23/07/2025: Simplemente excepcional. Todo es: ambiente, equipo, servicio, comida. ¡Y omg su pan! Estaba fuera la segunda vez y volveremos de nuevo. Creo IT es uno de los restaurantes más notables de su tipo!
06/07/2025: Cenare allo Star Roof, nel cuore dell’Arena di Verona, è stata un’emozione che difficilmente dimenticheremo. Una serata firmata dallo chef stellato Giancarlo Perbellini, che ha saputo regalarci un viaggio sensoriale tra sapori raffinati, creatività e rispetto per la tradizione italiana.
Ogni piatto è stato una scoperta: abbinamenti sorprendenti, materie prime di altissima qualità e una cura maniacale per i dettagli. Il cibo era semplicemente fantastico — un equilibrio perfetto tra innovazione e gusto autentico, capace di emozionare ad ogni portata.
Un ringraziamento speciale va a Giancarlo, chef di straordinario talento ma soprattutto persona umile, disponibile e appassionata. La sua presenza discreta ma calorosa ha aggiunto un tocco umano a una serata già perfetta.
Il personale, altamente qualificato ma mai altezzoso, ha saputo coccolarci con professionalità e gentilezza, facendoci sentire accolti e al centro dell’attenzione senza mai essere invadenti.
Il tutto incorniciato da una location unica al mondo: l’Arena di Verona, che al tramonto si trasforma in un teatro magico, rendendo l’esperienza ancora più speciale.
Consigliatissimo a chi desidera vivere una cena stellata in un’atmosfera davvero unica. Un’eccellenza tutta italiana che merita di essere celebrata.

17/06/2025: We left this place far richer than when we arrived. The food was good (best Modenese food of the trip), but I'll remember the kindness of the chef and staff for far longer than the taste of the food. If you want to make a lasting memory in Modena, this place would be my recommendation.
(We chose the traditional tasting menu, which was incredibly filling. Declining the extra bread with olive oil might be a wise choice.)

10/08/2025: It's the restaurant that, a few years ago, opened up the world of exquisite cuisine and food/wine pairings to me. 🍷 I might not be objective, but even when we first came and were tempted by the tasting menu, we couldn't understand why this place didn't have a Michelin star. Now they have one, and it's well-deserved. 🤩
The great attention to customer service is noteworthy: they "invented" a menu for a vegetarian friend, it was touching. 😚
Andrea, the sommelier, is a force of nature, and his ability to surprise and delight is a quality that's far from obvious. On the other hand, his solid foundation and curiosity are reflected in a nearly infinite selection of wines.
The entire staff, from the friendly and experienced head waiter to the dining room staff, is trained to enhance this wonderful dining experience: everyone always has the right smile, never intrusive, is available when needed, and has a highly appreciated ability to work in a group. ☺️
In conclusion, if it weren't so far from home, we'd be here every week: is that enough to understand how exceptional it is?

10/08/2025: Five because I reward those who put in the effort and a good dinner. The cheese and wine pairing was excellent, I'll remember it. I won't remember the zucchini dishes; I don't believe in their seasonal verve, I think they're good with berries. I think it's a more autumnal place. One criticism: I don't like presumption, and if I come to a Michelin-starred restaurant, I want to arrive with a clean slate, not with any expectation of wine or food knowledge. If I don't have that, I'll seem rude. I don't have that; I've tried many just out of curiosity, not to act like an expert. I won't judge you, except with a five, but don't judge those who come to you.

12/07/2025: You expect amazing food from Michelin star restaurants- Il Convivo troiani gives you not just creative platings, but the service is outstanding! We watched our hosts glide between tables with ease- you get a whole group of personalities all immensely friendly. They are subtle masters of their craft and I truly enjoyed the service as much as I did the meal!

09/07/2025: Excellent tasting menu, we chose “TERRITORI Alessandro” but changed the first course for the famous tortellini stuffed with ossobuco, a must-try in my opinion!
01/07/2025: Sono stato al “Luogo” con il mio compagno qualche settimana fa per puro caso. Non avevamo una idea precisa del ristorante, ma lo conoscevo di nome. Eravamo in zona e abbiamo deciso per una prenotazione al volo. Sulle prime i prezzi del menu e l’abbigliamento degli altri avventori ci hanno spiazzati, però l’accoglienza del personale era stata molto cordiale, le descrizioni dei cibi molto invitanti e così, visto che si vive una volta sola, abbiamo deciso di lanciarci. E abbiamo fatto benissimo.
Abbiamo mangiato la Fettuccella di pasta fresca con faraona di Miroglio
e funghi porcini essiccati dell’Abetone
e il Controfiletto di vitella Fassona di montagna con panure di camomilla e composta di cipolle di Tropea.
È stata una splendida esperienza di alta cucina. La delicatezza e la personalità degli accostamenti creano una suite emotiva di sapori che si lasciano distinguere e sovrapporre interagendo col gusto. Molta leggerezza, un’attenzione meticolosa alla cottura. Molto piacevole l’atmosfera.

14/07/2025: A perfect dinner in every way. Innovative cuisine offering refined and delicious dishes (we chose the five-course menu suggested by the chef). Impeccable service, with the dining room staff being extremely kind, friendly, and helpful. We appreciated Chef Diego, who came to greet us at the end of the meal to ask if everything was to our liking. Recommended!
12/07/2025: We discovered this restaurant years ago, and over time, the excellent cuisine and extensive wine list have remained consistently high. The staff is extremely friendly. Highly recommended!

