I was invited into someone’s home and they made me a home-cooked meal.

07/08/2026: Quality and tradition at the table. Simple dishes prepared to perfection. I feel like I'm at grandma's house. All the first courses are exceptional. The artichoke alla giudia is perhaps one of the best you can eat in Rome. The meat is wonderful and treated with respect. The veal breast alla formata is a must-try. The pizzas are also good. What more can I say?

25/06/2026: Our hotel was across the street from the restaurant, and we went there for lunch and dinner. The dishes were delicious, well-prepared, and the food was high quality. The service was spectacular! When we come to Rome, we will definitely return.
