03/03/2026: Spending an evening at 12 Apostoli is certainly a truly unforgettable experience.
An ancient restaurant, simply wonderful, where you can breathe history, culture, and passion, with a relaxed atmosphere.
The staff were impeccable: kind, attentive, and always smiling.
Each course is prepared down to the smallest detail, with authentic but not always surprising flavors. The appetizers are admirable, with a wide array of flavors. The sea bass and goat cheese wafer is a real surprise. Fantastic.
It's a shame about the first course, where my wife didn't like the smell and taste of the oven-dried yeast... and it is indeed very unique. And the same must be said for the partridge with pearà and brown stock, where the very tender meat was overpowered by a pearà that was truly... too peppery.
The wine pairings were good, except for the Barolo, which was perhaps a little dull for the accompanying courses. The sweet wine paired with the desserts was excellent... perhaps a little expensive!
The requirement that all diners must choose the same route is limiting.

09/02/2026: A friend recommended this pizzeria; four of us made a reservation. I wasn't thrilled with the shift-based approach, especially since they don't respect the hours. We arrived at 8:00. We were seated at 8:15, and our pizzas arrived at 9:15. Management is definitely not efficient because everyone arrives at the oven at the same time. The pizza is definitely good, one of the best in Modena. Another issue is the loud noise in the dining room. The staff is always friendly and helpful, although it's difficult to stop them to order. The atmosphere is clean and the staff are friendly.
01/02/2026: For us, Antica Moka is a place with a very special charm. The atmosphere is elegant, cozy, and pleasantly relaxed—perfect for a delightful evening in Modena.
The food impressed us with its refined, traditional cuisine. High-quality ingredients, lovingly presented, and wonderfully balanced in flavor—every dish was a true experience.
The service was attentive, warm, and very professional. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and return to anytime. 🍽️🍷✨

28/01/2026: We were given a coupon for a 5-glass pairing, and we went last Sunday for lunch to celebrate my birthday.
Excellent welcome, very prompt and attentive service, but the atmosphere was quite informal, which we appreciated.
We truly felt pampered!
Starting with the excellent mousse bouche and bread, all the courses were delicious and beautiful to look at.
The wine pairings were quite unique and spot on.
A truly wonderful discovery!
The visit to the well-stocked cellar was interesting.
We'd love to return, perhaps in another season, but since we're not used to eating out a lot, we'd prefer a tasting menu of up to 5/6 courses, because with 7 plus the rest, the meal is quite a demanding one.
Highly recommended!
15/01/2026: We happened upon it by chance for lunch on Christmas Eve, crossing the Apennines on our way to Umbria.
A charming place, impeccable service, exquisite dishes. Reasonably priced, absolutely well spent for such an experience.

16/01/2026: A simply extraordinary experience at the Michelin-starred Convivio Troiani restaurant! I chose the tasting menu and it was a truly exceptional experience: dishes magnificent to the eye and memorable to the palate. The service was impeccable, warm, and made you feel immediately at ease, thanks in part to Giuseppe's attentive and professional welcome. Kudos to Chef Angelo for his refined, exciting, and authentic cuisine. A unique experience I can't wait to repeat! ❤️

06/12/2025: This is one of the most difficult reviews... judgment can't be separated from the bill, and according to the latter, everything should have been perfect, but unfortunately, it wasn't.
Nothing serious or particularly wrong, but a combination of factors that didn't allow us to reach a rating that met our expectations.
I won't dwell too much on the flavors; they're personal; my palate wasn't able to appreciate pairings like octopus and rabbit. The pasta served almost underdone, and the over-emphasizing of a "simple" salad seems excessive for the quality of the restaurant.
The service was impeccable in its courtesy, even if a little too pompous in its manner.
I expected perfection that I didn't find, and for this I'm disappointed, as my expectations were high after reading the comments from friends.
May these criticisms serve as a spur to rediscover the path to perfection that is within your reach.

10/02/2026: We visited this great restaurant with a group of ten and had a fantastic menu proposed to us in advance. A real delight, with great wine selection and delicious grappa to round things off.
19/01/2026: I've been back after a long time. I used to love it, and the food is still interesting. The atmosphere has gotten a little colder, though, and one thing bothered me most: I left with a really bad smell. Even my coat was in the cloakroom! I think a restaurant of this caliber can't afford to let people leave with the smell of cooking on them.

05/01/2026: The Italian Truffle Experience! You shouldn’t miss it if you’re a truffle lover!
Since both the menu and truffle varieties are seasonal, it’s a wonderful place to dine year-round.
That said, in my humble opinion, the best time to visit is from mid to late December, when you can enjoy exceptional dishes featuring White Truffle and Pregiato Black Truffle.
30/11/2025: My wife, our dog, and I had dinner at this beautiful property on a weekend in November. The welcome was warm and homey, yet with attention to detail. The staff took turns during the tasting, demonstrating great knowledge and professionalism. We truly had a pleasant evening, and they shared stories and helped us discover the various regions of Umbria through the food and wines, both carefully selected and paired with passion. Thank you.

09/03/2026: I think it's the best restaurant in the area. Excellent food. I had made a reservation for my group of forty people and we arrived precisely at the scheduled time, but we had to wait an hour to be served. We chose the tourist menu, which had been pre-arranged days in advance. Only three people opted for the à la carte menu, where they ordered much less than the tourist menu. In the end, they had to pay the same amount as the others, which wasn't fair at all. I highly recommend it, but if you're bringing groups, set the conditions in advance, otherwise they'll overcharge.
04/03/2026: The place is very large, a bit disorganized, and the menu is a bit limited, but the quality of the products is excellent.
Worth a visit.

04/01/2026: Within just one week, we found our way to Ristorante Sissi in Merano twice.
The owner, the charismatic Andrea Fenoglio, insisted on spoiling us with a completely new, enchanting surprise menu on our second visit. No repeat of the already brilliant first menu – instead, fresh creations that once again captivated our senses.
It was a grand culinary spectacle on a plate, imbued with genuine, warm hospitality. In this elegant Art Nouveau space with its sparkling chandeliers and timeless charm, you can feel it: this isn't just a place for cooking, it's a place for living and loving.

17/01/2026: I often return to La Madia, at least once every three months (COVID-19 permitting), and in recent years I've seen a volcano of creativity and flavors that has slowly become more refined: from the service to the dishes, from the tasting menu to the flavors, the chef's great creativity and his restaurant have, in my opinion, taken things to the next level. It's a shame there's no longer an à la carte menu, which I think remains a useful option, especially for those who already know the restaurant well. However, the tasting menu is rich and balanced, with dishes that deliver both guaranteed results and more daring ones. Last night, it was yet another confirmation, with a long-aged rib-eye steak, cauliflower in hay sauce, and orecchiette with turnip pesto that were truly dreamy.
The quality-price ratio is also excellent, and the service never makes you feel uncomfortable; in fact, it feels like eating at your mother's... a somewhat sophisticated mother, let's say.