17/07/2025: Excellent food, poor and condescending service.
Pro: excellent presentation and most of the dishes were very good. The chef knows what he’s doing and probably has a good team in the kitchen.
Con: waitress was not impressed with us, a family of five with three quiet teens/pre-teens, perhaps as we only took the five course tasting menu. Sommelier paired the tasting menu with a glass without telling us one thing about the wine nor asking for our preferences. We had an ant in one of the kids dishes, instead of simply apologizing and replacing, waitress grumbled that she didn’t see anything and took it away, though it was replaced. They brought out the desserts, one short (4 instead of 5), so my wife didn’t have one of the desserts, they didn’t bring the 5th one out.
Feels like the service thinks treating customers badly gets them points. Instead, they just look like fools.
13/07/2025: Un amica mi ha fatto conoscere questo ristorante a Bagheria. Devo dire che tutto è preparato con prodotti molto buoni e con grande tecnica dal cuoco. Il locale è carino, il conto è corretto ed esci fuori con i sapori della sicilia in bocca.

18/07/2025: An Unexpected Detour Turned Into a Magical Experience
When our car broke down in the middle of nowhere in Umbria in the Fall of 2024, we thought our evening was doomed. But as luck would have it, our reservation at La Cucina di San Pietro a Pettine was still on the horizon. We called ahead to explain our delay, and to our surprise, the restaurant went above and beyond, sending not one, but two cars to rescue us! This gesture alone set the tone for what would turn into an unforgettable evening.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed with warmth and charm, instantly swept up in the magical atmosphere of the restaurant. Nestled in the rolling hills of Umbria, the restaurant exudes rustic elegance, with its beautiful stone walls, soft lighting, and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. It was like stepping into a fairytale, and the calming setting immediately lifted our spirits.
The real magic, however, came from the food. Each dish was a celebration of local ingredients and traditional Umbrian flavors, prepared with skill and passion. We started with a rich antipasto platter of cured meats, cheeses, and homemade breads that left us craving more. The main courses were equally impressive—tender pasta, perfectly roasted meats, and fresh, vibrant vegetables that tasted like they’d been picked just moments before.
By the time we reached dessert, we were completely enchanted—not just by the food, but by the whole experience. The service was impeccable, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and every bite was a reminder of why Umbria is such a special place.
Despite the rocky start to our evening, La Cucina di San Pietro a Pettine turned what could have been a stressful situation into a perfect night. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Umbria—this gem of a restaurant has earned a spot at the top of our list.

03/08/2025: We stopped for lunch, as we were also guests at the nearby hotel. We had a great time. The food was really good. Plus, the view of the lake is truly breathtaking. I recommend it.

16/07/2025: A bottle of good wine, a spectacular raw fish dish, and sea bass with potatoes cooked in salt. For the price, it's truly a spectacular restaurant! Highly recommended. I was even offered an excellent whisky after dinner (I wanted to pay for it, but there was no way!).
If I return to Cerignola, I already know where to eat!

07/08/2025: Summary: Good, but ordinary.
We had a lovely evening together at the restaurant. It's pleasantly quiet, without being boring. You're greeted by the chef, and the staff is friendly, but a bit aloof. The food is also undoubtedly good; we had the 5-course menu.
What we missed was that "special something" we would have expected from a Michelin-starred restaurant. From the decor and staff to the food, it doesn't seem as if they place any particular emphasis on offering guests something, but rather on delivering a solid, standard menu. Perhaps this is because many tourists are attracted by the star.
We were disappointed that there was a hair baked into the dessert, and apart from a brief apology, this wasn't addressed.
All in all, a lovely evening, like in an ordinary, good restaurant, but too expensive. We wouldn't go again.
03/08/2025: An evening that will be remembered for a long time. We chose the surprise menu and the wine pairing. The dishes themselves were already a dream, but the accompaniment took everything to a whole new level. Our many detailed questions about ingredients and preparation were answered either by the owner or one of his chefs. The service is very attentive and even answers questions that had nothing to do with the restaurant. Another big plus for us was that we were allowed to bring our dog into the restaurant. I'm giving it a dog paw as an (unofficial) accolade for this opportunity.

Trattoria La Madia

16/07/2025: A refined atmosphere, creative cuisine, and perfect service sum up my experience at this restaurant.
A refined wine list, a delicious bread basket, and a 7- or 10-course menu—there's no classic menu.
The preparations will amaze you, the simplicity of the ingredients will be highlighted, and, like in a game, nothing will be as it seems.
In essence, of the 7 courses, I really liked 3, 2 so-so, and 2 not so much.
The price isn't excessive, given the complete experience: the 7-course menu costs €60, the 10-course menu €70, drinks not included.
La madia is definitely worth a visit, even if, objectively speaking, this type of cuisine may not appeal to everyone... but that's certainly the beauty of it.
Compliments to all the young, well-trained, and professional staff who accompanied us on this delightful Sunday lunch.
14/07/2025: One of my favorite places! I've had several opportunities to try their cuisine, spaced out months apart, and they've experimented a lot over the years. It's a very experimental cuisine; they take flavors to the next level, completely transforming your taste buds. They always surprise me with dishes that are often simple in ingredients but expertly prepared and varied. Their menu is a fixed one (with small variations for vegetarians, though they do have most dishes suitable for vegetarians). The wait staff is always very knowledgeable about the preparation of the dishes and any other information you might need about the restaurant. Their wines are lesser-known (small producers), but I've always tasted some truly special ones, trusting the sommelier completely. The only flaw is that the atmosphere can sometimes be a bit noisy when the room is full (especially if you're sitting at the central table). Every visit is a true journey for me, as I let myself be transported by the unique and distinctive flavors they bring to the table.
