22/05/2025: Veramente terribile, nella pasta nn c'era neanche il parmigiano, la cotoletta e le patatine erano chimiche, non ci tornerei neanche se fossi obbligato

19/04/2025: Evening in Lanciano for the Easter Good Friday procession, you don't know where to go to eat and you come across the Il Chiostro restaurant. Truly a great discovery! Excellent and good quality food! The girl's service, always with a smile, to be rewarded! The prices are very honest, with 2 courses each, house wine and water we didn't reach 85 Eur. The only flaw was that since the place was full and we had so many paellas that evening, we waited a little longer to eat. But it was worth it! Compliments!!

14/05/2025: The arrosticini are excellent, these alone are worth a visit. The chitarrine with sheep sauce were decent, but in my opinion they had too much tomato. The service was courteous

07/12/2024: Two things I liked the most: the wall full of photos from Renato Zero's albums and the clean coffee spoon, without streaks or strange stains. Aside from everything, a very welcoming place with knowledgeable and smiling staff. A piece of homemade cake for 1.5 euros....a beautiful memory, but in this place it is still a reality. 4 stars for the cost of the soy cappuccino, which many charge much more than the classic one, not knowing that soy costs less than milk

13/06/2025: . A big disappointment. A restaurant where we went many times to eat good meat and we were always very satisfied. After a long time we returned and the quality of the food had gotten much worse. Ham that tasted of nothing and the melon too, bruschetta with a truffle that had no flavor, very hard steak, chips served in a bed of oil and finally a very high bill that if we had eaten in a starred restaurant perhaps in comparison we would have paid less. Highly not recommended

25/05/2025: Last night we were in L'Aquila for work. We finished late and found this restaurant open so we decided to go. When we got there, the place was empty with only a table of about 22 people, we asked to be there and we sat down. We waited about 20 minutes for a starter that was a bit miserable for its €9 but ok. The absurd thing is that to have about 30 arrosticini on the table we waited about 40 minutes. In addition, the attention to the customer is really non-existent. As in these 40 minutes we finished the beer previously ordered, and no one approached the table to ask us if we wanted something else good or not. Finally, the bill came. We ordered 30 arrosticini for €1 each so €30. Then an appetizer €9. 2 large beers €8. Then 2 cicchetti di geziana that I think he made us pay about €4 each And I think €4 for the “service” for a total of €60 for two. ……… I came back here because I came years ago and I had a good time. But perhaps over time the passion for one's work has been lost a bit and I certainly don't think I'll go back Strictly personal opinion based on my experience See you later

11/05/2025: The best kebabs ever! A quiet and welcoming place, a little out of the way but it's worth going there even just to taste the kebabs cut with a knife. They are tender and delicate, cooked to perfection. The bruschetta and various side dishes are also good. A round of applause to the lady who welcomed us and put up with us throughout the evening. We will definitely be back!

19/06/2025: The owner is courting my girlfriend, but damn, the food is great. I have a discount (and you understand why) and anyway it's always from 50 to 70 euros. Now I'm banking on the waitress who is beautiful.

18/06/2025: Sapori di Mare is a wholesome, simple homecook style cooking using very high quality and fresh seafood. The chef uses minimalist approach to highlight the quality of the seafood and the taste of the seafood itself. I have eaten there multiple times over the past two years and the food quality, taste and refinement just keep getting better. If you are looking for fine dining experience, Michelin star gastronomy adulteration of the fine ingredients and a fancy facility then you should not come here. If you are seeking top notch seafood quality (and can appreciate the subtleties of the best and freshest seafood), cooking style that is simple and yet elevate the natural taste of the best ingredients, and the ambient of the ocean front and ocean breeze with a casual atmosphere then this is your place. Some reviews indicated that this restaurant is a tourist trap which doesn’t make sense to me as the restaurant charge the same to foreigners as Italians, doesn’t advertize with a “tourist” set menu like other restaurants nearby and treat everyone the same with the infamous italian no nonsense service. If most others reviews, especially from the locals, can give 4+ stars because of the quality and taste of the food it makes me think maybe the reviewers that emphasize on cost and dining experience simply missed the point that sometime dining is really just about the food taste and quality, and be ok with the normal/average local standard of service. I would recommend to try the raw ”crudi” and hot “caldi” appetizer, mix grilled, D&G calamari, quarzetto (a mix seafood in a red sauce) and a chitarra pasta cook in the leftover juice of the quarzetto dish.

01/05/2025: Last night I went for pizza recommended by a friend of mine. The pizza was delicious and very digestible, the desserts were very good and the waiters were prepared and very polite. I'll be back soon.

29/05/2025: Very nice restaurant. Welcoming service. I tasted the 6 courses chosen by the chef. The first 3 very good (fish sashimi, mixed carpaccio and tartare) the other three quite disappointing (normal uramaki, gyoza and vegetable tempura). In my opinion the tastings should not fall into the obvious. All in all everything good, nice environment and precise service. If they want to improve as a restaurant, definitely see the tastings

11/05/2025: Prepared and super friendly service, quality and refined raw materials... exceptional sashimi, even more fish ramen, even the gyoza were divine... prices above average, but then you pay for quality... Only flaw? Coffee at €3 and cover charge at €4, definitely too high.
