22/07/2025: Chosen for our wedding reception about twenty years ago, and it's no coincidence...the food is excellent, dishes made with quality ingredients and creatively prepared.
We've never stayed, so we can't comment on the hotel, but the restaurant is highly recommended. Refined in its simplicity.

23/07/2025: Si elige este restaurante sin leer cuidadosamente todas las reseñas de TA, tenga en cuenta que se enfrentará a largas esperas por su comida y una factura costosa al final.
Si está preparado para lo anterior, los platos estarán buenos , pero no exactamente como se describe en sus menús obtusos: por ejemplo, mi kebab de pollo ( 55 minutos de espera por 22 € ) no tenía ningún lado vegetal.
21/07/2025: Solo poche parole, pranzo squisito, piatti preparati dalla miglior tradizione persiana con tocchi di personalizzazione che hanno dato anche qualcosa in più. Era l'anniversario di matrimonio e mia moglie iraniana è rimasta pienamente soddisfatta. Ambiente amichevole, ottimo servizio, insomma, tutto splendido!

Hotel Villa Cipressi Restaurant

26/08/2025: My review only concerns the garden.
I can't believe we paid 10 euros for this. Apart from the gate that opens onto the lake, the garden has no particular interest (people doing a photoshoot in front of us didn't even get a picture of us in front of it).
But the real problem is the reception...
We arrive at 5:15 p.m., we ask for a combined ticket with the Villa Monastero. "No, it's too late." The lady explains that we no longer qualify for the rate, but that the two villa gardens close at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., so we can still go to the Villa Monastero, but we'll have to pay the full price. It makes no sense. All this without a smile. Here, they don't even give you a map; they tell you to "take a picture of the sign before entering the garden." For 10 euros, we could at least get a flyer. And the cherry on the cake, when we were leaving the garden, which I remind you we paid for access to, there are chairs, my husband stops for a second to put his backpack away properly before leaving, a lady asks us to move because "you are in the way of people coming to the restaurant", and yes the tourists and their backpacks were a blot in front of the customers in evening dress. In the end, these same chic customers, upon seeing us, stopped us and gave us big smiles because we had our dog and they found her so cute. They were not snobs! In short, you will have understood if you are not a guest at the hotel, I do not recommend this garden.
25/08/2025: Villa Cipressi hôtel is a catastrophic experience:
1) the hotel is fully of tourists : anywhere in the hotel you meet people making some « fashionista » pictures and drones at your window … Even in the main building of the hotel. Nothing intimist and private.
2) the room is a disaster. Nothing which looks like website pictures.
4) anything you do is extra pay!
3) service is mediocre: I asked to leave the hotel and being refundable. The manager refuses and kindly offer me the private car service to go back to my country whereas I have my car!
Conclusion: if you have money find another hotel. If you don’t then keep your money and go somewhere else

24/08/2025: Highly recommended, located a few kilometers from the lake in a very quiet area overlooking the mountains. We stayed two nights at this hotel. In my opinion, it fully deserves a 4-star rating. We were welcomed by the very kind staff. The room for two had an extra-large, extremely comfortable double bed. The bathroom had an extra-large shower. Their cleanliness and order are undeniable. The breakfast was excellent, both sweet and savory, served both outside and in their elegant and well-kept dining room. We didn't enjoy their dinner because the staff was on vacation, but judging by the menu and photos, the dinner should have been excellent as well. What can I say? A wonderful experience, thank you very much.
20/08/2025: We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed our time. The hotel is small with a warm, homely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was cleaned daily and was always spotless and comfortable. Breakfast had the classic Italian selection, which was simple but tasty. Parking was convenient, and the train station is just a few minutes away, making it easy to get around. Overall, a lovely place to stay.

31/08/2025: The best food in Lake Como! We went to Varenna for the day and had lunch here. Excellent service from all the waiters, exquisite cuisine, delicious dishes, and gourmet decor. Quality service and food, with a very good wine and sparkling wine list. Desserts: an art!
29/08/2025: We had such a nice dinner here a couple of nights ago! The owner and his wife were so kind accommodating my husband and I for dinner (have a reservation in advance!). It was our favorite meal we had during our trip.

We were five people and everyone's taste buds were satisfied. ❤️ The pasta was the best we've ever had, the salmon trout was delicious, and the tiramisu truly transported us to heaven and lifted our senses! The service was amazing; we felt like we were at our mother's house. ❤️ Thank you! It was lovely, delicious, and we'll definitely remember this place with a touch of nostalgia. 😁 If you're in Lierna, eat here!

The service wasn't great; one of the waiters (probably jaded by tourists) was pretentious and didn't even hide his annoyance when we asked for a replacement for a fork my son had accidentally dropped; this set the tone for the atmosphere....
17/08/2025: We went for Ferragosto and had a wonderful meal! I highly recommend the slow-cooked duck with vegetables.
